Can't upload files larger than 20GB, please refund, kind staff

Getting a refund on this. The problem is that any files about 20GB plus are not uploaded. This is a super product for people with smaller files. Some of my work is larger and isn't going to be efficient for me. The upload reaches 100%, but then fails at the final step due to a server error.

In simple terms: the file fully uploads, but their system “forgets” the upload exists when it tries to finish processing it. It is a messy problem with their backend handling of "large" uploads. Other cloud services don’t have this issue.

At the moment, the service is not reliable for large media files, which is the main reason I purchased it.

Chatbot says contact the "support" address. I've sent two e-mails to that, and it is not a working e-mail. Chatbot blames the upload problem on "slow" Wifi. As someone in the middle of a high tech locale, that is false. The "contact" e-mail address does work, so I am waiting on a reply from that one.

Your staff members on chat when live office hours are all great and personable. The ideal people! :) So it is truly disappointing that this product does not work for my needs.

For another person with Word docs and other files, it's probably good.

Update: Got my refund from the third party website I bought it on, was however left with the feeling that I only heard from customer service and the owner because I requested a refund. Repeat: nothing was being done about this issue until the word "refund" was e-mailed. I don't like that. The interactions with the owner were personable and felt at the same time, very odd because this shouldn't be "we fix things when the customer wants a refund." :( Who really knows how long the patch would work anyway, if it did? I wasn't going to repurchase the lifetime plan to try it out with the company's disinterest in resolving problems until they worry the lifetime plan money you spent is going away. The next time, there would be no refund and no resolution to fixing any bugs or problems. I would potentially be stuck with a non-working cloud for my setup. Mind you, for smaller files, this works great, I speak specifically about anything that is video or larger in size.

Improved significantly after update

Extremely slow-- even the paid version :((

Update:
It got significantly better after the update--waiting for the phone app to catch up. Can't wait to back my computer up with this! I love the functionalities and I hope it stays reliable for the time being. It would also be amazing for my studio--love the team features

Second update:
One of the backed up folders disappeared from my drive while it's still taking up space--might be a glitch that made it invisible. Please fix the problem

Je suis vraiment déçu, car sur le papier, cela correspond exactement à ce que je recherche.
Tout d'abord, l'interface, aussi bien sur PC que sur l'app, est relativement lente ; et sur PC, malgré les réglages en français, elle reste en anglais.
Selon les opérations lancées (édition de document, partage), j'ai eu plusieurs messages d'erreur m'obligeant à refaire l'opération.
J'ai créé un dossier en donnant les droits d'accÚs à une autre adresse mail. L'invitation est bien arrivée sur l'autre boîte mail, j'ai créé le second compte, mais impossible d'avoir les données partagées, bien que les notifications du second compte indiquent qu'un utilisateur a partagé des données avec moi.
Je ne comprends pas comment on peut utiliser cette appli dans un cadre pro.
Peut-être ai-je testé au mauvais moment et qu'un incident technique était en cours, ou que la version gratuite est moins performante.

Too slow and basic to compete with well-established cloud services.

Review for the free version.

I have a fast fiber-optic internet connection and a fast AMD Ryzen 7 desktop pc with Windows 11 fully up-to-date.

Positive:
- Competitive pricing.
- Web interface is simple but clear.
- Data centers in the Netherlands and France.

Negative:
- A too-simple Windows desktop application.
- I synced 4 files: 1 jpg (6.72 MB), 1 mp4 (14.9 MB), 1 mp4 (30.2 MB) and 1 ico (37.7 KB).
It took more than a minute to synchronize these four small files with the website.
To decode and play the small 30.2 MB mp4 file takes more than 15 seconds. To decode and open the 6.72 MB jpg file takes 5 seconds.
- Going back and forth on the website shows always empty pages. So, each time when I go back and forth, I have to refresh the website, which also takes 5 seconds or more, just to see a new page.
- MOST IMPORTANT: There's NO rewinding feature. Hence, you can NOT rewind multiple files, folders or your entire drive. You can only recover individual file versions one by one. Therefore, Drime cannot be used to recover your files in case of a ransomware attack on your physical storage, failure of your physical storage, or just to recover multiple files and folders at once.

To summarize:
It might be that the free version is slower than the paid versions, but the free version is too slow to be useful.
Nowadays, all reliable and good cloud storage services, such as pCloud, kDrive (from Swiss-based Infomaniak), Mega, OpenDrive, Icedrive and others have a rewinding feature.
Rewinding is absolutely a must, not an option. A cloud service without rewinding is definitely a NO for me.
Moreover, the price of Drime is even more expensive than Mega, OpenDrive, Icedrive, kDrive and many other cloud services. Therefore, I don't see any need to pay more but to get less in features.
Drime definitely needs to be improved to compete with other cloud services.

Drime does not limit speeds between free and paid plans. Performance can vary depending on factors like location or network conditions, and we are continuously improving our infrastructure to make things faster and more reliable.

Regarding the rewind feature, it’s planned. Drime is still a relatively young product and we’re shipping improvements and new features every week.

Finally, our pricing reflects the broader scope of Drime. It’s not just cloud storage, but a full collaborative platform with features like workspaces, file sharing, electronic signatures and notes, which is why it may differ from more storage-only services.

🚚 un test de quelques semaines de la version gratuite me permet d'apprécier ce service et j'ai bien envie de lui faire confiance en y migrant toutes mes activités cloud et mes données. Par contre l'absence totale de communication de l'entreprise qui me permette d'évaluer sa pérennité est un frein ‌ pour moi alors que le choix d'un cloud storage est aujourd'hui presque un choix de vie. Sur la solution certes il y a des choses à améliorer mais cela ne m'empêche pas de bien voir le potentiel de comment Drime prend un bon départ sur la scÚne du Cloud, mais encore une fois on ne sait pas si vous allez fermer boutique demain ou être racheté par un fond américain - ce qui est extrêmement probable - donc en l'absence totale de communication de votre part (ok vous êtes des geeks mais sérieusement si vous voulez passer à la vitesse supérieure c'est une option à considérer, qui pourrait même vous permettre d'exploser les chiffres de votre croissance ). Bref, quand on vend un service long terme il faut développer la confiance avec vos utilisateurs. Je suis dispo pour en parler avec vous si vous voulez.

Initially great, but now seems unusably slow

We are a small charity and needed a relatively small amount of cloud space for storing and sharing documents such as policies, minutes, reports etc, without incurring major costs. Google docs is only free for individuals and their free service for non-profit organisations is highly complex, ridiculously OTT, and I never managed to access the Google Drive feature, which was all we really wanted anyway!
Drime, on the other hand seemed perfect, providing just what we needed. It is simple to use, with enough free space for us and no unnecessary complication. Setting it up and sharing the login with my colleagues was dead easy.
But . . .
When I set this up for our charity, last September, it appeared to work well and the access speeds were quite acceptable. But now it seems to be dragging its feet - incredibly slow, such that accessing documents simply times out. Drime appears to use OnlyOffice to open documents, but from our trials, it doesn't work with pdfs - ever! Trying to open a small pdf took about 90 seconds at which time there was a notice "Download Failed". Opening a small Word file took about a quarter of a minute.
I don't know if this is a temporary problem, but it is a shame that such a great service should be marred by such slow operating speeds.
