Play with other women who I didn’t know, I had no partner at beginning

The Desa ladies group has been a wonderful outlet for me to meet new people and make friends. It has been a safe space to participate in a range of activities. I have especially enjoyed the focus on health and fitness presented in a fun way- using feedback from all members.
The organisers are positive and welcoming explaining things very clearly. I would recommend this group to all ladies as it is very engaging and enjoyable.

DESA Ladies Social Group is a fantastic group that offers a range of social, creative, and physical activities. The group has had a very positive impact on my mental health and wellbeing, helping me build confidence, make connections, and enjoy new experiences. I have benefited greatly from being part of it and would highly recommend it to other women looking for friendship, support, and fun activities.

I'd also like to add that the facilitators and organisers are very kind and welcoming. They take on board suggestions for activities, whether physical, creative, or self-care based, and do their best to accommodate everyone's needs and interests.

Desa women’s social group is friendly, welcoming members and well-organised events. I’ve made some wonderful friends and always enjoy the activities. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with like-minded women in a supportive environment.

What a fab session of padel with an amazing group organised by desa. It was great to see how well organised the session was. I felt really comfortable even though it was my first session! Looking forward to going back. Thank you for organising ! X

I had a great time at the women’s padel session. The Desa team were excellent, and the Uno Paddle staff were very welcoming. Thank you for such an enjoyable session; I’d love to see these run every week.

I’ve had a really positive experience with DESA, especially when it comes to their sports programmes. The range of activities on offer is impressive, and there’s something for everyone regardless of ability or experience level.
What stood out most to me is how well the sessions are run. The coaches are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They create an environment that’s both fun and structured, which makes it easy to stay motivated and keep improving.

Both of my sons love attending DESA sessions and are well looked after by the coaches. We feel very lucky to have such an organisation on our door step which we can easily access. The fun activities arranged by the brothers take time, effort and ample resources which is immensely appreciated and hope they will be rewarded for it one day.

You can’t be disappointed with DESA! They offer a wide range of activities, mainly football, always delivered to bring a smile to your child’s face. Their approach is very inclusive and well safeguarded. They support children’s behaviour in a professional way and communicate with parents in a very transparent manner. DESA also has access to excellent venues, conveniently located around Darnall.

My boys really enjoyed the summer holiday activities, which ended with an awesome paintball session. It was a great experience with lots of fun! Well done, DESA, and thank you.

My son has been with DESA for a couple of years doing a variety of sports, mainly football. He loves going and has been well looked after by Kamran and Abdul Malik and the team. They organise many activities during holidays which is great for my son. My son has grown in confidence and has made a lot of friends since joing DESA. I would definitely recommend to any parent. Keep the good work up, DESA!

Amazing group of individuals trying their best for our youth and community. Variety of activities to engage different age groups and I like the effort they put in to meet the needs of boys and girls. I hope they keep the good work and I look forward to seeing them flourish more.

My son Zayyan has been attending the DESA Bright Minds SATS booster sessions that Eesaa has been providing over the last couple of months. These sessions have really helped Zayyan alot and Eesaa has been a brilliant tutor, his teaching methods were tailored to each child's individual needs within the group. Eesaa's personable approach to teaching resonated with the children so much that they willingly asked for more sessions! Thank you DESA and Eesaa!

We have been part of DESA since it was formed.It's a great initiative run by individuals who are invested in bringing out the best in our youth. We try and attend when we can and my son Abu-Bakr has always enjoyed partaking in the activities. There are always so many varied sessions that take place which we are lucky to have access too. Carry on the great work

My son Ayaan has been attending the Sats sessions over the last 6 week, he has thoroughly enjoyed it an very happy with Eesa, has makes such a good effort with th kids that Ayaan wanted to attend the session, hopefully looking forward to seeing you fr future tuition sessions

DESA has a great team management, their staff is friendly and helpful towards the children that attend. The children always come out with new things which they have learned, from math's, to physical sports. Would recommend DESA to any parent who's kids are at home. They will learn a lot at DESA and they will be socializing with a lot of other children from their age too.

DESA provides many opportunities for the youth such as sporting activities etc, allowing for them to excel and build relationships with fellow children of the community.

DESA has been such an amazing organisation; organising events for all children to participate in and enjoy regardless of background.

My boys love attending the free rugby sessions on a Friday evening and also the ice skating sessions provided at a reduced price! They were so excited to attend the boxing World boxing championships; if it wasn't for DESA they would never have had the opportunity.

I have been recommending DESA to all of my family and friends and would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the organisers! Thank you!
