Most durable GI I ever had! I use it for training and competition, always feels great. I really recommend!

I recently bought a gi from Daruma and I couldn't be happier with the quality. The fabric is incredibly comfortable, fits really well, and you can tell it's designed for people who train regularly.
One thing that really impressed me is how easy it is to keep it looking great. Even after multiple training sessions and washes, it stays bright white and doesn't retain bad odors, which makes a huge difference.
The overall build quality is excellent and it feels like a gi that's made to last. I highly recommend Daruma to anyone looking for a comfortable, durable, and high-quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi.

I might be a little biased because I also work on Daruma's creative side, but first and foremost I'm a customer and someone who trains in their gis every week. That's the perspective I want to share.

From the very first touch, you can immediately feel the difference. The fabric is incredibly soft while still feeling exceptionally strong and durable. It's one of those products where the quality is obvious before you even step onto the mats.

What impressed me the most, though, is the hemp fabric. After training in a hemp gi, it's hard to go back to anything else. The odor resistance is simply outstanding. Even after intense training sessions, it stays noticeably fresher than traditional gis. Anyone who trains several times a week will immediately appreciate the difference.

Durability is another area where Daruma truly stands out. The gis hold their shape, comfort, and premium feel even after countless washes and regular use. They are clearly built to last.

For me, a gi is no longer just training gear. It's an investment in comfort, performance, and longevity. If you're looking for a premium gi that genuinely delivers on quality, I can confidently recommend Daruma.

Bought the bamboo Gi, best Gi I ever owned… I love it, def premium product, Super nice and efficient customer service too.

WARNING: Do not purchase anything from this company if you live outside of the EU (Europe Union)! They will not do any exchanges or refunds for customers outside of the EU, no exceptions.

According to their sizing guide, I was between sizes, so I gave them my exact height and weight and asked them which size they recommend. They told me to definitely size down, which turned out to be incorrect, and as a result the item (a rashguard) I purchased was much too small. It was so undersized that it was even too small for one of the women at my BJJ gym whom I offered it to (and she is smaller than I am).

I contacted Daruma and explained to them that it's much too small and thus I can't even use it, and I even offered to pay for shipping both ways for an exchange, but they refused. They even stubbornly insisted that their sizing advice was correct!

So, with shipping and import duty fees, I paid $120 for a rashguard that I can't wear and is thus going in the trash. Bottom line: Don't waste your money like I did. Never purchase anything from this store if you don't live in the EU.

Also, the reviews on their website are bullsh*t. They delete negative reviews and replace them with fake ones. I left a review and they deleted it the same day and replaced it with an obviously fake one that just said "Perfect". I'm sure they're not the only company that does this, but still, it just shows they're not an honest company.

UPDATE: Daruma's reply is so disingenuous that it absolutely necessitates a response. Below I've broken up their reply into parts so I could respond directly to each one.

Daruma replied: "Sizing across body types can vary, and a recommendation that doesn't fit perfectly isn't evidence of bad faith on our part."

My response: As I clearly explained, the item wasn't merely just not a perfect fit. Again, it was so undersized that it was practically unwearable. As I explained, I offered it to the smallest person (a woman who is smaller than me) at my jiu jitsu school and she tried it on and said it was too small even for her. So either Daruma's sizing advice is very inaccurate or their manufacturer has poor quality control and the item they sent me was accidentally made much smaller than it was supposed to be.

Daruma replied: "On returns: as stated clearly in our shipping and returns policy at checkout, orders shipped outside the EU are final sale."

My response: I never said this wasn't stated clearly in their shipping and returns policy. The purpose of my review was to warn other people who might not read the shipping and returns policy before ordering. Not everyone reads those because most people just assume they can return or exchange things they purchase, because the overwhelming majority of companies do allow it and don't have strict exceptions like Daruma does. In fact, Daruma is the first company I have personally ever come across that has total restrictions on returns/exchanges based on where the customer lives.

Daruma replied: "We have never deleted a legitimate customer review or replaced it with a fake one. We're happy to have Trustpilot or any neutral third party review our account history to confirm this."

My response: That's a complete lie and they know it. They deleted my review—which was a legitimate customer review—the same day I posted it. If they deleted my review just because they didn't like it, then of course it's safe to assume they delete other customers' reviews they don't like, also. If Trustpilot is able to keep track of reviews that are posted and deleted on Daruma's own website, then they will be able to confirm that Daruma did in fact delete my review.

Das ist gefühlt mein zwanzigster Gi und mit Sicherheit auch einer der hochpreisigeren, nach nunmehr 30mal voll schwitzen und waschen muss ich sagen das ich zu 100% zufrieden bin.
Er hält wirklich was versprochen wird.
Definitiv ist er den Preis wert. Alles super 👍
