Excellent platform for legal knowledge

Excellent customer support and so far impressive legal platform. Still assessing but expect to be giving five stars shortly.

I cannot speak too highly of Courtaid.ai. It finds case law and associated materials in answer to my query, but the real value of Courtaid.ai is its ability to refer me directly to the source material. Many times, it offers AI chat features with the PDF. This helps me navigate through the document. Courtaid has improved my efficiency, but does so with rock-solid credibility.

The great experience is getting a format or a proper structure to address legal positioning for the best advantage for whoever is looking for justice and this practice helps reputation, realiability and resources that are very much needed to keep costs down for people acquiring legal services especially underserved communities that do not have the financial capacity for justice.

Self-represented litigants get a "bad rap" in legal circles. Lawyers say we clog up the Court system, Judges say we irritate them, and Court Registrars sigh deeply when they realise that we are filing as SRLs.

Enter Courtiad.AI.

I'm an NZ SRL who triumphed over a team of Senior Police Prosecutors within the Waitemata Police District, and I used Courtaid.AI to help me do it.

I wasn't clogging up the Court system; the NZ Police were instead chasing a case they could not possibly win; I wasn't irritating Judges; the Judges instead complimented me on my "excellent submissions", and my "level of preparation", which was far in advance of the preparation of the NZ Police; and Court Registrars didn't sigh deeply when they saw me; the Court Regsistrars instead came to trust my filings to the point of not having to check them for completeness or filing accuracy.

Court Aid does exactly what it says on the tin. Using it brings back memories of when I first used the music system, a full studio, on my G4 Apple Mac. The music, and in this case, the legal system, just spread out before me and I was empowered by the legal detail. The pricing is well thought out and worth every penny.

I have used CourtAid.ai for legal research. I work as a senior lawyer in private practice. I found CourtAid I somewhat useful, it’s a great concept, but the more I used it, the more inaccuracies I came across (incorrect case references, references to incorrect parts of legislation relevant to the query I was posing). I appreciate AI does this, it’s not perfect. I have subsequently cancelled my subscription because the act of having to check things were correct was counteracting any “efficiency gains” being made. What I am more concerned about is that there are CourtAid charges on my credit card beyond the subscription and I would like to get in touch with the company to find out what is going on. I’ve emailed them a few times to no avail - I cannot seem to get anyone to return my contact. My main concern now is that this company, who won’t bother to help me sort out my issue, has my credit card details!

The Courtaid ai has helped fast track research of similar cases and authorities. I would like the box for the list of juridsdictions to not over lap the page and obscure other text. perhaps have a split screen with a drop down to one side leaving the main screen clear. I like the improvements and see this tool is getting better. Good work guys. This also shakes up the industry and lets others see if they are on the right track. I am grateful for the help as a self represented claimant. The research results have kept my case going. Thanks again.

A really good product for legal research that does not hallucinate, is fast and reasonably priced.

This has saved me a lot of time. I use it mostly to find cases, and it's much faster than a legal database without costing thousands per year.

Courtaid is the best AI assisted legal research tool I have tried, certainly at the price. The summaries are pretty good, but the real benefit is the immediate access it gives me to the primary sources, often with the option to "chat" with the primary source. It becomes guided research, which is superb. No AI system can or should be relied on entirely, but Courtaid gives you the tools and access to confirm that what has been found is the right stuff. I cannot be happier.

Researching Court Judgements especially when there are multiple court judgements on a case is daunting at best. First I had to educate myself in how courts and judgements are recorded and stored and the various avenues to reach the right set of documents. I was researching documents for a personal project when an online advertisement appeared for Courtaid. Well wow. With the details I had gathered Courtaid gave me the entire collection of documents I needed. I am so grateful and if you need this information.... don't hesitate, it is brilliant!

I find CourtAid as a highly invaluable resource and tool for ascertaining Precedence's and Judgements in many Legal jurisdiction's, I am very impressed of the ease of use, the speed of returned answer's and the quality of relevant references cited. I highly recommend CourtAid as an important tool when undertaking Litigation or Defense. Well Done to the Court Aid Team :-)

I got clearer answers asking perplexity.ai the same question about NZ laws. It also couldn't direct me to a source of Employment Tribunal hearings. And I am flooded with junk mail extolling the supposed virtues of courtaid.ai - too much

Very informative for an average person. Links to cases that are relevant to the question asked. Would recommend to anyone to get a better understanding of where they stand before it starts getting complicated.

The case law is no more developed than any other generic AI! I have asked for multiple different areas and each has been incorrect. The cases are at least real, but the summary is incorrect. This system does not streamline legal research.

I asked whether aggravated or exemplary damages can be awarded against a neglient doctor who altered his clinical records to cover-up his negligence.

The answer I got was "while aggravated damages are not applicable for negligence, exemplary damages may be considered, particularly in cases involving egregious conduct such as altering records to cover up negligence.

Citations:1. ABC & Ors v Derbyshire County Council & Ors, Re Costs [2023] EWHC 1337 (KB) 2. Powell & Anor v Boldaz & Ors [1997] EWCA Civ 2002".

I read these two cases and didn't find the word exemplary though. In Powell case, it was about, among others, tort of deceit and fiduciary duty. The relevance to exemplary damages claim (non-compensatory, aimed to penalise) is rather slim, can't see the relevance. The Court doesn't like citations of precedents that are not on the point, wasting Court's time.

Good: at least the precedents are real, unlike some other Ai which lied and admitted their lies when confronted.

I came across Courtaid because I needed to some legal research and it was free. Whilst I can't say that it is comparable to big names like Weslaw and LexisNexis, Courtaid was good enough for me.

In fact, I would go as far as to say that whenever I made a query on the free platform the answer I got was often very comparable to a research memo drafted by a competent fresh law grad yet to enter into practice, but much faster.

Unfortunately, that is where Courtaid loses some points with me. As I said the answers given are usually comparable to a research memo done by a competent fresh law grad yet to enter into practice.

Indeed, a few times, I was directed to the wrong case when clicking a hyper-link and more often times, the answer produced was not in line with what I had expected.

Be that as it may, I always still come back to using Courtaid as a free platform to at least point me in the right direction for the solution I need.
