Sean and his team were great! Really cooperative to create a bespoke menu that met our needs. The food arrived on time and tasted really nice too. I'd definitely recommend booking Dookies.

Bit of a late response to this. But these guys recently catered for my wedding party in Harlow. Having married my wife a month prior in Jamaica we were looking for a Caribbean taste here at home. And I am genuinely so grateful we had the chance to secure Dookie. The curry goat literally came so tender and fell from the bone. Rice and pea was unbelievable and fluffy. The jerk chicken was next level. The Caribbean spices were amazing, when it’s absolutely fire and delicious is a skill in itself. Real authentic, real nice people too. Straight up big in the game. I just hope the Jamaicans don’t taste it because they will be vex for the uk doing it better than them. Thanks 🇯🇲💙🔥

Dookies did the buffet for our wedding. The food was delicious and excellent in every way. All our guests commented on how good it was. I was particularly impressed with attention to vegan and vegetarian needs. The service on the day ran smoothly and efficiently feeding 90 people in a short time. Including seconds! Sean and the team were friendly and professional throughout.
We really enjoyed the tasting we had before the event which gave us a lot of confidence. Some details about the requirements of our venue were missed and this caused some stress. However things were resolved professionally and amicably which helped a lot. We would highly recommend.

Dookies Caribbean grill did the food for our wedding party recently. Every single guest commented on how delicious the food was. The van looks amazing and the staff were brilliant right from suppling a quote to after the event. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

It’s making me want to have another party just to be able to use them again for catering.

Having organised our baby shower, it was our first time using a catering company and I must say I’ve had the best experience with Dookies Grill from the beginning to the end. The catering offered an affordable but a variety of tasty Caribbean cuisine. Great communication, amazing food everyone loved it. The team was amazing on the day felt they were apart of our event. We hired Dookies Grill to cater for WCC's Black History Month Celebration and were left awestruck by their professionalism, kindness and amazing food. They were attentive to any special requests made and went above & beyond to ensure that residents enjoyed their evening. All of the staff were helpful, especially in supporting our council staff in cleaning up after the event. Special shout-out to Sean for his co-operation from the planning stage of the event and following the event. 100/10 recommend for any of your future events!

Had the pleasure of having Dookie’s Grill Cater for my son’s birthday party. All of our guests had nothing but great things to say about the Service and the food. Would definitely book for another event.

Dookies catered for our wedding and absolutely nailed it. Everything tasted amazing and they managed to create an excellent looking set up in what was quite a tight space. Super easy to deal with too. Thank you guys for giving our special day some serious flavour. We will definitely recommend!

I found Dookies Grill via instagram last year. Their food looked great and had great options I required for my wedding evening food.

Throughout the communication leading up to the wedding Sean was very attentive and took on board all our issues and requests.

We was blown away by the taster meeting which was absolutely perfect we both said yes straight away as they met our needs for quality and quantity.

We got married on the 21 September during the day I saw the spread from dookies grill which was laid out beautifully as an addition they provided a fruit section and added rice which was not initially on our request, this was a pleasant surprise and accompanied our menu perfectly and we was so appreciative of this gesture.

After the wedding we was provided with a bride and groom take away package which was greatly appreciated the next day.

We also have had a lot of positive feedback from our guest who loved the food especially the jerk chicken. They were also so happy there was take away boxes provided by dookies grill at no extra charge.

All in all this was a perfect match and made our day even more special. I will be using them again for my daughters birthday or graduation can’t wait!

Experienced Dookies at a recent wedding and will definitely use them in the future. The staff were well trained and customer focused. The food was delicious. I am a vegetarian and veg food is often an after thought. This was not the case with Dookies. Everything was delicious, plentiful and served with a smile and can do attitude. They catered for a large event with professionalism and an attention to detail that is often missing else where.

