I bought 2 pair and 2 years later the soles come away from both pair within a week of each other. Its going to cost about £130.00 per pair to repair.
I should have stuck with my Ariat, I've had them for 12 years.

Repaired boots very well and at a reasonable price. Would have been 5 stars if their communication was a bit better. They should acknowledge receipt of boots for repair and give customer an estimate of time needed for repair as a matter of course.

Just to put up my own honest experience— my galways are my favorite boots ever. I wear them everywhere - to walk dogs, to dog park, to Disneyland, I even wear them to muck my horse’s pasture multiple times a day (even though apparently you are not supposed to). They have been totally waterproof and perfect for me in spite of hard, heavy wear. I love them. Hopefully they continue to last but I just wanted to put this up as I am surprised by all the negative reviews. I just bought a pair of the kildare boots as well for summer. I think I will buy these boots forever- so long as I can afford them!

Purchased a pair of Dubarry Ultima GORE-TEX – Sailing Boots approx Nov 2021 so are about 18 months old, i wore them about 4 times, just gone to wear them again and the sole on both boots was splitting badly so now have no option to bin them, you would expect them to last longer at £300 a pair. And especially as designed for a salt water enviroment. So Disappointed as out of warranty

I spoke with ‘Charlie’ at the Cheltenham Festival regarding their boots that constantly fall apart.
He was well rehearsed and started to show me the sole of a pair of boots and then started to ramble about walking through ‘urine’ ? Was he trying to lead me down the path of saying that I wore my boots around horses ? no I don’t I said ! He then said return them to be repaired ! He had no idea about the £120.00 cost of repair.
Funnily enough, they no longer seem to do the water test at shows !! and the soles look different.
Another pair fall apart. All my friends have these boots - everyone’s boots have fallen apart.
When will Dubarry hold their hands up and admit their product is sub standard. How can they keep ripping people off.
They read these negative reviews as responses are provided but they hide behind words.
The reality is, these boots are not fit for purpose, certainly not built to last longer than 6 months and are a total ripoff.
I cringe when friends say look at my boots, now useless in a boot rack never to be worn again unless we all fork out £120.00 to get them fixed by a trusted Dubarry partner who are very busy, repairing Dubarry boots that constantly fall apart - I do wonder how the Dubarry owners sleep at night.

Used the BRC authorised repairers to replace the sole unit on my beloved boots. Absolute nightmare.
1st try - sole unit went too high up the sides of the boot, making them too small
2nd try - sole unit was a size smaller than the boot
3rd try- same as first.
They replaced my boots in the end, but that was a problem as Dubarry have changed the shape of the footbed and the Galways now rub like mad.
I'm left with a pair of unwearable boots that I cannot bear to throw out, and had to sell the replacements as they were not comfy.

The boots a bought for my wife started to crack and split across the leather on the uppers of both boots despite following Dubarrys care instructions . They were expensive and i wont be buying another pair or recommending them to anyone else .

Had received very good reviews about these from friends and family. They used to be the go to boot for country pursuits and would long outlast any of their rubber counterparts.
I therefore purchased a pair of Dubarry Wexford Boots along with all the leather and nubuck care products from a local shop. Unfortunately, despite the leather and sole still being as new, similar to other reviews on here the midsole has started to crumble and the sole has come away. Meanwhile, my expensive at half the price different manufacturer rubber boots are still going strong.
Dubarry's approved UK repairer can replace with a new complete sole unit for a charge, and Dubarry of Ireland have approved this style of sole for their boots.
There must be a reason why Dubarry's UK repairer has an approved fix for this problem and is so busy at the moment?

Je les ai depuis longtemps,bien que relativement peu servi ,donc plus sous garantie (1 an) et encore je crois que la garantie ne porte que sur le cuir .
Extrêmement déçue ,au vu du prix très conséquent de ces bottes .

