Loved this game and played it for more than 10 years. Sadly the game has been in a terrible shame since 2020, nowadays it's getting even worse and worse and it became unhinged p2w trash. Developers keep deeping their pockets with money and they don't care about anything but that. THE GAME NEEDS NEED DEVELOPERS AND CM, if it still has some chance to survive, they are just terrible.

The game has become a gambling machine, only lottery boxes, nothing more, to get a set you either have to play 24 hours a day or spend half your salary to be able to play fairly, with the update there are more and more lottery boxes, spending 99 euros the lottery will give you 15k of useless essence, lottery boxes are driven by the lottery, it's sad that this game has fallen into such decline

It’s better from Diablo 4, so it’s a 5/5 game. Better pve and pvp and balance.

Drakensang Online is currently in a very poor state. Event management is weak and repetitive, turning what should be fun content into exhausting chores. Progression relies heavily on endless grinding that does not respect players’ time, making the game feel more like work than entertainment.

The gap between veteran players and newcomers is massive, with almost no effective catch-up mechanics. This makes the game extremely unfriendly to new players and discourages long-term growth of the community. On top of that, the removal of enjoyable and rewarding events like the Smugglers event has further reduced player motivation.

Overall, while the core concept of the game still has potential, poor decisions, lack of meaningful updates, and ignored community feedback have left Drakensang Online feeling stale, frustrating, and increasingly irrelevant.

First of all I really like this game, I've played since 2012-2013 and it gave me lots of emotions, lots of fun, community, game events all was perfect but now it's not free to play anymore, every time it reminds me Korean/Chinese game when you need to farm 24/7 and it'll not be enough. Owners/developers made this game based only on undermants, if you want to get new set pay, or farm unders 50-100h at least, if you want new petXD farm again unders and it lasts for 1-2 years, all runes unders, wanna go to ancestral ruins, unders, I see that the balance almost died, not f2p anymore. Also I should mention that bugs are everywhere, even playing on basic maps(not event) is difficult coz of bugs. Please, make the game, the process more achievilable. The other problem is the balance between characters and classes, why do we have rangers/warriors/SMs if all boosts and good set buffs have mages? Where's the balance? For me it's easier to delete my war and in 2 months I'll have stronger mage??? Fix 3 problems and make the game more interesting again. Also pvp is the real problem, almost died.

The game has been with me since my childhood — if I’m not mistaken, I’ve been playing it since 2014. It gave me amazing emotions back then. In those days, every event was useful and you could build your character with almost any gear.

Now everything is reduced to the same items — with them you’re top tier, without them you’re nothing. The pay-to-win factor is another topic, but in a game where everything depends on grinding, you can just spend 20–30 euros and skip 8 hours of farming.

The only thing that could save the game is a complete rebranding and a transition to a modern engine. That would also get rid of bots and cheats and bring in a new wave of players.

Well the current development for the last 5 years hasn't changed and was to produce more and more ingame Items which you can buy either with ingame currency (andermants) or real life money.
You are able to buy Andermants directly through the ingame shop or get them by playing. The rate of gaining versus spending Andermants is just enorm. Each new Update requires you to have at least 2 million Andermants while you earn 200 of these purple f***ers per one run of BloodChests (BC). One run (if done in a group and with modifiers + right pets + jewels) will give you around 200-500 Andermants per run (around 20 seconds doing the same shit over and over again until you get braindamage). AND of course you wouldn't be able to farm until you get braindamage because you even need to farm the prerequesite to be able to do BC runs...

As a non paying player I can state the following:
It has gotten harder and harder to keep up with the games Update pace. Each months event is being updated into this monetized version of it. The developers are focusing on creating new monetization ways than fixing old bugs. Either you are very lucky dropping the required items or you have money just as simple as that. If you are not strong enough or dont have friends to carry you, you WILL need to pay. The other way to achieve this would be to at least have 1000h of gameplay in which of course nothing has to be changed and remain the same. (This will obviously not happen)
Everyone telling you something different or "you aren't farming efficent" or "the right way" are either trying to ragebait you, are stupid, are using statements like these as a coping mechanism or a combination of all of these.

It just takes more and more time of your day to keep up with the simple things and it is even worse once you are not playing as THE OP class...

If you want to keep up with the new content of the game you will need money AND time. It is not like WarThunder where you get the choice of being able to pay to achieve the goal faster or have the opportunity to grind until you have it.

They basically give you one option: pay until you get your stuff, but until then there will be new stuff which you of course will need to have again to be able to play properly.

This game is only being played by either old people which don't have anything else to do and are basically just trash ingame OR diehards. And no these aren't veterans, because even veterans are quitting the game.

