First of all, I want to say that I think ColoGuard is a good thing for people to test if colon cancer does not run in their family and their average risk. The problem with it is I think they had too many false positives. I am 71 years old and I have never had a colonoscopy and I kept procrastinating and not getting it. My family kept telling me to get it but I kept saying next year next year.Medicare Sent me a free kit of colorguard. I took it I sent in the test and I got back a positive result. I was scared to death cause I was thinking I had cancer because I put it off having a colonoscopy for too many years. I was frantic I finally pushed myself after receiving this positive test result to have a colonoscopy. The results were fantastic. I had no polyps at all no abnormalities everything was normal and they said they would see me in 10 years so even though colorguard made me worry for nothing it pushed me to get that colonoscopy that I kept procrastinating about.

This company has way too many false positives. I received an abnormal result followed up by a colonoscopy which found absolutely nothing. I'm also familiar with several other people that have had the same result. Don't let these people charge you or your insurance $700 for such an inaccurate test.

Cologuard by Exact Science is not worth it! The company sends you a text, states it time to talk to your physician about the test kit in ordering, though you don’t have an appointment for another 3 months. Two weeks later Exact Science sends another text stating they received an order and they will be shipping it out in the next week! You find out that Exact Science took it upon themselves to contact your physician to get an order! That’s against the law! Not only that you specifically tell Exact Science NOT to send the kit whatsoever to you! Your physician never ordered the test! Another week goes by and you receive a notice from UPS that a delivery is scheduled for the following day from Exact Science! Again you contact the company, record the conversation and tell them you are now going to file a lawsuit against them because you never authorized them contacting your physician or sending the kit! This company must be hurting for business and money! I wouldn’t trust this company at all! Plus read other reviews. This company has given to many false results!

Honestly, I still don't know the final outcome I just got the dreaded phone call today from the hospital that the test results came back positive which I almost shitted on myself cause I already have some severe health issues going on im a new dialysis patient I just started dialysis 4 months ago so im worried to death about that and now this other worried on top of all that .. im horrified...so please if someone to give me some righteous advice please do thank you for taking your time in reading my story ..im a 45m from orange County California...

They promise you a $25 rewards card for returning the kit! And never send it!

I would classify this as a total scam. I submitted a test sample years ago. I precisely followed all instructions, only to be informed that my sample was rejected, without any explanation as to why. I have been harassed by them for years now to take another test, even receiving another test kit which was sent to me without request. For people who do recieve results, the rate of inaccuracy is very high, especially when considering these inaccurate results can impact "life or death" scenarios. My advice, tell your doctor to consider other methods for detecting colon cancer risks. The irony is, their parent company is called "Exact Sciences" ... an almost comical misnomer!

If Exact Sciences, the maker of ColoGuard, was an ex I would have gotten a restraining order. This company is extremely aggressive. I received emails, texts, phone calls and letters almost as soon as I received the test kit. My doctor had told me there was no rush, this was just ordered as part of my annual wellness check. Apparently ColoGuard didn’t see it this way. Some of the texts were worded as orders to “complete the test in the next 48 hours.” The test is way more involved than it used to be and I would not do it again unless I had symptoms that concerned me. If you agree to do the test be prepared to be harassed.

This is the biggest scam. And what is the worst of all, that the healthcare providers fall for it, or maybe they're doing it on purpose to get kickbacks. I've ,tested positive for colon cancer. I haven't slept for 6 months couldn't work thinking that I had it. After the colonoscopy, the doctor was very surprised because I was clean as a whistle, no symptoms of cancer whatsoever. These scammers need to be stopped. I bet there are thousands of people who will sign my petition for a lawsuit against these a...............

My test was positive but I did not receive the results for almost 4 months. There is NO excuse for such a delay. I took the test in October 2024. The results were sent to my doctor at the end of February 2025.

Sent in the sample, following all instructions. My husband had recently done this and received results in timely fashion. Never heard anything about the sample. Contacted company (exactscience). They stated they received sample but didn't analyze it. So we do it again. We received a box, open it up, and find the sample which sent back to them!! That is crazy!! They sent the used sample back to us. How can that possibly happen?? Customer service could not even give us a straight forward answer about this. Extremely dissatisfied!! This seems like medical malpractice!!

Received a false positive. They claim it only happens 13% of the time but it’s much higher than that. If you do not have a history or any symptoms don’t bother. I can’t wait for the doctor bills to start rolling in for a procedure I did not need thanks to cologuard. It’s a scam. Waist of time and money.

Was shipped a kit without request. The Cologuard letter was written to sound like my doctor ordered it. In fact, my doctor did not! I called Colorguard and the customer service rep said to said my doctor ordered it and until I told him that’s not true because my doctor have my current address and the kit was shipped to an old address. Then rep went on to say my insurance company requested the kit, again another lie because my insurance company has my correct address. I asked the rep to remove my information from their database and his response was may I please have you current address. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! Stop sending my personal information to the wrong person!!! Very disappointing way to create business. One of the many reasons health insurance in so high!

Scam. Like a horrid illegal bill collector. (No I don’t have bills that haven’t been paid). I never agreed to give this scam company my personal info. They call, they message, I block them and they use another number and continue to scam you. they send kits. I have gotten at least 5 kits. No mention of cost to do it nor did I agree to give my personal or medical info to them. Avoid this company. Rumor has it your test always comes out positive anyhow. Just to force you to do an invasive test. No thanks. I’m going to have to put a complaint in with the state for hipaa violation and harassment.

My test came back positive. I had to pay $480 for a second test, which also showed positive. I ended up doing a colonography, and had no issues at all. All that worry for nothing. They even checked all my organs with CT scanning. Totally clean and fine. Beware - can’t be trusted!

Customer service was positively rude. Hard to understand and kept insisting that I didn’t comprehend what I was doing. Absolutely frustrating. Do not want any more interaction with customer support. 👎👎👎👎

I didn't ask for this and I don't have a Dr.,This means that insurance is giving them my info without my permission. I wouldn't touch anything in there. It's sketchy as hell if you ask me. Maybe the insurance company will make an offer to let this go but they can't give out my info to anyone.. busted.,.. greedy like every other part of this med system. Send my check to same address that you sold to cologuard and God only knows who else you are selling info to ..shame on you... What good is it to gain the world but lose your soul?

Cologuard inundates you with messages asking if you want a kit and provides now way to say no. The only option is to mark yes. Then thy continue to send mail, email and messages reminding you to do something you are not going to do. They provide no way to communicate with them to turn off this aggressive set of communications. This is a horribly run company from a consumer perspective only interested in sending out kits so they get paid.

What a joke!! Don't waste your time. I received my kit one year later after it was ordered.

I would give this a -10 if I could. This service is EXTREMELY expensive. I regular fecal test should cost about $40, maybe less. I got a bill for $681.00 for a simple regular basic test!! What?
