And those 4.9-star reviews on their website? Convenient, right? Total bullshit. You can’t even submit a 1-star review - the system just doesn’t work. It’s clearly manipulated to deceive people and that says it all.
I bought this product expecting something premium given the price - probably like you’re thinking right now. Unfortunately, what I got was the worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had, combined with the worst customer service imaginable.
The Bluetooth adapter worked for 2 or 3 weeks. Then, completely out of nowhere, it stopped connecting. I tried every possible fix, nothing worked. I contacted support - they gave me generic instructions that didn’t help either. Then they asked me to send the product back… to China! So on top of the already high price, I had to pay for international shipping myself - from Europe to China.
The product was rejected by Chinese customs and returned to me, damaged. I kept following up with the company for months, and the only reply I got was an insulting offer: a 30% discount if I bought a new product. Seriously?
I obviously refused - and from that point, silence. No refund, no solution, no accountability. Nothing.
Absolutely disgraceful. And again, this is not an isolated case. Just search for it - the number of complaints is massive. There’s probably a reason why the price dropped from over €100 to €70 this past year: wave after wave of unhappy customers.
Avoid this product at all costs.

The device stopped working after 1 month and they said if I returned it they would replace it. It’s been over 2 months now and they have not sorted me a new one and have now asked me to ship it back randomly. So this tells me I’ve been scammed. Keep well away from this company

Contacted customer service and got a run around, they sent bunch of technical specs and different type of updates that required flash drive to be formatted certain way bla bla tried and same crap. Asked for unit to be replaced was told that I would be required to pay for shipping on faulty unit and more over they asked me to lie on customs form and enter $25 as a value vs $100… Avoid at all costs. Can provide proof of all email exchanges and even videos of unit not working

El dispositivo solo funcionó unos pocos meses. Después se reinicia cada pocos minutos, Da igual que hagas un reset, que lo actualices, etc.
Escribes a CPLAY2air y no responden nunca, por lo que no hay soporte.
Escribes una review en su web y no la publican, solo muestran las opiniones falsas que ellos se inventan.

I can’t rate my experience of using this item as I have not received it. It’s been over 3 weeks now, CPplay2air refuse to send a replacement or refund. Bunch of con artists I would rate 0 if I could!!
Garbage - Does not work
The CPlay2Air does not work.
Prior to purchasing the unit, I emailed the company to confirm whether the device was compatible with my car (2024 Volvo V60). The customer service agent, April, responded that it was: "The adapter works with a standard USB or USB-C port and as long as your car has a working wired Apple Carplay."
Unfortunately, this was not true. When the device arrived, I connected it to my car. Nothing happened; the car did not recognize the device. After restoring the firmware multiple times, I was able to get the car to recognize the device, but it still didn't work. The infotainment screen was blank and the CarPlay apps did not work.
When I contacted the company, they attempted to troubleshoot the issue. They sent me a different version of the firmware with instructions for how to update it, which I did. Unfortunately, this did not fix the issue. The device cut out regularly, and it did not automatically connect when I turned the car back on.
Ultimately, I concluded the obvious: that despite the company's assurances, the CPlay2Air was incompatible with my car. Curiously -- and has been the case with other frustrated customers -- they refused to issue a refund. Instead, they asked that I pay to ship the device back to China as well as pay a $25 restocking fee. This struck me as unreasonable, and I contested the charge with my credit card company.
I love the idea of wireless CarPlay. However, this adaptor DOES NOT WORK. Save your money.
Horrible product and even worse…
Horrible product and even worse customer service. It will break within weeks of installation, and then when you ask about their advertised "1-year warranty" you will realize you actually will have to pay to ship back to China which is about 3x-4x the cost of the item. So effectively there is no warranty at all. They also admit (through the declared value field on a shipment) that the cost of the item is $15. So their restocking fee of $25 is more than the cost of the item. LOL!

