Just came off my appraisal session with Dr Boyson and honestly could not recommend him more highly. From the very first contact he was warm, patient, and incredibly accommodating, especially given my unusual circumstances as a doctor based abroad. The session itself was smooth, comprehensive, and genuinely felt like a conversation rather than a tick-box exercise. He clearly knows exactly what the GMC wants, not just now but looking ahead, and he gave me really thoughtful guidance for the next 12 months and beyond. I did my appraisal with Chris Boyson. He was very supportive and made the whole process easy.

First of all, before booking my first appraisal as an overseas doctor I had a quick telephonic chat with Dr Boyson, the director of the company who put to ease all of my anxiety related to the process of my first appraisal. Following that I booked a fast track appraisal and this was followed two emails explaining in detail in plain language what next to do and how to do that. The appraisal process itself was via virtual video Google meet. Dr Boyson was very approachable, knowledgeable and understanding and made the appraisal process very comfortable. Whenever there were doubts on any point Dr Boyson would take time to elaborate on it. Overall, I must say it was a pleasant experience to have Dr Boyson as an appraiser and I would highly recommend his services for UK or overseas based doctors. Thank you DrAppraisals for the services. I contacted Dr Boyson feeling quite confused about the annual return and appraisal process, as I am an IMG and not connected to any designated body. He kindly took the time to explain the process to me, which really helped relieve my anxiety and clear up my confusion - even before I had subscribed to any package.
The appraisal itself went very smoothly. He explained the next steps clearly and what I should expect going forward, and he returned my REV12 form very promptly.
I had a really good experience.

I pre-emptively requested an appraisal ahead of time which I then had to cancel after confirming the dates with the GMC! I emailed Chris to apologise & cancel & received a prompt reply to confirm a refund. Refreshingly straight-forward! Good to deal with a real person rather than an automaton. I will be rebooking nearer the confirmed time required!

I had an excellent experience with GMC Appraisals. As a licensed practitioner in the UK, I needed a reliable service for my appraisal, and they were fantastic. Great teaching

This was my first appraisal in the UK and I felt completely lost at the beginning, but Dr.Boyson was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly professional and efficient, and took the time to clearly explain every step and what to expect. He made me feel totally comfortable throughout — there was no judgement or criticism, only encouragement and lots of practical, helpful advice. His guidance was honest, supportive, and extremely valuable, especially regarding my future career and how to prepare for my next revalidation. I’m truly grateful for his support and would highly recommend him to anyone.
