First time ordering, been to the restaurant a few times but closest one is miles away. Fancies something special for easter but to have at home. Ordered easter box plus a bread, lots of food, all top quality, minimal prep and tasted great. Would order again

Côte at Home boxes have always been a fun and reliable way to enjoy their steak and chips, French breakfasts, and more recently their wider menu options. Unfortunately, their expansion into themed boxes—such as the Mother’s Day offering—has not been as consistent, and my most recent experience was disappointing.
I was also struck by the number of additives listed. It’s a shame they’ve chosen to go down this route, as the level of E numbers felt excessive, quite off-putting, and not what I would expect from a brand positioning itself around quality French-inspired food.
Several elements of the meal fell short. The roast potatoes tasted sour, and the pumpkin gratin turned into something closer to soup or baby food once cooked. While their butchery remains strong—and it’s hard to go wrong with oven chips, good bread, and French butter—the dishes beyond that felt poorly developed, more on a mass produced scale.
Côte claims the recipes haven’t changed, but previous versions didn’t include overly sweet red cabbage (more like marmalade), pumpkin purée, or a jus that didn’t elevate the dish. It feels like these more elaborate offerings are outside their strengths.
Sadly, this wasn’t a pleasing experience, and I won’t be exploring the wider menu again. I’ll be sticking to what they do best: steak and chips, or their breakfast box.

Cooking instructions were correct and the garlic butter etc came separate in case you didn’t want to use it

I contacted Côte at home, special mention to Megan who sorted the issue out immediately, I’ve received my order and lovely treat in perfect condition.

Very disappointing Christmas festive meal. The Jus was missing, potatoes bought in (in a packet from a named supplier), parnisps and carrots ruined by addition of spices (?why - they are sweet and flavoursome without any additions), instructions were confusing and contradictory. 3 years ago we had a nice Christmas lunch from Côte, french style with dauphinoise potatoes. This year was horrible, we will never buy from them again.

We ordered the Steak date night box. This will be our fourth meal from Cote so we were looking forward to a good French meal after Christmas.
We were not disappointed the French onion soup was beyond good the steaks were tender and very tasty, the pepper corn sauce was creamy and complemented the steak without overpowering them, the frites were just like you get in a French bistro. The helpings were very generous so puddings had to wait! But the crème caramel was fantastic after a long break!
We have never had a bad meal from Cote well worth the money and fun to cook!

Just awful, out Christmas Day was ruined, the food was almost out of date on arrival, soggy, a grey/ brown colour and overly seasoned . The potatoes were dry and resembled school dinner food. We expected luxury what we got was nothing less the HMS prison services Christmas brunch . Even the packaging was poor and didn’t feel luxury at all. Never again

We have always enjoyed Côte Christmas box on many occasions but this year was very disappointing. The meal looked grey and uninteresting with shredded Brussels sprouts, finely chopped parsnips and small Chantennay carrots. The taste was also very bland. Your response is incorrect, nobody has spoken to me.

If I could rate zero I would have.
I have happily used Cote restaurants and Cote at home for years. I have just put the contents of the Cote at home Turkey box in the bin, the food was disgusting. My husband mentioned they must have new ownership and it turns out they changed hands in the Autumn.

Love Côte restaurants so thought we would try Côte at Home with a Virgin Experience voucher we had as a gift. Food arrived well packaged with a helpful booklet telling you how to prepare the food.
We chose the steak date night box, the food was amazing, good quality and there was loads of it!
A fabulous little treat, would certainly recommend.

Will never use again. Food didn’t turn up, I had to call the next day and was told they were surprised this had happened as they get notified if the delivery isn’t made so made me feel like a liar. Couldn’t deliver again for 4 days. Just not reliable.

Received a steak night for 2 as a gift. French onion soup funny after taste, not enjoyable. Steak tasteless and tough, fries the worst we’ve tasted, very dry and bland. The crème caramel was good. We have yet to try the spinach but don’t hold out much hope. In summary a total waste of money. We did try a couple of yrs ago and it was very good, so not sure why such a drop in quality, a real shame.

I got great service when I asked to change my delivery date. Thankfully my order was here on 14/11 before 9am, meaning that I could report the broken pot of thermidor sauce that'd dripped on my creme caramels and stunk the entire box out, and the ribeye steak that was rigid with solid, crumbly white fat running through it. I got a replacement steak on 15/11 that was flat and thin, definitely not something that a Côte restaurant would dare serve. There's no way this can be cooked rare. It looked more like rump than ribeye, without any marbling whatsoever - this was with the Butchery dept having had feedback. I'm utterly, utterly disappointed with this delivery for my birthday. The lobster doesn't come cooked, so that's a task non-expert-cook me will need help with. The scallops were incredibly smelly. Frites went crispy but didn't brown. Most items had a short shelf life. Creme caramel was amazing, however. Definitely not worth buying the date night or steak boxes. Happy birthday me ☹️

I was expecting high praise but I was disappointed.
I ordered a breakfast box. The sausages tasted ok but skins were tough with gristle bits in.
Bacon was scummy and too smoky.
Eggs cracked. I sent a photo and was offered £5 off a meal at Cote. Not impressed. Black pudding was yuck. Overpriced I could have got better quality from Waitrose

Have ordered from Cote about 5 times now and never had an issue. It's become a tradition that we always order a cote de boeuf meal for my husband's birthday. The food is delicious and so easy to prepare. I was surprised by the negative comments but they seem to stem from delivery issues mainly. I look forward to another delivery due shortly as their meals are delicious.

I ordered from this company in Sept 25 and the food was delivered on time and was packaged really well. I ordered a variety of goods including bacon, sausages, frittes, Dauphinois Potatoes, Beef Cheek Bourguignon, orange juice and a baguette with butter.
Everything was really good quality and delicious.
It’s not cheap but a fantastic treat and cheaper than eating out.

Ordered the breakfast box, however the eggs were smashed everywhere. On the sausages, bacon, orange juice, black pudding, bread and butter.
I took photos and sent to their customer service who offered £1.50 refund and £5 voucher. Where can you get 6 'premium free range eggs' for £1.50? Even on the website they come up as £2.00. There was no acknowledgment of all the other food we had to throw out as there was raw egg all over it, or the fact it had ruined the entire morning! Also no delivery reimbursement?
Improve the egg packaging or remove them from the box. Also the sausages were surprisingly cold, are they frozen beforehand?
