Booking through Cornish Horizons was hassle free. Comprehensive, clear information about the cottages, (everything as stated), flawless communication and smooth payment transactions.
Regarding the booking: We really enjoyed our stay at Cosy Nook. The cottage was lovingly furnished and had everything we needed for two people. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was clean and the bedroom was cosy and quiet. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, there was even a welcome gift. The location is quiet and idyllic with a lovely garden which would have been great to sit in when the temperature was a bit higher than October. We would recommend this accommodation to others.

We rented Nigel house in Mousehole for the week. The house was ideally located with secure parking for one car, comfortable and tastefully furnished, very well equipped and although a dog friendly property very clean. Would highly recommend.

What an amazing holiday in a very very nice cottage „Dickins Barn“. Dogfriendly and peaceful area. Nice point to travel around to the best beaches. The owner are very friendly and helpful. We will come back again :-)

The apartment was lovely and suited our needs but unfortunately it’s not serviced very well. The glass shower screen in the en-suite was hanging off, a kitchen door also hanging off, toilet seat loose, en-suite light didn’t work, bedroom door didn’t close and an extremely mouldy bath mat. Most things were rectified by Monday but we were promised a new bath mat which never arrived. These were all problems which the servicing team should have been reporting. The property has a damp issue, there is a dehumidifier but if not emptied it automatically switches off and there was no sign that it had been emptied recently, it was full when we arrived. I have worked cleaning holiday lets so I know what I’m talking about. Also what is the point of an email address if they don’t answer??

The location of the property is great; although bathrooms fairly clean, my pillows had stains on them, there were plenty so I swapped them, the additional charge for the hot tub was not mentioned when booking; and in most places I have stayed if they provided a coffee machine just a few coffee pods would be nice, and a few washing tabs would also be a good gesture. The sofas were also stained and many cob webs. The garage was a positive ! All in all a lovely place to stay .....the welcome goodies were lovely , clotted cream and jam and butter , no scones though so a little random !

We stayed in a lovely little cottage in the middle of nowhere on the Lizard in Cornwall. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with good quality equipment and furnishings.
The booking process was very easy and the information provided was excellent. Good value for money.

A very reasonable priced cottage with all the amenities, vert nice and well placed

We booked Rose Cottage in St Issey on 4th February 2023. Three working days after paying the final instalment on 19th April, less than SEVEN weeks before our holiday we were informed by Cornish Horizons that the owner had just informed them there would be 'some building works' on the adjacent property and we should expect 'some' potential disturbance on our holiday, and after sending 4 more emails (a lot of my work is in the construction industry,) I was told "but it maybe completed by our visit." We reluctantly agreed not to cancel because we could not find a dog friendly, country property in the right rural location for June / July at such short notice. Everything that met this criteria was of course fully booked, so it was a case of lose our holiday or hope for the best.

On arrival we discovered the 'a new building" was actually a full scale building site to build 3 new houses, and after discussing the project with the site foreman that previous ground works had been completed in 2022 and they had been onsite since January and would be onsite until September (well past our June booking.) It was constantly noisy and to add insult to injury the garden we were expecting had been reduced to a small patch of land with a 7ft fence for a view. The owners live next door to the property and knew exactly what was happening, when it was happening and how noisy it was (planning permission to what I believe is a family member - same surname, was granted in 2017 and they commented on the planning application.)
At NO time either when we booked or in-between times did anyone tell us about the works. They waited until after we had fully paid and had no choice. If they had told us when we booked in February we would definitely have NOT booked it.

Despite telling Cornish Horizons from June their website was misrepresenting and miss-selling this property they refused to update the photos until a few weeks ago.

Avoid this cottage and this company like the plague!

Excellent location and beautiful deck overlooking creek. Property looked tired and in need of updating especially the kitchen which didn't feel clean. Oven dishes and frying pan had been put back uncleaned. Cupboard doors and drawers ill fitting. Lounge area was good and comfortable. Spiral staircase a nightmare....really tricky and very difficult to get up and down especially with suitcases. Double bedroom very small and you had to climb over bed to get in and out. Bunk room so small you would need to be a contortionist to get in them. Parking was good.
