Before I started learning at Driving Dynamix, I was very anxious about driving and being in my 30s, I was a late learner. A few years ago, I had about 16 hours of manual lessons with another driving school and I struggled so much with the gears and the clutch, finding it so frustrating that I took a break from it. I decided to switch to automatic driving and I started learning last year with Driving Dynamix. Alyx has been a wonderful instructor – I told her about my driving nerves and she has gone above and beyond to make me feel at ease during the learning process. She really adapts to your learning style, which has been incredibly helpful, and is friendly, warm and supportive with a clear and gentle approach to driving instruction – always constructive and would never shout or get annoyed, much to my relief as an anxious learner. She's been so encouraging throughout this experience. Driving Dynamix offers mock tests as part of their tuition as well, which is so useful to get you ready for the real thing.

Over the year, I’ve become a much more confident and relaxed driver, picking up brilliant tips and advice throughout and I’m delighted to say that I passed on my second attempt yesterday with only two driver faults (and even on my first attempt, I only had four faults in total). I felt so proud to be told that I had passed that I squealed ‘Are you serious!?’ to the examiner, as I’d been waiting for this day to come.

When you’re a late learner, you’re used to people asking throughout your teens/20s/30s, ‘So when are you going to start driving lessons?’ Truth be told, I was afraid to learn and now I’m over the moon to have my driving license and the team at Driving Dynamix have made that all possible. Thank you Alyx for your brilliant instruction (I’ll miss our driving chats!), Sharon for booking in my lessons and Colin for the couple of sessions we had (to get used to driving with someone different in the passenger seat – also useful!). They’re a lovely organisation who really care and I highly recommend booking them for your driving lessons, particularly if you’re a nervous driver like I was!

First time pass … Alyx was very patient and encouraging which really helped my confidence. She was able to guide me through challenges and develop my skills, which enabled me to keep calm and really understand what I needed to do. A fantastic and enjoyable experience all round. Thank you Aylx!

Gabi helped me so much to pass my driving test even though i was terrified, it was a wonderful expirience to the point of looking forwards to lessons, thank you so much !

I started off so nervous filled with anxiety and Gabbi saw that but always pushed me to succeed. Always so patient and understanding, I went from a nervous wreck to passing my test after 23 hours and only had 2 minors. So if you are looking for someone who understands and pushes you to succeed then Driving Dynamix are the ones to choose thank you so much for everything

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor than Colin. He was so chill, patient, and easy to get along with from day one, which made such a difference when learning to drive. You can really tell he knows his stuff from all his years as an examiner — his advice and teaching style gave me so much confidence on the road.
Not only was he a great instructor, but just a genuinely lovely guy and we built such a good friendship throughout my lessons. The whole team were amazing too and always really supportive and helpful throughout the process.
Would 100% recommend to anyone learning to drive. Thank you for everything!

Gabi is a great instructor who helped me go from complete novice to confident driver. She's very good at putting learners at ease and making the experience of learning to drive fun and rewarding. Her system of multiple mock tests on the week leading up to the exam works really well, and I passed first time! I'd recommend her and Driving Dynamix to anyone looking to learn to drive, especially if they're anxious about being behind the wheel.

I enjoyed and valued my lessons with Gabi, and I managed to go from a nervous complete beginner to a first time passer thanks to her. Gabi was very supportive but not afraid to provide a gentle push when needed. I would definitely recommend Driving Dynamix!

I'd avoided learning to drive for decades because it scared me so much. I got to a point where I needed to drive and decided to give it a go despite severe nerves. I was lucky enough to have Alyx as my instructor and I simply could not have asked for a better driving instructor! She is fantastic. I was so nervous I was near tears the first time I sat in the drivers seat, afraid to even begin. Alyx is like a miracle worker, she is so calm and reassuring. Her instructions are clear and she makes sure you feel safe. She doesn't push you beyond what you are comfortable with and is amazing at knowing how you need to learn.
Not only did she help me get past my fear of driving, I actually enjoy it! And it's all thanks to Alyx! We had such a good time on my lessons and I'll miss our chats. You honestly could not ask for a better instructor. The experience has changed my life and not only has taught me to drive, but given me more confidence in myself. Best thing I ever did. I recently passed my driving test first time after about 9 months lessons with Alyx. She is a fantastic driving instructor, really knowledgeable and also super friendly and encouraging. Lessons with Alyx were really enjoyable, and she made learning to drive fun. Lessons were tailored to my needs, and I also took a semi-intensive week of lessons prior to my test which was really useful. Driving Dynamix is also a really well run driving school with good admin, useful app and everything was just organised and straightforward. I really can’t recommend Alyx and Driving Dynamix highly enough.

I have been trying to learn to drive automatic for years. Four instructors, swapping from manual to automatic, many long breaks from learning to drive and one failed test later I have finally passed with no driving faults!

I was incredibly nervous for my second attempt, and had not driven with an instructor in a long time when I booked a series of intensive driving lessons with Alyx on the recommendation of another student.

Alyx was kind, understanding and a wonderful teacher. She built my confidence back up and gave me so many useful tools for my driving in the short time we had together. She was non judgmental and so understanding when I explained what I didn’t understand or was anxious about. She not only helped me pass my test but made me a better, safer driver.

I would highly, highly recommend Alyx and the team at Driving Dynamix.

I also had the delight of doing a mock test with manual driving instructor Gabi who was equally as kind, considerate and encouraging.

I highly recommend driving dynamic, I’m 54 and was really nervous about learning to drive, I done automatic and my instructor was Colin, he made me feel relaxed and comfortable in the car, I passed first time so thank you so much

Couldn't be more happy with Driving Dynamix, and Alyx, when I started I had little confidence and was very nervous but throughout my experience I was supported in my driving and my confidence. I am dyslexic and have issues with learning some things but my lessons were tailored to me in a way I could learn everything I needed. I felt looked after and encouraged.
When you are ready you are prepared very well for the test and have extremely help mock tests that help you feel confident about taking the test.
I couldn't of had a better, more friendly and positive experience learing to drive. I am very happy with my choice of Driving Dynamics and would highly recommend Alyx.

Learning to drive with Alyx has been nothing short of life changing. Having tried twice before with other instructors, I thought I would never feel comfortable behind the wheel. Alyx showed unwavering kindness, patience and understanding, and helped me work through my nerves to a pass. She is totally amazing. As well as being lovely, Alyx absolutely knows her stuff and has given me the skills not just for the test but to drive safely and confidently in real life. I hope she knows what an impact she has had. It goes without saying that I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

I had auto lessons with Alyx from September 2024-July 2025 when I passed my test at the first attempt. Alyx was absolutely fantastic, and I went from being terrified to even drive around a car park to feeling confident and safe taking my test. Alyx was amazing with my nerves and I would recommend her to anyone anxious/neurodivergent etc as she was always calm and cheerful in lessons and super encouraging and supportive. I really felt like I developed my skills and mindset in every lesson, and I did several mock tests towards the end that were massively helpful. Thanks to Alyx, I went from thinking I’d probably never be able to drive to passing my test in less than a year. I would absolutely recommend Alyx as an auto instructor and the rest of the Driving Dynamix team!!

Definitely highly recommend Driving Dynamix! I’ve done my driving lessons with Alyx and passed first time with her, she’s lovely, calm and very patient. Made me feel way more comfortable with certain areas of my driving skills that needed extra attention and is definitely an amazing teacher. Doing the mocktests before the test definitely helped a lot as well and helped me to build my confidence as well as calm my nerves down. Thank you so much to Alyx for helping me get my licence! Xx
