Scammers! You pay 0.5€ for cv, and later they take 30€ more every month!

The different quality templates, the ease to translate CV from one language to another and the assistance of the customer care . You guys are doing a great job

First it was great experience but after my payment they tried to use my money again even that I payed for only one time use.
Probably some little notice was written but subscrištion for one time payment is kind of robbery!!?

J'ai créé mon CV sur le site, j'ai payé 0.5 centimes pour récupérer une version modifiable. J'ai été ensuite prélevé sur ma CB pendant 6 mois de 29.9 sans l'avoir demandé et être avertit. Le 4/08 quand j'ai constaté les prélèvement, je me suis connecté au site et annulé l'abonnement. J'ai reçu un mails d'annulation mais j'ai encore été prélevé de 29.9 le 8/09. J'ai écrit mais il me demande toujours la même chose, la copie d'écran de mon achat de 6 mois en arrière que je ne peux pas retrouver.

My experience:

- I used CV Tools Pro once in late July 2024 to build a CV. I did not use it again because, frankly, I found it to be lacking for the depth I needed.

- I received no invoices and no renewal emails. My account showed no accessible invoices/receipts.

- I was billed ~$43.33 CAD/month from Aug 2024 → Jan 2025 (total $259.98 CAD) while the site showed $29.99 with no clear currency.

- When I finally spotted the charges, I cancelled the same day (Jan 21, 2025).

- Support refused a refund, repeatedly citing a 14-day auto-renew clause and linking to T&Cs, while ignoring the lack of invoices/notifications and my zero usage since July 2024.

- They then offered a “1-year free subscription.” I’m not looking for a retention perk; I’m seeking a refund for months I didn’t use—and didn’t even know were being billed.

- Their own checkout materials include “Satisfied or refunded within 30 days.” I couldn’t request anything within 30 days because I was never notified of ongoing charges and had no invoices to alert me!

Why this matters: Transparency isn’t a buried clause. It’s clear pricing, clear currency, ongoing billing notices, and accessible invoices. I experienced none of that here.

Advice to other consumers:

Screenshot everything (pricing, currency, “refund” language).

Check your bank statements—don’t rely on their billing portal (if you can even call it that).

If you see unexplained charges, cancel immediately and dispute through your bank.

Bottom line: In my experience, this was non-transparent billing followed by a no-refund script and a retention offer. I cannot recommend this service to anyone. Be smart, go somewhere else.

I signed up for the the one off membership and cancelled after having my Cv the same day you’ve taken nearly £30 out of my bank account with no authorisation you do not even recognise any of my email addresses to log in so what authorisation do you have in taking money out of my bank account scammers?

J’ai utilisé CV Toolspro en pensant que c'était un service gratuit. Ce n’était pas clairement indiqué que l’abonnement se renouvelait automatiquement à 40,70 fr par mois après la période d’essai. Aucune alerte, aucun rappel.
J’ai découvert après quelques mois qu’il débitait ma carte de crédit de ces montant tout les mois sans que j’accorde un quelconque contrat et me voila prise dans cette arnaque

Le site se présente comme un outil simple pour créer un CV avec l’IA, mais cache en réalité un abonnement piège.

Je déconseille fortement. Ce site est une arnaque bien déguisée.

I was able to download the resume properly.

But my credit card was compromised, in three days, they charged it with several purchases of around $15 with the code vcvtoolspro. Every charge was a different sum.
This service can't be trusted; don't put your credit card details there.

Payed a few euros for a new CV. Two months later they send me an invoice of 30 euro. Don't use their service.

Again this year, they are debiting my account without my authorization. Even after canceling the subscription. See below cancelation confirmation letter from them dated 2024/06/06.

I HAD AN ERROR WHILE CANCELLING MY SUBSCRIPTION. UNFORTUNATELY, I WASNT ABLE TO MAKE A SCREENSHOT IN MY LAPTOP. PREOCCUPIED WITH MY PERSONAL PROBLEMS INCLUDING FINDING ANOTHER JOB, I DIDNT REALIZED ITS ALREADY THE 14TH DAY OF TRIAL PERIOD. THEY NEVER SEND NOTIFICATIONS THAT 14DAY IS ALMOST OVER AND THEY CHARGE ME. I SENT THEM AN EMAIL EXPLAINING THE SITUATIONS BUT THEY WILL NOT CONSIDER IT. ITS A WASTE OF MONEY BECAUSE I DID
NOT EVEN USE MY CV, INSTEAD I END UP FINDING ANOTHER TEMPLATE. THE FONTSIDE CANNOT BE ADJUSTED. THEY HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NEVER USE CVTOOLS PRO EVER AGAIN!!!

Terrible Experience – Scam-like Practices and Poor Quality Service.

I strongly advise against using this CV tool/service.

Poor Resume Quality: The resume I received was generic and lacked the personalization or professional quality they promised. I did not see any improvement in responses or interview calls.

False Promises: They market themselves as a premium service but fail to deliver even basic quality. Everything they claim — improved visibility, better job matches, expert writers — is misleading.

Unauthorized Charges: They keep deducting money without any prior notification, authorization, or consent. There were no invoices, no receipts, and no transparency about these transactions.

No Customer Support: Trying to get help or clarification is a dead-end. In fact, they might promise to return back money, but even it does not happen.

Better Free Alternatives: Ironically, many free tools provide much better quality resumes and support than this paid service.

Avoid this service at all costs. It’s not only a waste of money, but the recurring deductions without consent make it feel predatory. Total lack of professionalism.

I cancelled the subscription but they still charged me 39 Francs. This is just a straight-up scam.
