we’re sorry to read this, and we take these accusations very seriously.
On shipping fees: we don’t “invent” delivery costs. Shipping charges are calculated based on destination, parcel size/weight (= that is the volume weight, that is mostly different te absolute weight), and carrier tariffs.
On high-value or oversized items, costs can be significantly higher than a standard parcel, but they are never added arbitrarily after the fact.
On pricing for custom work: building and configuring triggered shells is not just “skins and triggers” — it includes components, assembly, calibration, quality checks, and handling. That said, you should always feel you were treated respectfully, and we’re sorry if our communication came across as patronising.
On the claim that an account was deactivated for posting a review: we do not deactivate customer accounts as a retaliation for criticism. Accounts may be disabled only for reasons like security concerns, suspected misuse, or policy violations — and we can’t discuss individual account actions publicly.
We’re reviewing this internally because the experience you describe is not what we want associated with drum-tec.

This is is a fabulous company who supply direct to GB from Germany within 2-3 days. I have just received the best customer care you would ever wish for. A replacement cymbal sent without any problems and excellent comms from the team. I would highly recommend this company for drummers at any level.

It's amazing! I ordered goods and the next day they came with UPS from Germany to Denmark .... Impressive. It should just be mentioned that at the same time I bought some other drum spare parts from another German company where the shipment costs 20 EUR - It has not been sent yet ....

The best online store for buying hardware or pads for drummers! Very nice stuff, they are always happy to help, even "after sale" department is working very well. Hope other shops will take an example from them. Never been treated that nicely. Highly recommended, You not gonna be disappointed. They're professionals.

Fabulous products to match a fabulous support team!
I converted my acoustic kit to a hybrid one a few years back. I got fed up with how my "Remo Silentstroke" mesh heads were performing and chose "drum-tec real feel black belt" mesh heads as my replacement. Let me tell you, these heads have it all: perfect triggering, low noise levels, realistic rebound, and they look beautiful on the kit. 10/10 would recommend these heads to anyone.
When ordering from drum-tec, you not only get great products but you get the piece of mind that comes from a wonderful support staff as well. And when you have Heiko handling your request, you can expect professionalism, prompt responses, and a superb level of customer support.

ATV EXS-3
I was looking for a new drum kit and found drum-tec through their YouTube channel. I mailed them for advice and got great help. I bought the ATV EXS-3 in january this year. I had some issues with one cymbal,but the customer service was very helpfull and I got a replacement really quick. I recommend this store to anyone looking for a new drum kit or equipment.

Alles was ich dort gekauft habe ist tadellos und im Vergleich mit anderen Anbietern fast immer etwas günstiger. Ich habe mich vor dem Kauf stets im Internet informiert, es gibt zu Drums ja diverse Foren und Testberichte. Ohne Drum-Tec hätte ich jetzt nicht das Setup wie ich es mir gewünscht habe, einfach super :-)

Pro custom kit with td50: one year review.
I have owned my pro custom kit with a td 50 for a year. I have played many other modules and pads, including top line Roland and mimic pro. The quality and playability of Drumtec set with the td50 is unmatched. I am writing this review on drumtecs after sales service: which has been mostly questions I have about the td50 or user samples etc... without exception, Drumtec thoroughly and promptly answers my questions even though there is a nine hour time difference. If you are looking for a set that is better, not cheaper, you will be happy you made your purchase with Drumtec.

I am now in the same sh’t as others. They ask for more money, but even when I say OK lets go ahead I want a fast delivery (they promissed 1-2 days) they just dont react to emails. Its crazy!!

sorry to hear this — a situation where you’re asked to pay extra and then don’t get replies is absolutely not acceptable, especially after a promised 1–2 day delivery timeframe. But sometiimes it is not under our control what has happen on the deilvery way.
A few points for clarity: any additional costs should only occur if something changes (e.g., shipping method, destination/weight, customs/fees, or a pricing error that needs confirmation). But even then, communication must be quick and clear — and you should never be left without an answer once you’ve agreed on how to proceed.
We’re taking this feedback seriously and will review our internal handling of cases where an order needs clarification after purchase, to ensure:
* responses don’t stall,
* responsibilities are clearly covered during absences,
* and delivery promises are only made when they can be kept.
Sorry again for the frustration this caused.