Terrible customer service, Dubarry try to claim that service experienced whilst using their boot repair company is nothing to do with them - yet Dubarry are the ones that took payment for the repair, via the Dubarry website. I bought the sole repair service, unaware that I was sending them to The Boot Repair Company, not Dubarry. Once the company ran over their 6-8 week deadline, they contacted me to tell me they need to charge me £40 more for the sole repair, even though I’d purchased sole repair at £75. By this point they’d had them for two months so I just wanted them back. I declined and had them returned. I then found that Timpsons do Dubarry sole repair at £75 with a 10 day lead time, but sent them in and the cobbler called to say he sees the same issue time and time again, specifically with Dubarrys. The issue is that the leather base of the shoe that the rubber sole is stuck to turns to almost dust so that no sole can be properly restuck to it.
I emailed Dubarry to let them know that their repair partners were letting them down, but had no response from Dubarry.

She treated me with an outmost respect and helped me in a most graceful way. I am so so grateful for her support. She has always excellently and instantly answered! Her efforts have gone beyond believe.
I have to Thank her also for being so committed to an extraordinary customer service! I really appreciate how interested Ms Donna/Dubarry are in making a customers feel special. It makes a big difference in this world and specially for me! I enjoy the happyness She/Dubarry have created in helping me! Haven't felt so happy for a long time.

Absolutely outstanding products and service. I have worn Dubarry shoes (various styles of boating shoes) for over 30 years, and never have I been disappointed.
The Dubarry Ireland site is fantastic! I even had a pair of shoes delivered the day after I played the order.

My husband bought me a pair of Dubarry boots last year and almost immediately the metal emblem fell off. I contacted yourselves and you sent me a link to speak to the company who would repair them, so I contacted them, even though I thought your customer service would have assisted, and they asked for a photograph, which I sent back immediately and now nothing. I've not heard a thing back even though I've sent further emails. Firstly, this is not the best quality of boot if parts are falling off with hardly any wear especially due to the cost of them. Secondly, what sort of service is it when your going from pillar to post with no contact and thirdly after reading previous comments I really hope I'm not expected to pay for the emblem when it should not have fallen off within such a short amount of use.
Would I buy these boots again? No I wouldn't.

What a terrible response from Dubarry to my comment about their boots !
New, means new - it does not matter where I purchased these boots from, they were unused when I got them.
The sad fact is I have wasted over £200.00 on these boots.
Dubarry - it’s about time you woke up to the poor quality of product that you are providing - you must be ignorant beyond words to dismiss all the negative reviews from people who feel they have been ripped off by purchasing a product not fit for purpose !!!
Rubbish expensive boots.
I purchased the Wexford boots as new second hand and today as my partners did, both soles have come apart. I have worn these boots a maximum of 20 times !
They were still expensive second hand and I certainly won’t be buying another pair !
Not fit for purpose !

Used their ‘approved’ boot repair company in the uk. Was informed there may be delays of 6-8 weeks for boots to be returned….. nearly 11 weeks on and numerous apologies from both Dubarry and their approved repairer we are still waiting. No sign of goods being returned and nearly £100 out of pocket. Shocking customer service. Extremely disappointed, would not recommend.

If you had asked me 4 years ago what I thought to Dubarry boots I would have said they were the best in the world. My first pair of Dubarry boots I had for 8 years and they were well worn with the very occasional wax and polish. I bought them from a country show where a chap was standing in a bucket of water with an old pair on and proving their resilience and durability.
Eventually my boots had to be replaced and I spent £400 on a new pair. They lasted 13 months!! When I rang to complain about leaks and cracked leather uppers, I was told the boots were out of warranty and that I had not looked after them well enough.
Stupidly I bought a second pair and the same issues occur. Leaking boots and cracking leather. I polished these boots regularly and still they allow water ingress.
Dubarry boots are perfect for the city or for households who have butlers who polish them daily.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
NOT THE COMPANY THEY USED TO BE!
