Professional and knowledge service

We are a small registered charity named Torbay Bikers for Kids, Reg. No. 1200973, which provides essential items for local children who are disabled or severely ill. David Marketing Specialist contacted us at the end of 2024 and asked if they could provide a free website for the charity to generate more donations for it. We agreed. However, in the 17 months DMS had the website live, they did not forward any emails received by the website to us despite asking several times for them. Only after the charity sent a cease & desist letter to DMS demanding the website be removed and all emails sent to us, and informing the owner we had reported the matter to the police, did he take the website down and send us 18 emails, which he claims were all that were sent to the website in the 17-month period it was live. These were mostly from local families who were requesting help from the charity for their disabled children. The owner told us that this website would generate much-needed funds for the charity. It did not bring in one single penny. The trustees were never happy with the website; it looked amateurish at best, but we thought, Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. The website has now been taken down, and the charity has just paid over £500 to Wix.com for a website that we can build and manage ourselves. That money could have been used to purchase two laptops for non-verbal children. As for getting any donations offered to the charity via the website, your guess is as good as mine.
