DataTutors is a UK-based online A-Level Maths tutoring service specialising in personalised A-Level Maths tuition for Year 12 and Year 13 students. We provide one-to-one online Maths tutoring for students studying Edexcel A-Level Maths, helping students improve their mathematical understanding, confidence, exam technique and grades through a structured, data-driven approach. Unlike traditional tutoring that can rely heavily on lessons and generalised feedback, DataTutors combines personalised teaching with a dedicated student progress and performance tracking system. Every student's progress can be monitored across individual topics, assessments and areas of the A-Level Maths specification, allowing us to identify strengths, weaknesses, recurring errors and areas requiring further attention. Diagnostic assessments provide an initial picture of a student's current performance, while ongoing assessments and topic-level metrics allow progress to be measured over time. This means tutoring can be adapted according to evidence rather than guesswork, with students receiving targeted support based on their actual performance. Our approach includes personalised revision plans, targeted homework, topic-specific practice questions, detailed feedback, exam preparation and regular progress reviews. Students can track their development across Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics, with performance data helping to highlight priority topics and guide future revision. Our A-Level Maths tutors specialise primarily in the Edexcel specification, supporting students who may be struggling with particular topics as well as those aiming to move towards the highest grades. We also develop our own challenging A-Level Maths test papers and practice materials designed to test deeper understanding and prepare students for questions that require more than straightforward application of a method. DataTutors was founded by an Imperial College London medical student with over 400 hours of tutoring experience and personal experience of improving from an D to an A in A-Level Maths. This experience shaped our belief that effective tutoring should be systematic, personalised and measurable. Rather than simply asking whether a student feels that they are improving, our approach aims to provide a clearer picture through assessment results, topic performance, progress trends and targeted goals.
