D-Air: Disappointing
I received a D-Air 'sport jacket' (vest) as a very generous gift, in November 2019. It was purchased directly from Dainese.com. I was pleased with it until November 2020, at which point it refused to stay switched on. I have some experience in diagnosing faulty electronics, and am fairly sure it was a simple fault with either the battery or the (very minimal) wiring harness. I raised a warranty claim straight away on the Dainese support website. I had to chase Dainese technical support in Italy continually, until January, when they finally conceded that the vest was faulty and asked me to return it to the Dainese store in London. They wanted to send UPS to my house to collect, which was not convenient, and it was a hassle trying to get labels for a UPS drop-off instead. Dainese received the vest next-day, and immediately confirmed the fault, however it took them until May 2021 to decide to issue a refund. In the 6 months it took to sort this out, it became clear that despite their individual support staff being helpful (thank you Marta and Margerita), the company's processes are a mess, and they do not have anyone who understands or is capable of repairing the D-Air products. I must have spent 3 hours or so on the phone to them during this time, and I had to prompt them continually to deal with my case. I spoke to one of their dealers about my experience, and they didn't seem surprised in the slightest. When my case was going nowhere, I contacted several senior UK Dainese employees by email, and did not receive any replies. First and final Dainese product for me - hands-down the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Monatelange Bearbeitungsdauer
Auch ich habe meine Bestellung am 18.6. im Shop zurück gegeben und bis heute noch kein Geld zurück erstattet bekommen.
Dürfte im Digitalzeitalter eigentlich nicht Monatelang dauern.
Selbst ein Stern ist zu hoch bewertet
Einmal und nie wieder. Eine Airbagjacke für knapp 1000€ bestellt. Jacke nie erhalten. Nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen hat die Stornierung der Bestellung letztendlich geklappt. Auf mein Geld warte ich immernoch. Selbst ein Stern-Bewertung ist hier zu viel.
Update vom15.07.21:
Habe mein Geld nach über 2 Wochen nach Stornierung zurückerstattet bekommen. Als Entschädigung für die Unannehmlichkeiten sogar noch einen 50% Gutschein für den Online-Store erhalten.

Achat d'une paire de gant après 4 ans d'utilisation (moins de 20 000km), un petit trou sur l'index s'est ouvert sur 1cm.
Après contact du service client, on m'a dit qu'il était inutile de les réparer en me disant d'en racheter sur dainese.com.
ils se déchargent de toute responsabilité, en disant que c'est la pluie, la sueur, et mon entretien qui a fait défaut.
Bref, il me manquait l'airbag, il est bien évident qu'ils n'auront pas mes euros pour leurs produit made in vietnam.

Be careful with Dainese DAir products, they almost caused an accident. The brand does not want to assume any responsibility.
I’ve got a DAir smart jacket. I was using the jacket with updated firmware version. According to their user manual, the airbag can’t trigger if you travel at less than 10Km/h AND you are not riding the bike.
In my case, I was neither, moving at 10 km/h nor riding the bike. Actually, I was stepping out my bike, just storing the helmet at the vault when suddenly the airbag popped. The airbag triggered in an specific situation the manual says it must not do it.
As I was basically “doing nothing” when the airbag was triggered, this worried me a lot, because it can also trigger when you are riding and cause an accident. When the airbag pops, it’s a really abrupt move, so it can easily make you fall from the bike.
I contacted Dainese Spain and I was expecting, not only to repair my DAir Smart Jacket for free (it was in guarantee and obviously the product did not function correctly), but also to download the data from the jacket to understand what went wrong. They told me that it was my responsibility, that I needed to pay 250€ (half of the cost of the product) to reequip the airbag, and they where not interested at all in getting data or understanding what when wrong to patch their product.
I’ve got two DAir jackets, I decided to sell the one which is still working and I will not repair the faulty one because I really can’t trust it. I will look for another solution. Alpinestars and Ixon has also good alternatives.

