I purchased a pair of sunglasses many years ago when the company offered a "lifetime warranty." They needed repair and I contacted the company to make a warranty claim. They would not stand behind their product and offered me a pair for 25% off on a new pair. I asked why they were not standing behind their warranty at which time they became rude and condescending. Save your money and go with a company that actually stands behind their warranty.
Since Costa has been bought out by Luxottica, their customer service and quality has gone downhill. The old company used to cover any small or large issue. Now they donât cover Jack. Itâs really a shame because my family and I have used Costa for over a decade and to see such a good quality product. Go downhill is really so disheartening. I wonât buy another product for them. I will be sticking with MJ or Smith from now on.
I had a cracked frame and they wanted to give me a discount code instead of a new one. I had an issue with my lens on brand new glasses. They issued me a discount code to buy a different pair without replacing the part. I had an issue with the hinges on a pair and they offered me a discount code to buy a new pair. Instead of fixing the issue of the previous classes they just want to get more money out of you for a new product. And after seeing the quality of their newer products, I would steer clear.

I have worn Costa sunglasses for the past 20 years. I had a couple of warranty related issues in the past that were promptly resolved. I purchased a pair of Coasta sunglasses last year for my wife. One of the legs recently broke and I submitted a warranty claim. I was told it was not warranty because thatâs deemed wear and tear, not manufacturing issue. This is a radical departure from what they used to be, I will find a new manufacturer of sunglasses for me and my wife in the future, a wasted $300 for a product that they no longer stand behind.

Since Costa no longer has a lifetime policy they tell me they will offer a 50% discount for my next purchase. Really! I mentioned these were a replacement for the original pair of Costa, there response was to provide the original receipt from 20 years ago. I let them know they have a record of my return 3 years ago. They often offer 50% or more off during sales. My advise is to buy from another company with better warranty service and honest practices.

I bought my Costa sunglasses on 7/9/24. About a month ago, my plastic frame broke on one side. About two days ago, the plastic on the other side broke and the frame was only being held together by the rubber strip. I submitted a warranty claim yesterday with pictures which was denied. These sunglasses are valued at $315, however I spent a little less through ID.ME as I received a first responder discount. I think most people would expect that a $315 pair of sunglasses would last at least 2 years. After my claim was denied, I attempted to contact Costaâs customer service which was extremely difficult because they only would allow me to chat with their AI assistant. After calling the number and having to lie and say that I was not calling from a mobile device (I was), I was put on hold for about 15 minutes. After that, someone named Ian answered and I explained my issue. I then gave him my service request number from my warranty claim and all he would tell me was that the warranty team had already made their decision. I explained that I was always extremely careful with my sunglasses and that I would expect that since they were valued at such a high price, that they would hold their value and not break so easily. He rudely said that the breaking from both frames was my fault and not the fault of the company. I then asked to speak to his manager and he said that the matter did not require a manager and that there was nothing else that needed to be done. I asked for a manager again and he told me that he wouldnât allow me to speak to one. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON COSTA! They will not cover your warranty claim!

Hello,
Not that it matters to your company, but I'm going to have my say on this anyway. I purchased a pair of your Costa Reefton sunglasses with glass lenses at full price (around $300) from a store in Southern Utah less than two years ago. The frame ended up snapping at the top near the nose bridge, so I followed the warranty procedure, the claim was denied to being covered under warranty, but I was offered to buy another pair at approximately half price, so I did just that. Only a few months later, that second pair, the frame had snapped AGAIN in the same spot. I went ahead and filed the claim procedure again only to have it denied again, and presented an offer to purchase at around half price again.
Why would anyone in their right mind throw money at a product and company with such little regard for their customers? Your corporate firewall (automated AI, etc) from customer communication is offensive, and your company has demonstrated abysmal integrity with regard to a proclaimed warranty. This experience prompted me to an Internet search on your reviews, which first took me to the BBB site. Although Costa/Luxottica is not a member, there are still around 60 complaints similar to my own experience regarding the NON-honoring of warranty. Then I went to the Costa Facebook page where every company post looks like a cringe corporate commercial ad, and under each one, indications of a number of comments, but when attempting to view those comments, they have been blocked from view by your social media team. I can only imagine why. Upon searching Costa sunglasses on Facebook, there are many a good rant posted by previous customers about your company's dishonoring warranty and how product quality has diminished since the original owners have sold.
I may be only one person, but I will do all I can to help others avoid the mistake of purchasing your product. I am nearly a level 7 Google reviewer geek, and now this also motivates me to jump on other relevant apps and sites to discredit your company's proclaimed warranty. Do not bother to attempt to have me provide details, dates, case numbers and receipts of my transactions with Costa, you've already wasted enough of my time and money.
The ONLY way to make this right is to honor your supposed warranty of your product. Look it up yourself if you care, it's the same email I'm using to write this final correspondence.

I want to start by saying that I have enjoyed your products since I was a kid. I have sensitive eyes, so I iave worn them from junior high into my late 30. I always purchased the zanes, and that was my go to for about 10 years and maybe 3 pairs or so. I recently found out you quit making them so I tediously scoured the new products to find the right ones, and I thought I landed on the perfect ones with the fantail series. With my narrow face they fit perfect and hugged to me. At some point something came loose on the ear piece and when it opens around my head it is loose, and when I jog or do any activities, they fall down to the end of my nose. I sent Ina. Request and was immediately told yall couldn't help. It is a crummy feeling when you feel like you have supported a company for over 20 years, to have them say sorry we can't help, because I was trying a new series. I won't lie if I can't get some kid of resolution, I plan to find a new company to move forward with.

