Purchased a 2019 Freightliner bucket truck with 36,*** miles. Transport company came to pick up the truck and found the check engine light was on. Waited 6 hours and then left after service turned the light off. 200 miles into a 550 mile trip the light came back on. Once in my possession I was tasked with finding a local dealer and dropping the truck back off where it was worked on again. After a week of waiting for approval we picked the truck back up and had it wrapped with our company logo. Check engine light came back on and again was tasked with dropping the vehicle back off at the local dealer. During transportation we also noticed the air conditioner was making a loud vibration noise which we immediately mentioned to Custom Truck. After waiting on authorization again the truck was found to have a bad turbo. Once again we waited on approval for funds and after a week the parts were ordered for the turbo but nothing for the air conditioner. After turbo was completed we asked again "what about the turbo?" We were told that since we didn't purchase a extended warranty that Custom Truck would NOT pay anymore for anything else. We have not driven this truck more than 50 miles since delivery and haven't used it once. Made two payments already for them to basically say "we are done" with fixing anything else. We will NEVER recommend or use this company ever again! Never once got a call from anyone in management....

Buyer beware. Nice folks.
However I would not recommend buying any of the chip trucks from them. Over 5 months of payments on a 88k dollar truck that would not dump properly.5- 6 trips to the shop and tons of lost business.

Field Service Tech Tim Bloodgood came out on Friday afternoon to trouble shoot a problem that was on the truck since delivery. Though it was a Friday afternoon and he was 3 to 4 hours from home he took his time and got the issue resolved. When he fixed the issue, it led to another issue found and he resolved it also. He took his time and explained the issues and resolutions. It was very good to see a service tech that takes his time and enjoys what he does.

even though it was a minor situation involving a small part, response was rapid and I was directed to the proper department to take care of the problem

Any time I call Angie she is always professional and courteous Angie keeps me updated with everything that is happening. Tim Bloodgood is a top notch mechanic and a wealth of knowledge, You can call Tim and explain what you have going on and he will talk you through the issue and if you can not figure it out he will be my than happy to come out and solve the issue. Tim is a very good communicator and a very nice guy.

Communication through email is very helpful and I was guided through to set up an account.

The sales side of the house is amazing! Daylon will treat you right every time and goes above an beyond!

Now the bad: The service side of CTOS is horrible!!! Expect to be overcharged, from the hourly rate that is higher than anywhere else in the area to charging extra hours on your units. When you ask them for a breakdown they give you the "that is for internal use only" response. The expect to be pat on the back for putting a customers units in the shop in front of their own rental fleet.

Save yourself time, money and a headache and use someone else for your service work.