After contacting support they tried to help me downgrading the software but nothing works. Because I didn't have an order number they refused to give any warranty. Conclusion: Don't buy the adapter there are much cheaper alternatives......
Perché non comprare Cplay2air
Iniziamo col dire che il prodotto arriva dalla Cina con tutte le problematiche logistiche connesse alla consegna e all'eventuale restituzione. Appena in possesso del dispositivo, seguendo passo passo le istruzioni, lo collego alla porta USB della macchina e parte il Carplay wireless, poi come da istruzioni aggiorno il firmware e dopo il 2° aggiornamento non c'é stato più verso di farlo funzionare. Faccio diversi tentativi ma, nulla da fare; scrivo al supporto facendo presente ciò che è successo e iniziano a chiedermi parecchi informazioni sul tipo di telefono, che aggiornamento firmware, che tipo di infotainment e che aggiornamento firmware come se le case automobilistiche rilasciassero aggiornamenti continui sugli ETM. Mi hanno suggerito inoltre di fare diverse prove ma il dispositivo, ancorché fosse in funzione (lucine verdi e rosse accese) non si è più connesso. Ho letto diverse altre recensione che lamentavano che dopo l'aggiornamento firmware (peraltro da fare su indicazione di Cplay2air) il dispositivo ha smesso di funzionare. Chiedo di poter effettuare la restituzione e mi scrivono che tratterranno 25$ dal rimborso che sommati ai circa 50€ di spedizione internazionale (non forniscono voucher per la restituzione) di fatto azzerano l'eventuale rimborso stesso. Insomma il dispositivo non ha mai funzionato e non posso neppure restituirlo perché antieconomico. Cplay2air poco seri e per nulla attenti alla qualità di prodotto e al cliente. Non compratelo perché se non funziona, come in diversi casi segnalati, avrete buttato 100€.

Save your money - don’t EVER buy their poor device.
Delivery time sucks. I got mine after 3 weeks. It actually worked for a couple of weeks but then malfunctioned. Too late for having a refund according to their incredible business policies. After weeks of trying this and that (they actually asked me to have a firmware update for my car) to make it work again, they gave up and reluctantly offered a replacement - but only after I had returned the original adapter at my expense!
At that point I wrote off that adapter as my poorest investment ever.
If you spend your money here and find it wasted - don’t forget I told you so.

Car controls all work with only a slight delay - load time is around 15 seconds but thats not an issue. Sound quality all seems great aswell.
Only tried once but initial view is works great as described online.
I panicked a little after reading previous reviews but I had already bought the device. Thought id best put a review on here so others aren't put off

Delivery time of over a month with no updates. Gets sent from China. I ordered mine over four weeks ago and I'm not sure I'll ever get it. I paid over 100 USD directly at their US webpage. I'd never order there again.
Firmware updates brick devices
I used my cplay2air adapter for just over a year and to be honest, it worked fine during most of that time, however it was a bit slow connecting my phone, so I did a firmware update, as the release notes said the update improved connection time. The firmware update from cplay2air bricked the device and they refused to replace it because it was out of warranty, even though their firmware bricked it. The worst bit is, looking at blog posts on Google, that firmware has been bricking devices for a while and they've not taken it down or done anything about it. I now have a totally useless $100 device and for that reason, I'd recommend you choose a different device.
CHINESE RIP OFF MERCHANTS PURE JUNK.
Chinese rip off merchants seen some positive reviews which are just plain fake or from saps who’s product is yet to fail, right alongside the multiple NEGATIVE reviews like putting £100 in the shredder plastic Chinese junk.

They demand that you ship the device back to China with a trackable shipment ($25-30) and only then will they evaluate and determine if they will refund or replace their defective item. Never experienced anything like this before.
Recommend not to touch
The product did not live up to the company's promise, although the connection to the phone has a problem of reconnection every time. I contacted the company but the response was limited. Recommend not to touch.

I never recieved my carplay
I never recieved my carplay. I waited 2 months and followed the package om tracking. Now it has been returned without asking me. I am wondering if it is a scam.
Dongle won't work
I bought a dongle from this company last year. About two weeks ago I did an update for the dongle, and after that, it hasn't been able to turn on again.
When I contact customer service, they seem willing to help. BUT I have to pay for the dongle to be sent back to China, which costs me about half the price of the dongle.
They say that this is the only way to fix the problem is to send It back, but the price is way too steep and they are willing to cover it, even though they have a 'One Year World Wide Warranty'.
This is not acceptable.
