I had a little accident which was covered by the full insurance. In this accident, the awning was slighlty twisted but could work. I was told they would repair it.
But that was a lie! Without any notice, I was charged 1500AUS! No invoice, nothing. I asked for an invoice and the one that was sent to me had no tax nothing no detail (cost of the awning, cost of the repair, tax) at all.
This is really not serious! They just took my money and that's it! I asked for a legal invoice but I never got any answer.
I feel I have been screwed up!
I will not recommand this company at all!

Everything was smooth sailing. It might not be the cheapest option out there, but for us not having to worry about anything is definitely worth paying a bit more

Very good experience. Well maintained motorhome with (almost) everything onboard what you need. Nice staff on both location (Cairns and Sydney) which gave plenty of tips and instructions. Unfortunately we damage the vehicle slightly, due to maximum insurance coverage we didn’t had any troubles or costs (just fill in a form).

We were given a brand-new camper, fully equipped with all the comforts and conveniences. The vehicle drove perfectly. The only minor downside: on Queensland’s not-so-great roads, quite a few things rattled inside the camper — especially the fridge door. Apparently, that’s a common issue with motorhomes, so I don’t hold it against Cruisin. The communication beforehand and the way we were able to pick up the camper after closing time were both excellent. I can only highly recommend Cruisin!

We had a lovely time up in far north queensland. The campervan was ideal for us. We had the same Sandpiper for a tour of tasmani back in December. Ideal for two people cruising around. Van is just ideal. Bed is fine. Cooker. Shower. Inside table. Outside table and chairs. I can highly recommend. Cruisin are a well run company. Booking, pickup and return was super smooth.

Ausventure Travel hat mir einen Sandpiper von Cruising nahegelegt und ich habe diesen gebucht. Im Vertrag sollte der Sandpiper nicht älter als 4 Jahre sein und mit einem funktionierenden GPS ausgestattet sein. Erhalten habe ich einen so alten Sandpiper, bei dem ich den GPS nicht gebrauchen konnten, weil "out of date" = mehr als 8 Jahre alt. Ich übernahm einen Sandpiper mit zwei groben Steinschlägen in der Frontscheibe. Auf Fahrerseite und auf Augenhöhe haben diese beim Fahren sehr gestört = Cruising hat hier die Fahrsicherheit grob verletzt! Zudem war ich einen halben Tag am fotografieren der Schäden innen und aussen. Ausventure Travel fand nur nette Ausreden für diesen Sandpiper, der nicht gemäss Vertrag gemietet war. Gehandelt hat Ausventure Travel nicht! Keinen Minderpreis, keine Entschuldigung, ich müsse selbst mit Cruising Motorhomes verhandeln. Jetzt verlangt Ausventure Travel noch Geld für ihr nicht handeln!

It has been a very good rentalperiod. Everything with The camper was nice, safe, clean and in working order. Our family will recommend using Cruising and we will use it again.

Had a very negative experience with Cairns Cruisin Motorhomes. They provided us with a vehicle that couldn’t even lock, stunk so much because they didn’t empty the greywater tank and was infested with ants that crawled all over our stuff all day. Fridge also didn’t work. We were told they have 24/7 customer service but we were trying to contact customer service for weeks to get support and a resolution and to this day haven’t heard anything back. We finally cut our trip short and returned to the centre for help where the technician came and said to us that yes the campervan was unlockable due to a broken locking system and fridge wasn’t working. But then he generated false documents in our file saying this was all due to ‘user error’. I wish we had paid attention to all the negative reviews posted about the company and not hired with them. On that same day they told us no one could help us because they didn’t have a manager (like at all) and they had a new one starting in a month. This company is just out there ripping people off and then ignoring customers attempts to get help. Cruisin Motor Homes was completely aware we were sleeping in a vehicle that couldn’t lock, amongst other things, and ignored us every time we tried to get help and has still failed to provide a resolution (the receptionist’s offer when we came to the depot seeking help was to leave the vehicle there and cut the trip short and the rest of the reservation would be “refunded”. I had to remind her this is not a refund, this is just an offer of early termination because your product is entirely faulty), which then leaves us stranded with no transport and having to pay for expensive accommodation elsewhere.

Book with another campervan company

Out of any hire car company that I have used in my life, Cruisin Motorhomes are the absolute worst. They offer 24/7 support however they would not respond to my calls or emails when my van could not lock from the inside, therefore not being able to lock it as I slept at night.
When I finally drove the van into the depot they told me they don’t bother checking if the keys worked before handover.

On top of that, the fridge was not running via battery or power. They advised us to run it off the gas. It’s actually extremely dangerous to drive with the gas on. Plus it takes several hours to cool once you turn it on. What’s the point of having a motorhome if you can only use the fridge when you’re not driving. We were driving every day.

They also didn’t drain the grey water tank before we picked it up. We were almost physically sick when we started driving and could smell the odor coming from the sink. If you hire a van with a sink or shower. They told us to just put detergent down the drain.

When we had took the vehicle back to the depot they verbally told us that the van had a faulty central locking system, the fridge didn’t work as intended and that the sinks plumbing doesn’t have an “s” bend (it means the air in the grey water tank can pass back through the waste pipe and into the cabin). Then they lied on the report they gave us as it stated that the issues were all due to “user error”

The staff are extremely rude, will mislead you at every stage of the process and will leave you stranded if you are seeking assistance. Stay away from this company at all costs.

Stay away from this company. shocking customer service. No help what so ever in fact they charged me more with an older vehicle no change of bedding no cleaning equipment. The staff in the offices jut put you on the phone to customer care as they don’t want to deal with face to face complaints. Manager was all helpful and talkative when picking up the motorhome but when it came to a complaint he hid in the back.

We hired motorhome for a month in late June 2024. The motorhome was excellent in all respects with 24 hour roadside assistance available. Cruisin were brilliant with communication pre hireage answering all my questions promptly. On picking up we were upgraded to a new van with shower, toilet, airconditioning, fans, tv. We loved the solar panels on roof which meant we could stay extra days without being plugged into electricity. Lots of plugs and USB ports. The van was equipped with all we could possibly need. Very comfortable to sleep in and plenty of room for storage as all the available space was utilised. We would recommend this company unreservedly. Thank you.

Nous avons loué un van en octobre et novembre 2023 pour 21 jours. Tout était impeccable, aucun soucis. Nous avons crevé, ils ont été très réactifs. Très sympathiques. Je les conseille vivement.
