We make fancy pyjamas. But proper ones, you know? Hand-painted prints. Fine cotton. A tuxedo of leisure, if you will. A uniform to celebrate life at home.
They’re the sort of thing that can make everyday pursuits feel a little bit deluxe. We believe that proper pyjamas are to leisure what butter is to toast, a way of turning something quite ordinary into something quite magical.
It all started with women’s pyjamas. Now we make them for men and kids too, plus a handful of other snazzy things for around the home, like slippers, socks, and extra-deluxe robes.
Each collection brings with its prints. Each print is an artwork in its own right, inspired by travel and by life— Spanish palm, Greek myths, graceful tigers—hand-painted in our London studio. They’re printed onto organic cotton, hand-cut and sewn in Portugal. We then wrap them
It’s a product we’re proud of. Really proud of! Fancy pyjamas for unfancy things. A celebration of life at home.

Pyjamas
I purchased some pyjamas last week - I have been trying to sort out an issue with the pyjamas shrinking and the sizing just very odd - I cannot get any response. Phone number not answered and no response from email.
The pyjamas are terrible quality - and I need a refund or exchange - I have sent photos - I would appreciate a response -

I have multiple D&D sets
I have multiple D&D sets. I love the brand and have been wearing them for years. Don’t let their website fool you tho - they are still a very small company! Mina in customer service is so sweet but she’s a one woman show….correspondence is often slow and there are occasional hiccups with orders which take a bit to resolve.

I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase
I am absolutely thrilled with my new Desmond & Dempsey pyjama set! I managed to snag them during a sale, so I was already incredibly happy about getting such a great price on a luxury item.
But what completely blew me away was the packaging. Usually, when you buy something on sale, brands skimp on the presentation. Not Desmond & Dempsey! My order arrived beautifully packed in their signature, stunning leopard-print gift box, wrapped in cotton material.
Opening it felt like an absolute event. As for the pyjamas themselves—they are pure perfection. The quality of the cotton is exquisite and they feel like a total dream to wear.
They strike the perfect balance between cozy comfort and effortless elegance.
Desmond & Dempsey truly understands how to treat their customers right. To maintain this level of top-tier, luxury service even for sale items is rare. I couldn't recommend them more!

The voucher don’t lie. Oh, wait a minute…
I got the 15% off voucher which gave the impression that it was broad in application but it didn’t cover the PJs that I ordered for my wife.

I have been very impressed with D&D’s…
I have been very impressed with D&D’s product quality and service overall since the very first order. We first purchased my husband a pair of pajama pants. The cotton is lovely and soft. The prints are really fun. We’ve since purchased him two further pairs and I also got myself a night slip.
When I purchased another night slip in the same cut and size in the archival sale that fit quite differently, the return process was simple and straightforward. We are huge fans.

You’re not paying for quality or fabric - just the marketing budget, beware
I ordered my pajamas about a month ago, a long leopard print nightgown. Wonderfully soft. Im a size 8 so ordered a small for comfort. Initially too big in the bust despite being on smallest straps so figured I’d need to get my needle and thread to adjust for myself. Un/Fortunately my husband did the laundry and washed my gown with regular laundry rather than delicates so it shrunk a bit resolving my alteration issue positively.
However I’m writing now having worn and washed the PJs multiple times in a month and am sad to report that I wish I hadn’t spent £100 on these PJs. It’s embarrassing I spent that much. They’ve torn once at the seam while rolling over in bed and once on the fabric when I’ve stood up. So lovely soft but VERY thin pajamas. Definitely don’t know what the £100 is for as it’s not fabric or craftsmanship so that just leaves design and marketing. I’m summary they won’t last if you actually try and sleep or move about at home in them.

Hi Wyne,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re really sorry to hear that your nightgown has not held up as you expected, particularly after such a short period of time.
We’re pleased to hear that you initially loved the softness and feel of the fabric, but we’re naturally disappointed to hear about the tears you’ve experienced. This certainly isn’t the experience we want for our customers, and we’d like to look into this further to understand what may have happened.
Please can you reach out to us on Customercare@desmondanddempsey.com with order number and pictures of the tear so we can gather a little more information and see how we can best assist.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, feedback like this is important to us and helps us ensure we continue to improve both our products and customer experience.
Kind regards,
Team D&D
