Two were another breed, and most recently we welcomed Moki, a beautiful Maine Coon boy, into our family. Through each adoption I’ve been able to see firsthand the extraordinary level of care, responsibility, and dedication Sara brings to her breeding program.

Long before a kitten is ever born, her kings and queens undergo extensive DNA screening for genetic conditions that Maine Coons can be predisposed to, including HCM and SMA. They also receive echocardiograms to evaluate heart health, along with hip and patella evaluations. In addition, they are tested and confirmed negative for FeLV and FIV, and the cattery is carefully monitored with ongoing PCR and fecal testing to maintain a healthy environment. It’s clear that Sara’s priority is producing healthy, well-balanced kittens and protecting the long-term health of the breed.
The care doesn’t stop there. Her kittens are raised in a loving home environment with daily interaction and socialization, which helps them develop into confident, affectionate, and well-adjusted companions. The time and attention she invests in them is evident in their personalities.

He was originally intended to be one of her future kings, but when he didn’t meet her very high standards for breeding, she made the responsible decision that he would be better suited as a cherished family companion. We are the lucky recipients of this handsome, goofy, incredibly loving boy, and we adore him.
