Poor Quality Control inspection of outgoing shipments, but did respond promptly to replace the defective shirt.
It was slow shipping to receive the Fair Play riding competition shirt from them that I ordered from them, so I suspect that they are actually outside of the USA. My biggest issue is that I barely received the shirt in time for my planned competition, and when I took it out of the packaging, two of the buttons immediately fell off of the collar! That tells me that they have poor quality control of outgoing shipments. Luckily, I had a backup riding shirt with me or that wouldâve been problematic. I just emailed the company to ask for some kind of resolution, so I canât comment yet on their customer service. But I am dismayed that their quality inspection process (or lack thereof) did not catch 2 loose buttons on the shirt. Just a warning then if you buy something from Dapper Horse, donât take it out of the packaging last minute just before you need to use it. Take it out long in advance, in case there are defects.
Update: Dapper Horse did contact me within 12 hours of my email to them and is offering to send a replacement shirt with a return label for the defective one. If that all happens in a timely manner and with reliability, then I will update my review from 1 star to 3 stars due to responsive customer service.
Update #2: The dapper horse did send me a replacement shirt with a return shipping label, so I am changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars because of their responsive customer service. But Iâm not giving them 5 stars, because I shouldnât be receiving a brand new product and have the buttons fall off straight out of the bag. In fact, even on the replacement shirt, the buttons appear weakly sewn on by just a couple thin threads. I think itâs an inferior quality from the Fair Play brand of riding shirt. I should also note that the Fair Play brand shirts run a size small. It definitely fits 1 size smaller than listed.