2Box / ATV purchase
Recently purchased ATV pads and 2Box module. Communication was very good throughout, and the shipping was clearly stated on the offer to my destination in (Sweden) before I proceeded. A bank transfer was made on the Friday, and I received the goods the following Thursday morning. The items were very well packed and in perfect condition. Considering the current situation and the christmas post, I thought that was very good service. I, at least, had no problems, and will use them again in the future.

I can't believe the average rating with 3 stars. I am an asbolute happy customer since more than ten years and that's how old my Drum Tec Diabolo with Roland TD 12 is. During this time I had always received fair deals and even some spare parts for free. Great customer orientation and I never had the feeling it's all about generating revenues. Honestly, I will probably never give up my acoustic kits but for home rehearsal and some gigs with low volume demands it is still the perfect choice for me. So THANKS to the team (especially Marcus Berger and Matthias Lück!!!)

Warum hier nur 3 Sterne stehen, kann ich nicht verstehen. Ich bin schon seit mehr als 10 Jahren Kunde und so alt ist auch mein Drum Tec Diabolo mit TD 12. In der Zeit habe ich mehrmals bei Verschleißteilen (Rim's, Mesh-Heads, Kleinteile) einen Top Service mit enormer Kulanz erlebt. Auch die Beratung war immer Kundenorientiert und ich hatte nie den Eindruck, dass emsige Verkäufer hier Umsatzziele erreichen wollen! Ich werde wohl niemals mein akustisches set aufgeben aber für das üben zu Hause und den ein oder anderen Gig wo Lautstärke kontrolliert werden muss, ist mein kleines schwarzes immer noch TOP und absolut passend. DANKE Drum Tec (vor allem Marcus Berger und Matthias Lück!!)

Richtig cool zu hören, dass dein drum-tec diabolo mit Roland TD-12 so lange zuverlässig läuft und du bei Verschleißteilen wie Rims, Mesh-Heads & Kleinteilen immer wieder guten Service und Kulanz erlebt hast. Genau so soll’s sein: kundenorientiert beraten, ohne Verkaufsdruck.
Und dass dein „kleines Schwarzes“ fürs Üben zu Hause und die lautstärke-sensiblen Gigs immer noch perfekt passt, feiern wir sehr. Das Lob geben wir natürlich an **Marcus Berger** und **Matthias Lück** weiter.

Don’t buy here!
I ordered - and paid! - a Roland VAD506 with many additional parts with a total worth of almost € 6000.-.
Despite the fact the website states that it is incl VAT and shipment, I received an email with the request to pay almost € 200.- of shipping costs. I live in the Netherlands, so being a neighboring country a crazy amount. They offered to pay a small part of it, but cancelled the deal over € 20.-
I finally bought the whole set in a drum shop nearby, for the SAME price as Drum-Tec including shipping!
If they make a fuss about € 20.- when you pay € 6000.-, how will they handle warranty? I don’t trust Drum-Tec!!!
I am happy I finally bought the set nearby, with the warranty running there, being happy Dum-Tec sent my money back.

Shipping costs should never come as a surprise.
For international deliveries, shipping can increase for large/heavy parcels once a certain volumetric weight is exceeded. We mention this in our shipping information, and if additional costs apply we inform the customer after the order is placed. The customer can then choose to accept the updated shipping quote or cancel the order — in that case we refund promptly.
We’re glad the refund was processed and that you were able to get the kit locally for the same total price. Still, we regret that we lost your order over this and that the communication left you with concerns about how we would handle warranty. Our goal is always transparent costs and a fair, reliable process — before and after the purchase.

Pay attention to their pricing!
Be careful when you order from this shop... On the product page it says “incl shipping”, but when it comes to payment they suddenly charge shipping, allegedly for non-German customers. That is an attempt to twist your arm.
If you talk to them about it their basic response is to show you the finger... “Take it or leave it”. That’s a remarkable business attitude.
