I am writing this publicly because I have exhausted all private channels and received nothing but categorical refusals.

In July 2025, I paid €2,600 to ZIGURAT Global Institute of Technology for enrollment in their MSc in AI in Architecture and Construction. After months of silence from the institution, I made an additional payment of €2,000 in February 2026 to secure my place. Zigurat reversed the second payment but kept my initial €2,600 and rejected my enrollment – without allowing me to attend a single lesson, access any course material, or receive any service whatsoever.

When I formally requested a refund, I was told the fee had been "forfeited" to the institution. No justification. No service rendered. Just €2,600 taken and kept.

To make matters worse, this very month, Zigurat has been sending me invitations to register for their BIM Management course – proving they have my contact details and are actively marketing to me, yet refusing to return the money they already took.

I travelled from China to Kenya in April 2026 to seek help from their local representative, ADCC International East Africa LTD (Unit 17, 3rd Floor, Park Office Suites, Parkland Road, Nairobi). Instead of offering a resolution, they simply referred me back to Zigurat in Barcelona – a complete runaround that wasted my time and money.

To be clear: ADCC International East Africa LTD is Zigurat's official partner in Kenya, established to "allow Kenyan architects and civil engineers to have access to Zigurat's master's programs". Yet when a student actually needed help, they passed the buck.

I am sharing this to warn prospective students – especially those in Africa and beyond – to be very careful before sending money to Zigurat. If they can take €2,600, deny you admission, give you nothing in return, and then call it "forfeited," what guarantee do you have that your investment is safe?

I have now filed a formal complaint with the Catalan Consumer Agency (Agència Catalana del Consum) in Spain and am exploring all available legal avenues.

To ZIGURAT and ADCC International East Africa LTD: If you are reading this, you still have a chance to do the right thing. Return the €2,600 you took for a service you never provided.

To fellow students: If you have had a similar experience, I would like to hear from you. No one should go through this alone.

I had a mixed experience with this master's program (Máster Internacional en Construcción Sostenible y Circular). The content is relevant and aligned with current topics like sustainability and circularity. However, the organization and student support did not meet expectations, especially for an international program.
One major issue was the final thesis defense. Before enrolling, I explicitly raised my concerns about the time difference from Sydney. I was reassured over a video call that this would not be an issue because the program was international, with students from all over the world, including Oceania, and that they were flexible in accommodating these situations. Despite this, I was later assigned a 2:00 am (Sydney time) defense on a weekday, with no alternative offered. To be able to attend, I had to take a day off work and adjust my sleep schedule to present in the middle of the night. This was the only way to avoid losing 10% of my final grade, placing students in certain time zones at a clear disadvantage.
I also experienced issues with group work. I ended up taking on most of the workload due to a lack of contribution and availability from other group members, and decided to continue independently from November to January. During that time, I received no guidance on how this decision would affect my final project. Only in January, after I had already been working independently for months, was I informed that I needed to formally request not to have a mentor because mentorship was only available to students working in groups. This requirement had never been communicated beforehand.
While ZIGURAT mentions having provided support, my experience was different. The flexibility offered consisted mainly of changing my TFM group after months of working independently, and I ultimately attended the defense because there was no real alternative if I wanted to receive my full grade.
Overall, these issues significantly impacted my experience. I would expect a more structured, transparent, and globally responsive approach from a program that positions itself as international.

The Parametric Design with Visual Programming course is amazing! Very qualified professors, interesting subject and an amazing option for those who want to explore programming as a way of building new projects and working with data in AEC.

Realicé el postgrado de Programación visual y no me arrepiento para nada. En el se ve el método para aplicar herramientas como Grasshopper, Dynamo, Power BI, para diseño paramétrico, obtención y análisis de datos para casos reales. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Una gran experiencia formativa. El master combina teoría y practica de la mejor forma, lo recomiendo a cualquiera que quiera dar un paso profesional importante.

Enrolling for the Master’s in Global BIM Management in Civil Engineering and GIS with Zigurat Institute of Technology has been one of the most rewarding professional decisions of my career.

Coming from a civil and structural engineering background, I wanted a programme that would bridge my practical site experience with the fast-evolving world of digital construction, data-driven design, and sustainable infrastructure development. Zigurat delivered exactly that — and more.

The curriculum was globally relevant yet deeply practical, covering BIM implementation, project coordination, digital twin concepts, GIS integration, and collaborative workflows across the AEC industry. Good place to shape your future! I've successfully finished an online master's in smart city management here. The program was a good balance between innovation and traditional urban studies. I've gained valuable knowledge from the top experts in the field, met and connected with like-minded people all around the world.
However, studies lacked initial depth due to its online teaching methodology and short duration.
