Our experience is one of smooth process, clear communication and excellent results. Couldn't rate them more highly!

Like many others I was initially dubious about what sort of result I could get on a reduction on my business rates, but I have to say I had an excellent and very rapid outcome on the appeal. Within a couple of weeks I had a payment from the council and even taking the invoice amount into the equation, so much better off than I would have been. I can only fully recommend Dunlop Heywood.

The process was seamless from start to finish. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and always available to answer any questions I had. I appreciated their attention to detail and the personalized approach they took to ensure I received the maximum refund possible. Was a little sceptical at first but read the t's and c's thoroughly and everything was in order. Rob came through with nearly £10k refund from Tower Hamlets council and a further reduction in our business rate. Would definitely use again.

When I originally received the letter from Dunlop Heywood, I thought I haven't got time for this. It'll probably be a ballache and the claim won't be successful. How wrong I was!
The entire process was easy, they did all the hard work and got us a big rebate we weren't even aware we were due. Paul Halliday managed our case and he was excellent and a really nice guy as well. I can highly recommend!

Dunlop Heywood managed to renegotiate my business rates showing I had overpaid by 780£ and owed nothing for the rest of the year. This effectively saved our small arts business, in which 2/3 of our expenses are covered via donations and our margins are non-existent.

They then agreed to work with me further on splitting their fee into 3 payments, as the squeeze right now on everyone is incredibly tight, and we are struggling on all fronts. Thanks to DH, we are still here.

The one suggestion I have for customers is to read the fine print: you are agreeing to pay as a fee 30% of the total reduction they achieve for you, and you are meant to pay this within 21 days of the reduction going through.

If they get you a big reduction, like they did me, your 30% is still a very large sum. As there is no way to know what sort of reduction they can get you ahead of time, there is no way to budget for what you may owe.

If you are reaching out because your business rates are causing peril to your business, it is a good idea to lay something by to pay your bill with.

The relief was large, the sticker shock of the cost of that relief was also large.

The onus is on the consumer: be prepared to pay the bill when it comes due.

All of that said, DH were fast, professional, patient, and incredibly helpful and respectful when we were in a very difficult situation.

I was unsure what to do when Dunlop Heywood approached us, however the entire process was easy and stress free, they did all the hard work and got us a rebate which we never would have done ourselves.
