Spoke to Igor who guided m through…

Spoke to Igor who guided m through installing a new user interface on a CTC Ecozenith i550 Pro. I couldn’t get rid of a couple of alerts so he guided me through the installation from the start to the finish. What was great was that he explained everything along the way which filled in the gaps in my knowledge. Credit to the company.

Fantastic service!

Once again, Igor responded very quickly to my message. He talked me through some test procedures on a video call and he pinpointed the fault, which was nothing to do with the heatpump, but with a component on the hot water cylinder which had been wrongly fitted by the original installer. All running perfectly again now.
Faultless service, I would highly recommend anyone wanting a heatpump to get a CTC one installed.

Superb technical support

We live in a remote, in Wales, off grid, and depend on PV panels/invertor-controller (Victron) generator, as an integrated system and a biomass boiler. The installation has a CTC EciZenith Pro thermal store connected to a biomass boiler (pellets) and a Rayburn lib burning range cooker with boiler. The CTC thermal store is apparently a market leader. It’s a very complex system, able to be connected to ground source or air source, heat pumps, swimming pools, etc. with a number of complicated parameters and settings, and the technical advisor, Igor, is always available very promptly and helpful in dealing with queries normally in a video call. This is rarely a quick operation, as they controls are extensive with multiple settings, but I’ve always been taken through them carefully with options carefully explored. In virtue every case over the years, we have found a solution.

The only aspect which is trying is that the manual is not in my opinion, sufficiently sit out in Laymans terms to diagnose and deal with operational problems, but with ego there we normally find a solution.

Fantastic service - problem fixed.

Had a problem with my heat pump, sent a video & info on the fault to Igor in technical. He responded immediately with advice & photos to help identify the fault. Sent out the required part next day, which my electrician fitted.
Then Igor helped via video call with the settings (at the weekend!). All good now.
Excellent service - Igor couldn’t have been more helpful.

New install today

New install today, called technical support for assistance with the wiring. Jake was brilliant and gave all the information I needed. Always available, very easy to deal with. Thank you for the help Jake, pleasure dealing with you. Highly recommend the system and your support.

Their technical support is brilliant .
Would highly recommend for advice.
Spoke with Jake Moody who was very helpful and knowledgeable.
He was happy to assist to sort an issue out.

Complaint Regarding Persistent Product Failures and Inadequate Support

In late 2018, two systems were installed in near-identical properties. These systems failed to function properly for the initial few months, requiring numerous visits from a CTC Technical Manager. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issues, including one incident where the manager fell from a ladder and caused further damage by pulling pipes down, the problems persisted.

Approximately six months after installation, the cooling module in House A failed and was replaced under the supervision of the CTC Technical Manager. Over the next four years, both systems consistently underperformed, resulting in cold homes during winters, an inability to fill a bath more than halfway, and repeated failures of sensors and heat plates.

In 2024, the cooling module in House B failed and required a two-month wait for replacement. A second cooling module was installed in September. Shortly thereafter, the cooling module in House A failed again and was replaced with a third module in November.

On Christmas Eve, the second cooling module in House B also failed. As of now, we are awaiting a response from CTC Sweden, as no replacements are reportedly available in the UK.

The repeated failures, prolonged delays in obtaining replacements, and inadequate performance of these systems are unacceptable and warrant immediate resolution.

We understand how frustrating this process has been, and we want to reassure you that we’ve done everything possible to resolve the issue while minimising the costs and inconvenience to you. The Extended Warranty originally covered 2 years labour and 5 years parts only, as per the original Extended Warranty document provided. Knowing this heat pump is out of warranty from a labour perspective, we wanted to assist you where possible by providing a comprehensive solution, rather than just replacing a single part. This has saved you over £1200 in engineer costs alone.

Furthermore, we’ve offered you the full resources of our Technical Department which has removed the need for independent installer/engineer site visits, a cost that would normally be passed to you, all at our own expense. We’ve also absorbed hotel costs, fuel, and covered distribution costs separately. While we were not legally required to do so, we have honoured the warranty on a product from a previous organisation and continued to support you.

We fully recognise the challenges this situation has presented, but we want you to know that our primary focus has always been to benefit you, the customer, and ensure you are supported through this difficult process.

Customer service

Recently had a CTC Ground Source Heat Pump installed. Needed help with some settings on the control system. A quick video call with one of the tech guys and it was all sorted. Very helpful and friendly to speak to.
