If you’re looking for a very safe pair of hands for your hard earned pension then I would definitely recommend Niah Elliston at Douglas Steers. Pensions are a mine field but Niah is very knowledgeable, happy to explain everything in detail and keen to ensure you fully understand the impact of any recommendations. I was put in touch with Douglas Steers by PensionWise to consider my pension options and to receive guidance and advice. I received great service from an experienced and knowledgeable adviser, who took great care to understand my circumstances and preferences and then to explain my options in detailed and comprehensible language.
My adviser took great care to contact me at a convenient time, offered to meet me face to face (but I suggested that a long journey was not necessary and we met via Teams online). My adviser sought authorisation to contact my pension providers.
Detailed literature and email contact supplemented the face to face meetings. At all times I felt confidence in the level of understanding displayed by my adviser, and in the clear guidance offered, backed up by deep, current and comprehensive knowledge of the financial and tax complexities that I could face in making my choices.

Have been using Douglas Steers in excess of 20 years and have always had an excellent service from David. We meet him at least twice a year and he looks after investments and pensions. Wouldn’t use anyone else - I trust the company with my life.

To appreciate why I have given 5 stars you need to know that I am approaching retirement, I'm single, live on my own and had absolutely no idea what kind of pensions I had or how they worked.
Justin has done a fabulous job in explaining everything in layman terms. He gently guided me through the process and paperwork, keeping me updated all the way and never pushing me into doing something I wasn't sure about.
Now I've been with Douglas Steers for just over a year, I feel confident that my pension is in the right hands. It honestly feels like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.
