We engaged this CPA firm to conduct our financial audit and were very pleased with the experience. Their team was professional, efficient, and detail-oriented from start to finish.
Communication was clear and timely throughout the process. As a result, the audit was completed ahead of schedule.
Overall, a dependable and knowledgeable CPA firm that we would confidently recommend for financial audit services.

They just ignored my tax return and did not file in time. No communication beyond standard template emails. I had to file my own taxes late night on the 15th despite paying >$1k and submitting all docs a full month before. Avoid.

Super organized, highly efficient tax preparation and advisory service. Have worked with them the last few years and have been highly pleased with their quality. Also have confidence they will stand by their work in any interactions with tax agencies.

STAY AWAY -- Disorganized, careless, and zero accountability
Be very careful with this firm. It operates like a high-volume churn machine--aggressively markets to bring clients in, then delivers poor, error-prone service once you've paid.
I started using them during the pandemic (2021 tax year). At first, the experience was mediocre but tolerable--some mistakes and glitches, but nothing catastrophic. Unfortunately, I stayed with them, and each year the quality declined. By the 2025 tax return, the service had become completely unacceptable.
Their team relies almost entirely on email, yet they seem incapable of tracking or retaining basic client information. I had to provide the same details repeatedly because the CPA handling our return could not keep track of prior communications. There is no sense of continuity or ownership.
The most concerning issue: they filed an extension without sharing estimated calculations for review, and in doing so, failed to include estimated tax payments we had already made. This resulted in a significantly inflated tax liability on the extension filing.
It then took two weeks of back-and-forth and three separate drafts for them to even understand and correct the issue. At no point did they demonstrate a firm grasp of the situation. I now have legitimate concerns about the accuracy of the final return and potential audit risk.
When I raised these issues, the CPA was defensive and unwilling to take responsibility--even for basic oversights that should never happen at a professional firm.
To make matters worse, due to their incorrect state extension filing, Massachusetts withdrew duplicate tax payments directly from our checking account. Even after I provided clear documentation showing this was caused by their error, they deflected responsibility and implied it was our fault. There was no apology and no effort to make things right.
Overall, this experience reflects a lack of organization, quality control, and professional accountability. I would strongly recommend avoiding this firm if you value accuracy, communication, and basic competence in handling your taxes.

I had a very poor experience with Dimov Tax and would strongly caution others before engaging them.

I provided all of my tax documents by late February and was told my return was in the “final stages” and under senior review. Over the following weeks, I repeatedly followed up and was consistently reassured that things were progressing and nearing completion.

Then, just days before the filing deadline, I was informed that my return would not be completed in time and that they intended to file an extension—despite my having clearly stated earlier that I did not want to file an extension and needed the return completed on time to plan for a significant tax payment.

After escalating the issue, I was told someone would call me, which never happened. Only after I terminated the engagement did they attempt to connect me with yet another person to “review” the situation, which at that point was far too late.

This experience reflects a lack of transparency, poor communication, and failure to deliver services within the agreed timeframe. As of now, I am still waiting for a full refund of the fees I paid.

Overall, extremely disappointing and stressful experience, especially given the importance and time sensitivity of tax filing.

Do not trust this firm with your tax matters. I paid in full, provided all data weeks early, and received NOTHING but a liability.

The Facts:

ZERO Work Delivered: I never received a single draft. Not one page.

Unauthorized Actions: I explicitly forbade a tax extension in writing. They acknowledged my request, then filed the extension anyway against my express directive and will.

Dangerous Inaccuracy: On the day of the deadline, they sent a "placeholder" payment estimate. It was $10K lower than my actual liability.

Gross Negligence: They clearly never opened my files. Following their "expert" advice would have resulted in massive IRS penalties and interest.

Don’t be fooled by the generic 5-star ratings; many appear manufactured. Look at the patterns of abandonment in the low-star reviews.

A CPA firm that ignores legal instructions and guesses your numbers is not a service—it’s a risk. I am currently recovering my fees through a bank dispute. You have been warned.

Ghost preparer. They charge fee ASAP and ghost you until the tax filing deadline on April 15th has passed. They claim they have filed an extension for you that was accepted on April 13th, but do not send the proof, and the IRS website indicates the extension was never filed. They come back with a wrong tax filing, with an hyperinflated and impossible tax refund. These are all red flags for predatory behavior and ghost tax preparer behavior. Do not pay any fees until they have sent you a draft for review and the filing is correct ! Do not sign the report if they do not sign and provide their PTIN. This company is or is used by scammers! Check on IRS website if they are certified CPAs before using their service.

I had a great experience working with this company. Each person was very quick to respond and provided through information. They were powerful and answered any questions that I had throughout the process. Highly recommended.

I was not satisfied with the expertise or service of my previous tax preparer. Luckily, I found Dimov. What a difference! They saved me thousands of dollars.

We hired this firm for a complex cross-border tax matter involving BFS income, investment income, foreign tax credits and FBAR reporting- this was clearly not a standard return and was charged accordingly. After taking payment, they told us they would get to work right away, but throughout the process the communication was poor, our emails were not meaningfully acknowledged, and the most serious issue was their continued estimate that we owed no income taxes when in fact we owed a substantial amount. We repeatedly raised concerns that tax would likely be owing and later directly asked how they had concluded otherwise and whether they would take responsibility if that estimate was wrong, yet we still did not receive a substantive response. We ended up completing the tax work ourselves and confirmed that their estimate was seriously wrong. For a high-stakes, deadline-sensitive tax matter, that level of incompetence and lack of accountability is completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this firm for any timely or accurate tax work.

I reached out for a consultation for my taxes, paid 360 for the consultation - they showed up unprepared and didn't answer the questions I had. They then ignored my emails after that, then refused to provide a refund.

Dimov is thorough, professional and effective—easy to work with, and they deliver the best possible results. Definitely recommended!

George Dimov Tax Specialists & CPA's continue to exceed my expectations. I have used their tax services the last four years. They're very thorough, responsive, and answer all my questions in a timely manner. I am always impressed by their ability to find areas to save me money whether it's a deduction I missed or consideration for depreciation of home repairs rather than using the standard deduction. They're very polite, knowledgeable, responsive, courteous, and timely. They are also very good at explaining something I didn't understand. My tax returns are always very involved and included a great deal of information and data to process. Based on their skill and experience; each form and eligibility for cost savings were considered. I will continue to use GD for filing my tax returns in the future.

I have partnered with Dimov for several tax seasons that included complex situations including stock sales, moving, buying a house, itemizing, donations, and solar tax credits. Dimov is easy to work with, proactive, clear, and moves quickly to get returns filed promptly. The experience has fallen off a cliff this year.
Multiple update requests without any answer, just a very disgusting experience this year.
Now, the tax deadline is nearing and they just keep ignoring my mails.

I've had a great experience working with Dimov Tax for several years in a row now. They are prompt, professional, thoroughly attentive to detail, and very reasonably priced. Their process is easy and straightforward. I can easily rate them 6-stars and highly recommend them!

I'd give them zero stars but there is no such rating.

PROBLEM 1: I signed up with this firm and discussed three business entities. I get a vague engagement letter with a price, sign and return to the firm. After starting to work with this firm they want to charge me more b/c their engagement letter does not reflect what we discussed on the phone.
PROBLEM 2: Everything is done by email. So if one of the accountants has a question they email the question which is vague and non-descriptive to a customer with very little accounting and tax knowledge. I know they are using email to document all communication but it is slow and information in the email can be lacking.
