I’ve just successfully completed the Appointed Person (AP) Lift Planning course, and I can’t recommend this training company highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional — well-structured, informative, and highly relevant to real-world lifting operations.

A huge thanks goes to our trainer, Graham, whose depth of knowledge and passion for the subject truly set the standard. His approach to teaching was clear, engaging, and always rooted in practical application. He didn’t just prepare us to pass the course — he ensured we understood the responsibilities, legal frameworks, risk assessments, and technical planning required of a competent Appointed Person.

What stood out was Graham’s ability to break down complex concepts like crane configurations, load path analysis, and lift categorisation into understandable components, all while encouraging participation and critical thinking. He created a supportive environment where no question felt too small, and his real-life industry insights brought the material to life.

I now feel confident in my ability to plan and manage lifting operations safely and competently, thanks to the high standards of instruction and support I received throughout the course. If you're serious about becoming an Appointed Person or advancing in lifting operations, this is the team you want behind you.

What a great experience from start to finish! In the classroom Owen and Damo were very knowledgeable and couldn’t have helped anymore I was worried when it came to the theory but they helped put my mind at ease with the knowledge and feedback I was given. A great place to learn!

I recently did my crane supervisor course with cornerbrook.. the level of professionalism and knowledge these guys have can’t be topped. And the views on the crane industry they have are 100% correct. You won’t be disappointed if you go here.

I have completed my CPCS Slinger/Signaller A40A with Cornerbrook and couldn't be happier; the instructor was very knowledgeable and made the course engaging and fun to learn. The facilities and equipment on site are top notch and the practical aspects are well taught.
It's obvious that those who run Cornerbrook care about safety and take great care ensuring their new trained operators do too

I would recommend anyone who is looking at doing a CPCS lifting course to attend and will definitely be completing my NVQ and possibly a Lifting Supervisor course with Cornerbrook in the years to come.

Cornerbrook was a great place to do the AP course. The pre-course module was very useful and helped bring me up to speed before the week began which meant there was no lost time going over the basics. All instructors very friendly, Owen was very knowledgeable and experienced in all things lifting operations.

Just passed my AP corse with graham, from very little experience to understanding everything and passing first time with 0 penalties, they make the whole understanding and leaning process so easy am glad i went with cornerbrook👍
And there initial online corse access is brilliant, it gives you a massive leap on the first few days,

I took a lift supervisor course this week , and the knowledge given to me was exceptional. The trainer Owen was a great teacher who taught us how to be a lift supervisor and be exam ready , even drawing on his own experience. On Friday the tester Graham put us all at ease and was very professional, also Damian the crane operator was a great help and also very professional. Would recommend this company to anyone wishing to take up a training course