Jâai acheté une paire de lunettes Costa Del Mar en version 580G en janvier, pour une utilisation en activités outdoor : pêche à la mouche, en mer, voile et randonnée.
Jâai utilisé ces lunettes moins de 7 fois, exclusivement dans un cadre domestique (voiture, travail). Elles ont toujours été manipulées avec soin, nettoyée avec le chiffon fourni, aucune chute ni exposition à un environnement abrasif particulier.
Malgré cela, les verres présentent déjà des micro rayures.
Jâavais choisi ce modÚle précisément pour la résistance des verres minéraux 580G et du traitement C-Wall. Je suis donc trÚs surpris de la fragilité observée pour un produit de cette gamme.
Suite à ma demande, le SAV via Powerline nâa proposé aucune solution, estimant quâil sâagissait dâune usure normale liée à une utilisation non adapté, sans proposer dâalternative.
En revanche, je reconnais que le confort est super et la polarisation est trÚs efficace.
Au final, la qualité optique est au rendez-vous, mais la durabilité pour des activités outdoor et surtout la prise en charge du SAV ne correspondent pas au niveau attendu pour un produit positionné haut de gamme.
Took my fantail pro off and the frame broke after 8 months. Glass are kept in the case when not worn. Warranty was denied and unable to get replacement frames. Only offer was to buy a whole new pair. Also had a similar situation to another pair but they were 5 years old so I understood why I couldnât get parts. When I called customer service for clarification and a link to right a review the agent hung up on me without a sorry or goodbye.

DO NOT PURCHASE COSTA SUNGLASSES. My wife purchased a pair for Christmas⊠less than a year ago. Within a few months the nose plate started to separate from the frame. So I went to great lengths to track down the purchase receipt. My wife purchased at @BassProShops. Their customer service is amazing! They retrieved the receipt from their database, and emailed it to me. I submitted a warranty claim, which was promptly rejected by Costa - claiming it wasnât a defect. From their perspective, the nose plate separating from the frame within a year is normal wear and tear! I cannot urge you enough- thereâs SO many other options than Costa. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!

New sunglasses less than 6 months old and the fame cracks above the lens. Costa will not warranty frame cracks. I have used Coasta's for 20 years and have all my boats crews using them and i will never wear a pair again. Very disappointing.

Iâve owned costa sunglasses for 25yrs, loves them, never had a problem with warranty-repair work Until today!!! They wonât warranty without receipt! That wasnât when I bought them 10-15 yrs ago!
Polarization always shrinks but theyâve always been great about fixing them. Now Without Original Receipt thereâs no warranty, not to mention ink fades/disappears 6-12 months, how do they expect someone to save a receipt for life! I paid top Dollar for Costas because of their warranty and craftsmanship! NOT NO MORE!!! BOYCOTT Costa!!!

Don't buy Costa Glasses. Absolute worst customer service and warranty I have experienced. I paid over $ 250 for a specific pair of lowlight glasses for flats fishing. After 8 days of light use on the water for about 3 hours each day they fell apart.
I made a warranty claim. They said the glasses were covered under warranty. Then said that the specific glasses I purchased aren't available under warranty so I could pick out a different pair and then they only gave a few options....and told me that I only had 2 days to pick or else.
None of the options they provided were the same lens color and/or didn't fit my head. I then went on their website and the glasses and lens I purchased originally were available. I called them back, and they then said that they don't offer all their glasses for warranty. WTF. So, I asked for my money back and I would send the defective pair back to them. They said that they would not return my money. I said I bought the glasses directly from Costa. They said it didn't matter.
I just now called and asked to speak to a supervisor, and they put me on hold and then disconnected me. Unless your glasses are amongst the handful that they carry at their warranty facility, there really is no warranty on Costa glasses.
Hey Costa, I see you have replied below. I've been contacting that "help" email address for 2 weeks. You all have been giving me the run around. I have a pair of defective glasses you sold me that fell apart after a few days of minimal use. You told me you won't fix them and can't replace them with the same lens or frame. I asked you to refund my money then.....you refused. Worst warranty ever!

To navigate through the online claims seems easy HOWEVER they take you through ALL the steps again! THEN they deny claim filed NOT saying why but giving multiple reasons why it COULD be denied (NOT AT ALL SPECIFIC!) You CAN'T find a phone # easily nor can you navigate through the phone recording. When you finally get a live person (good luck as the navigation is lengthy!) you get someone who tells you all looks good and they will process! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE when denied?? Sounds good right? WRONG! I asked for a supervisor as this is sketchy, you hold for over 30 minutes! Then are told while they were holding for a supervisor they graciously checked the status and it was approved! Funny how that works out right?! THEN you get disconnected!!! GOOD LUCK, don't trust them and know you are told it is a lifetime warranty but they will deny and lie. Currently I am back on the line with them to get my warranty handled, NEVER AGAIN!