Dookies provided the outside catering for my son and his bride's wedding in Hitchen. The service was excellent and prompt. The vegetarian curry, rice and peas, coleslaw and plaintain was great and plentiful. My friends who eat meat were complimenting the chef about the Jerk Chicken and Fish dishes. The desert table, cakes and pastries were excellent also. To be recommended.

I attended a wedding catered by Dookies a few days ago.
The food was served family style. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable.
Everyone I spoke to commented about how much they enjoyed the food.
I would recommend Dookies to anyone wanting authentic caribbean food served in a professional manner. I will certainly be using them for any future family celebration events.

Experienced Dookie’s at a recent wedding and it was fantastic. The canapés were delicious and so was the main meal. The jerk chicken was really well seasoned and not dry at all. The service was also wonderful, all the wait staff were friendly and helpful.

I’m looking forward to eating here again.

Dookies provided the catering for my son & daughter in law's wedding. From the canapes during the cocktail hour to the wedding breakfast & the evening food the food provided was excellent. Our guests loved the canapes and the servers did a great job of unobrusively serving as guests were mingling. The venue was large with guests inside and outside in the grounds and the servers dealt with this and covered the various areas well. I had lots of comments from guests on how good the food was and everyone loved the family service. The coordination of the servers for the family was excellent bringing all of the dishes to each table at the same time. We had so many positive comments from guests about the chicken and how good it was. We wanted our guests to feel taken care of, good food is a big part of that and Dookies delivered on this element of the day for us. A huge thank you to the whole team.

We hired Dookies Grill for our wedding breakfast and evening food. I had a lot of communication with Sean during the stressful months before the wedding, he was always patient, constructive and accommodating. The communication from the Dookies team helped the day run smoothly.

The food throughout the day was excellent, the day was extremely busy but Sean made sure that we were served some of the amazing canapés before our guests ate them all. The family style table sharing worked really well and our guests really enjoyed the experience. Our family and friends kept coming to both of us to compliment the food.

Sean, Sadie, Maz and the team went above and beyond on the day, we appreciate the effort and work of the whole team and would recommend Dookies to anyone.

I gave them 1* for turning up it was chaotic we were given the wrong food which was cold coming straight from the kitchen,and don’t get me started about the whole fish tail head everything at a wedding(this was supposed to be filleted sea bass ?) the starter was a burnt dry crisp I think that was salmon and the desert was an awful mess looked like a failing milk jelly yuk fruit salad was not great it was actually dry and hard how can you get a fruit salad wrong . In my opinion stick to what you know street food is not your forte and you certainly can’t specialise in wedding catering with awful food like that needless to say I’m disappointed and wouldn’t recommend you to anyone getting married

Dookies attended our food festival and we had a great experience with them. Brilliant communication, very friendly, really professional. Everyone loved the food and we'd love to have them back at our next event!

Never in a million years did I think I would be writing this poor review for Dookies Grill and is frustrating and disappointing to say the least. Sean contacted us via the website 'Add To Event' for our wedding in August 2024.

He said he could cater for our 116 sit down guests with a fine dine service and what a disappointment! Original 'Taster session' was fine but he oversold and he and the team on our day despite months of communication/planning underdelivered ie Burnt starters, inconsistent portion sizes, changing our menu dramatically without informing us and more! It was embarrassing that both him and his wife/'chef ' Sadie could call that a successful service! Some guests took so long to be served from their colleges ages inexperienced staff and what they finally received was embarrassing! They were happy when our evening caterers were sharing their food spent so long communicating with them for them to not have listened! Would never recommend and Sean's attitude at the end was disgusting...exiting our WhatsApp group without any resolve!! EXPENSIVE for the tiny portion and food that wasn't a fine dining experience! Too much went wrong for me not to respond and we have so many negative guests feedback and photos. The odd thing going wrong is excusable but not the amount that went wrong and the POOR AFTER SERVICE from Sean massively has let him down!

Will NEVER recommend 'Dookies' and especially for sit down meal.
