5 Stars for an unique design and excellent clear screen which make this an excellent 6.3" reader. I think that the dial does add another dimension to how interact with the device.
It does run Android 15 and has Google play store installed, what I really liked is the clear UI they have developed e.g. a minimalist style for the app icons and a settings menu in centre of the screen and clearly labeled.
If you are looking for a pocket able 6" reader then this is worth a looking at.

I like the form factor, but held back by a lack of flexibility and some aspects are gimicky. I bought the Durobo Krono for approx £250 to test a smaller form E-Reader, having recently purchased a chinese android full colour e-ink option from Bigme (B7) for £120.

All in all I like the form-factor for being more portable and easier to use in one hand, that said - the software limits a few aspects of android which doesn't happen on the Bigme, no option for Screensaver / show the cover of your book when on standby is a biiiig negative for me - you're forced to look at some naff quotes which sort of turns you off picking up the device - the Bigme has the option to upload ANY png or similar image and it displays making it a lot more 'pick-up-able' and for something that could be added easily would make me review the score to 4/5 - that said i haven't seen an update rolling out since I got it 2 months ago so not sure if they're even adding/developing the software. The Scroll wheel which I thought would be a nice tactile addition is positioned in such a way that you can't really use it one handed and is not tactile / clicky enough to actually use for reading books - it tends to either not register a turn, or registers too much and skips a couple of pages which means it's just annoying and ties you to using Durobo's case. All in all I like the formfactor but i'm sure there will be other small android ereaders coming shortly and for the price it's not quite the polished perfect design it's sold as - NB I was having some issues getting books on, on the go - but find the best way is to install G-Drive or similar cloud storage and transfer epubs/pdfs that way.

I assume that most of the use case would be offline. Therefore, it will be great if
In build in reading app,
1. Having a dictionary in Read app instead of AI function cos it must run online
2. the remarks and highlights can be exported
3. Sort by latest open
4. Show the book by book name
For spark app, hope it can support speed to text function instead of using AI
5. the user can set the app in login page
6. DuRoBo AI is good idea if it can run offline, otherwise it can be replaced by third party AI app
7. Add most use case of the Breathing Lights

Most usage scenarios are offline, so prioritize offline-capable features over those requiring an internet connection or online AI.
For the built-in Read app :
1. Include a built-in offline dictionary directly in the Read app, rather than relying on the AI function (which requires an online connection).
2. Allow exporting of highlights, notes, and remarks (e.g., to text files, PDF, or other apps).
3. Add a sorting option for books/libraries by "latest opened" / most recently read.
4. Display books primarily by their title/book name.
For the Spark app (voice/note-taking app):
* Replace or supplement AI-based features with a native/offline speech-to-text (voice-to-text) function to enable reliable dictation without needing online AI processing.
Additional suggestions for login page:
1. Allow users to set/customize the default app (or launcher behavior) directly from the login screen/page.
2. The DuRoBo AI (Libby AI or similar on-device assistant) is a good concept if it can run fully offline. If it requires an internet connection, consider replacing it with support/integration for third-party offline AI apps or local models.
For Breathing Lights (the ambient/reminder lighting feature):
Add or expand support for the most common use cases, such as:
* Gentle pulsing reminders to encourage reading sessions or daily goals.
* Relaxation/ambient modes during reading or focus time.
* Customizable patterns, colors, or schedules tied to productivity/reading habits (beyond just the current reading-goal reminders).
