Our experience with the Dokan Vendor plugin has been nothing short of a disaster. The plugin is incredibly buggy and unstable — it completely messed up our website, causing layout issues, conflicts with other plugins, and random functionality failures. Every “fix” seemed to create two new problems.

What’s even more frustrating is the support. It’s practically useless. Responses are slow, vague, and clearly copy-pasted, with little to no real understanding of the issues. We wasted countless hours going back and forth without any meaningful resolution.

For a paid plugin, this level of quality is unacceptable. It feels unfinished, poorly tested, and nowhere near production-ready. Instead of helping us grow our marketplace, it cost us time, money, and credibility.

Avoid this plugin unless you want to spend more time fixing problems than running your business.

Terrible Support.
You don't have enough flexibility in setting the commission rates.
When you have an issue with something, which could happen so often, you get bad support that don't read the tickets carefully.

The plugin works okay, but there are some worrying practices behind it.
A quick look at the Trustpilot page shows a pattern of clearly artificial reviews, which makes it hard to trust the company. Make sure you read the lower-rated reviews, they tell a very different story.

I was close to buying the Pro version, but I’m glad I reconsidered.
I prefer not to support a company that appears to use misleading tactics to boost its reputation

Whether you're completely new to coding or just looking for an easier way to get things done, Dokan truly makes the process smooth and stress-free. Their support team goes above and beyond, and it shows. Highly recommended!

I know TrustPilot account has only 1 review, but I’ve created it only to write this one.

I was hired as a developer for a project, and I chose to work with Dokan. At first I was sceptic, but now I am glad I took this decision.

If you don’t want to write the code yourself, Dokan might be the best alternative to create an online marketplace.

What impressed me the most was the customer support. It is excellent! Quick responses, and straight to the point.

Even though I am a web designer & developer, I haven’t worked with Dokan before, and consequently I had a lot of questions, but they answered every single one.

They helped me the most with the Stripe Connect payment gateway, which is also maybe the most important part of the website.

From my own experience, I recommend Dokan.

I need a support about backend demo and i leave my phone number. After few hours a great support member Eshfat called me back and gave me detailed information. Then follow me up. I'm still can't decide to buy pro but saw that as if i bought it they have great support. I need to try it more now.

They helped me with two problems. Before buying, I wanted to make sure we'd be able to translate our webpage correctly. They sent really helpful links and answered all my questions. A few days later when I was ready to purchase, the price of the plan I wanted had suddenly gone up by over $200. I sent them a message, and without hesitation they gave me a 20% discount code (which actually made the plan slightly cheaper than the original price I planned to pay in the first place).

I think a lot of companies would have just said "sorry, prices have changed and that's the cost now" but the person I spoke to immediately checked with their manager and offered me the discount code. I really appreciated that.

In regards to the actual plugin, our developers say they have used it before and they like how it works (which is why we're using it), but I'll be sure to update my review if for some reason the plugin itself ends up being awful. In regards to their customer service, I am very happy with Eshfatul and Richard (the two people who helped me).

I got stuck with an issue of PayPal not accepting vendors in Israel and Helena answered me right away and provided really helpful ideas to solve my problem.

Outstanding response time. Answered my questions in an instant. Cheers!

Paid for their PRO plugin.
Do NOT like the fact that third-parties like Wordfence and others before the author of this plugin tell people their plugin was creating exploitive attacks.

This is not the first time.
You LITERALLY have ONE job to make a plugin and it works that doesn't have a security holes.

ONE JOB.

I cannot endorse the AMOUNT of MONEY paid for a PRO plugin and the DISAPPOINTMENT I feel when same plugin keeps releasing without PRIORITIZING security.

NOT OKAY.

You LOSE TRUST with your customer who can be your biggest product allies.

This is just laziness to allow security Admin exploits.

Great customer service and communication. Helped me with my issue and I got it resolved. Would highly recommend this plugin.

It was really helpful and simplistic in the best ways. Easy for anyone to understand. The chat assistant was also really nice