The management and Community Manager (CM) always tell you the same stuff over and over again.
"We will focus on building new stuff without monetization"
However they aren't doing that. It is just tirying to hear the same shit over and over again.

THE ONLY RIGHT THING TO DO IS NOT TO STOP PAYING BUT RATHER TO STOP PLAYING THE GAME AT ALL.

ONLY THIS WILL SHOW THEM WHAT THEY REALLY NEED TO DO!

The game went south from 2020 to 2026, not worth playing no more, noob devs that cant even make the items look polish, bad sets, values random for each character, instead of banning the bots, they just increase the ander cost, affecting the legit players, prices made out of nowhere, like why in the world a rune slot will cost 300 euro? thats the rent for my flat.

And lies about upcoming changes or updates.

Играю с 2012 года. До продажи новым разработчикам ДСО была лучшей игрой в своем жанре, сейчас все превратилось в навязчивое вымогательство денег. Чтобы получить крутую вещь, будь то сетовая мифическая вещь или мифический камень нужно вложить определенную сумму. Без доната невозможно играть наравне с сильными игроками. Игра скатилась в сплошную монетизацию. Жаль, но видимо скоро придется распрощаться с Дракенсангом. Медленно, но верно разработчики уничтожают игру.

Long therm farming and agressive monetization. U cannot progress in the game without spending money or alot of time in a cyclic farming process. I quit the game before and i quitting the game again for the same reason

Если быть честным то игра мне очень нравится а вот его руководство вообще вызывает отвращение- это честно.
В проекте я уже с 2016-15 года играю щас реже захожу так как есть более интересные пректы и в которых не видимость а реально видно что люди работают над проектом, 1. магазин за реальные деньги это ужас просто цены космос а по факту в замен ничего интересного, то как нас принуждают донатить в игру, сначало порезали иномантные мешочки потом их убрали вовсе заменив чепухой,затем порезали кубы,
и что вообще считаю сверх наглостью и ткпостью в большей степени убрать Контрабандистов-это уже ни в какие варота не лезет, но при этом столько акций новых где надо было сливать иноманты (по мне - это беспридел, разводить людей в наглую на деньги) 2. Люди работающие над проектом такие же как и их тех. поддержка- год назад у меня угнали аккаунт парамеханист (потный слюнтяй-греческими буквами) я около четырёх недели переписывался предоставлял скрины о донате с почты и самое главный скрин при создании аккаунта. И на что мне пришло письмо, где чёрным по белому было написано- Мы подозреваем что вы пытаетесь завладеть (бл.) чужим аккаунтом хотя я знаю если бы они приостановили работу персоанажа и тот кто им завладел обратился бы в тех. поддержку и тех поды запросили бы скрины которые я им предоставил то он просто бы не смог этого сделать.
Так что я очень зол-это мягко говоря, на эту тех. поддержку, лично у меня сложилось мнение что они там все замешаны.
Я уже не раз говорил и ещё раз повторюсь-
из за алочности и жадности погибали очень сильные Империи а что такое ДСО по сравнению с ними в нашей реалии.- Пыль!

I love the game but it starts to disgust me since the necessity of investing money in anything just to can grind the game a bit from the premium nowadays, like if you are a new player, without a regular premium the game is very robust and shit to play, leave the deluxe version but remove the regular premium, make it free for everyone. Any other game like this kind have the auto collect on coins and game currency. And other small things that drops, is frustrating for sure.

And also I’m not saying that the event is impossible to do it without money but grinding for ader without any other way to farm ips than q5 does not exist, I don’t want to talk about the ips jewele… if you don’t have ot you’re fkt. Which I don’t. 🚑
That I can say is worth some money same as the ingredient one.

Current developers are just terrible at owning, controlling and improving this game. They can't create new stuffs (copying old maps, items, effects, mechanics), because they don't know how game engine works. Game have a lot of bugs, imbalances, pay to win content and lack of new fun events or new things to do. They are currently breaking pvp, pve and players trust by hiding new op items behind paywall. Developers also do not care what player interests are and are mainly focusing to get our money in exchange of almost nothing new.
The game is great by itself, but only bad thing is that chinese developer team is slowly destroying game and it is matter of time when it will be officially shutdown.

I have been a player for a decade and i am sure i know the game very well. Since the big CE where the maximum level went form 55 to 100 , the game went downhill. New content was released but it was rare and was always followed by the term "Pay to Win" which we all that it does not bring joy to the players. The feedback that we submit are not considered by the developers who for the last 3 months have been on a greedy rampage , releasing only p2w content in order to make money and not to offer something that we can reach by pure grind . The game is going downhill and there are no signs of coming back up from that . Bigpoint must take drastic action in order for the game to be saved .