Terrible in many ways
Terrible in many ways, I should have learned after the first time. I bought a pair of pants, it took a long time to arrive (from Italy) and returned it at my cost (wrong size, my fault!). But I decided to order two more over a week ago, no shipping confirmation, it still shows as "in process" but I was charged immediately, impossible to speak with anyone, and no news of my order. I am European, so I can say that I am afraid that is the way Italy works.

Kauft lieber von einer anderen Marke ! Noch nie so einen schlechten Kundenservice erlebt.

habe beides wieder nach Bologna zurückgesendet.
Das Rücksendelabel war schwer zu erhalten da muss man sich echt kümmern. Das Geld habe ich heute nach 2 Wochen immer noch nicht zurück. Telefonnummer gibts leider auch nicht.
Ehrlich, das kann Louis besser.

I'm a documentary producer working on a high-speed large-format motorcycle movie and would like to know if anyone's had false deployment sensor problems with D-Air Race jackets? I'm working on 2nd unit photography and discovered my D-Air jacket thinks it's been deployed...it hasn't and now it must be sent back and won't be returned for at least a month. Is this really how Dainese treats its customer's mandatory safety gear issues? San Fransisco's Dainese store was useless, despite wasting three-hours of my time. Unreliable, unprofessional and useless is the way I'd sum up D-Air and Dainese. Hope we can return the favor with our film. Purchased 10k in gear for our crew. Never again.

De très bon produit. Livraison gratuite et ultra rapide. Retour gratuit et remboursement rapide. Les tailles sont justes, donc si vous prenez bien vos mesures vous ne devriez pas avoir de soucis de taille. L'un des meilleurs site de vente d'articles de moto que je connaisse...
Et ils ont de très grandes tailles (je mesure 1.92 pour 116 Kg, veste 58, pantalon 60, si ça peut aider...)

Pedido sin existencias, cancelado al cabo de varios días
He realizado un pedido, me lo confirman, y al cabo de 5 días me lo anulan y devuelven el dinero.
Son cebos que cuelgan para darse a conocer y sin existencias. Retienen tu dinero un tiempo, y si además has pedido algo más, eso sí te lo facturan.
I order, they confirm it, and after 5 days they cancel it and refund the money.
They hang "baits" out of stock to be known. They keep your money for a while, and if you have also asked for something else, they will bill you for that.
Faulty smart jacket airbag from Dainese
Purchased smart jacket airbag two months ago. The jacket turned out faulty, sometimes during a ride the jacket would go into Alarm mode, user interface LED is flashing red and vibrating, which is per user's manual is a sign of malfunction, leaving me basically unprotected. Trying to get assistance from customer service for two months with no success, sending them videos of the issue and all the details. Zero assistance so far. Most of my emails are simply ignored. What a shame, Dainese! Selling faulty life saving equipment from your own store and failing to assist a customer!
Worst e-commerce service ever
I followed the size instructions according to the dimensions of my foot, but the shoes received are not even close to the right size (also one shoe indicates the number 41 and the other indicates 42 on the back).
I contacted customer service to find out the correct size, but there has been no response for at least 10 days. In addition, they say that when returning items, we can choose the new size, but there is no place to write that.
I decided to return the shoes and paid 60 euros to the national postal company to return the original box to Italy.
In the end, I don't have the shoes, I don't have the money for the shoes and I feel like I put 60 euros in the trash.
Einfach nur schlecht
Einfach nur schlecht. Kundenservice antwortet nicht habe eine Retour angemeldet seit 2 Wochen keine Antwort.. Kundenservice ist nur über das Kontakt Formular erreichbar es gibt nicht mal eine Telefonnummer.. toll nun habe ich war im wert von knapp 3 Tausend euro und bekomme keinen Retourenlabel..... das 1 und letzte mal das ich dort bestelle. dann bestelle ich lieber wieder bei Louis online.
