Shockingly bad customer service
After having liked the Eargos I bought in 2019, my experience with Eargo 6 purchased in 2024 could not have been more different. It's not that the charging case was defective and the hearing aids often failed to initialize; that can happen. (They haven't worked at all for the past six weeks.) What's been infuriating is a.) that when I called them to get a replacement under warranty, they put me off several times until they finally admitted they don't have replacements in stock and I'll be put on a waiting list; and b.) they keep sending me automated emails asking me in increasingly aggressive tones ("Final notice!") to send them back my existing hearing aids without actually first sending me the replacements. When I called customer service, they helpfully said: Oh just ignore those, they're automated.

I got my Eargo few weeks ago. I use it not every day because I just have a very mild hearing loss. I use it when I watch TV or when I attend Sunday Worship Services. I picked Eargo hearing aid because it is small and unnoticeable. However, I do have the problem of itchiness of my ear canals which discourages me from wearing it for long period of time. (Just wonder if there is any solution for the problem) Other than that, I like it small, can adjust its volume and programs through the use of its app on my phone. Overall, it is a good hearing aid.

My Eargo 7 OTC Hearing Aids have been awesome and a perfect solution for my hearing loss. The customized settings and ease of adjusting the Hearing Aids to the environment Iâm in have allowed me to get used to using them immediately. I tried inner and outer ear Hearing Aids in the past and returned them for a multitude of reasons. Customer Service is easy to reach and has been helpful in answering initial set-up questions. The App has all the ongoing needed info along with videos. Highly Recommend.

I have been struggling with moderate hearing loss and tinnitus for several years now, and at only 40 years old I had my mind made up that I am simply too young to even look into hearing aids. My assumption was that the only options were hearing aids with an unsightly battery behind the ear, and I just couldn't bring myself to be seen in public wearing them. As a result I became reclusive, depressed, and miserable on a daily basis. I dreaded going to parties, restaurants, or even seeing a friend pull out a speaker at a small gathering to play music knowing that I'd no longer be able to hear.

In my personal experience, I am also finding near complete relief from tinnitus when I wear them, which was not even on my radar as something these might resolve. They are comfortable and secure in the ear to the point I legitimately forget I am wearing them; and with 16 hours of battery life, I am good to go for the entire day living my life without these holding me back in any way at all. My confidence is back. I am seeking social interaction again. It is not an exaggeration to say that these have given me a new lease on life.
If you are struggling with mild to moderate hearing loss, I assure you that you will not regret giving Eargo 7 a try. You have nothing to lose, and it could be one of the greatest investments you will ever make in yourself and your well being.

I am liking my Eargo 7's. I am truly enjoying the comfort, sometimes forgetting I have them in.
One of the things I like the most is the availability of support. A few people here suggested I buy locally, but I am having much better service through Eargo than I received from my previous audiologist. Their specialist "Fine tuned" my devices remotely. I love the same day service I received.
I also understand that hearing aids aren't a "perfect" solution, but they sure help. I'm adjusting to sounds I haven't heard in a long time. Understanding conversatons has been much better, too. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and support.
Best Customer Service - Hands Down
Eargo is a great company with a great product. On the occasions when I've needed their customer service team, they've been quickly responsive and highly professional. They always seek to ensure a positive customer service experience and total satisfaction.
I had owned the Eargo Max and should have learned.
I had owned the Eargo Max and it had completely died well before the the end of its second year. I hung on using another OTC unit until I was again eligible to use my insurance to cover most of the cost. This time around I got the Eargo 6, after being told by the company that improvements had been made. Unfortunately, I should have followed my original instinct and gone elsewhere. But I went back to Eargo. And initially they worked fine. But during my first year of ownership, I had to have two units replaced. These were done under warranty, and again everything worked fine for a while. But four months into the second year things started going bad again. First the right unit died one day after just a few hours of use, and when I tried to recharge it the case couldn't recognize the unit and charge it. And then a few days later the case itself died. It would not take a charge and there is no way to charge either unit. Now I am out of warranty, and the only offer I have had from the company is to replace whichever unit isn't working at a cost to me of $395 per unit. Almost $1200 for the system. So right now I am left with a paperweight. Sorry, Eargo, but this time we are through.

New to hearing aids
I'm a first-time user of any type of hearing aids. After researching multiple OTC and prescription brands I decided to buy the EARGO 7 based on reviews and ratings from users and hearing care professionals. I've had my EARGO 7's for just over six weeks and I'm very happy with my purchase. In addition to noticing sounds that I haven't heard for several years, I am getting feedback from my partner that I seem to be more attentive. One other benefit I've noticed is an improvement in the level of attention I was giving to my tinnitus, to the point now I seldom notice it when wearing my Eargo devices.
I've found that by following the guidance provided by the EARGO staff and the video tutorials provided I've adapted to wearing hearing aides in the amount of time they said it would take. I noticed an improvement in my hearing immediately. It took a few days to get over having something in my ears. Initially i felt some itching and was conscious of having the devices in my ears. Over the course of a couple of weeks wearing them became second nature to the point that I've laid down at night several times before realizing I still had them in. Also do try the various sized and petals. After wearing the medium size for two weeks I switched to the large and found these more comfortable and more stable in my ears. Also ask the EARGO online staff for advice. They recommended the open petals for my type of hearing loss and that also made things sound very natural for me. I'm very impressed with the quality of sound I get and the way the EARGO 7's have brought so much of what I was missing back for me. What I also really love is that most people don't even know I'm wearing hearing aids unless I tell them. Even my partner has to look right into my ear to see if I am using them.

I have tried OTC hearing aids that are just amplifiers and create background feedback to the point of being only an annoyance and I could not wear them. I needed to have something to help me before I became too depressed and withdrawn from my social world.

After trying several hearing aids from other companies including spending $6000.00 for ill fitting aids and no customer service I tried Eargo 7. The fit, comfort and the service are top notch. I had a private instruction session and a webinar which were excellent on how to use their product. I had an issue with one hearing aid and called in and actually got to talk with someone immediately to reprogram the device. This person was extremely knowledgeable, polite and patient. She stayed on the line with me (approximately 20 minutes) while the hearing aid reprogrammed. That to me is excellent customer service. To anyone who hesitates about the price I can only say the quality of hearing and ease of use combined with excellent customer service and follow up is worth every penny.

Eargo has been an amazing product and an amazing company to deal with. I went through three sets of "hearing aids" before I decided to purchse Eargo SEs. I should have started with them first.
First the product. The Eargo SEs are completely in the canal of the ear (CIC) They're easy to maintain, come in a convenient carrying case that is also a charger and will recharge the Eargo SEs up to 5 times before it needs to be rechaged. At 16 hours/charge, that's 80 hours before your carrying cae/charger needs to be recharged!
The company does a live webinar with you to familiarize you with the Eargo SEs and besides a one year warranty, provides LIFETIME support...that's unheard of!
When you call support, you speak to someone, you don't go through a menu searching for the right "bot" to give you the wrong answer.
If I had one wish it would be one higher step of volume, only becsuse I didn't realize how bad my hearing was in my left ear

I would recommend Eargo 7 hearing aids.Why? Because I have received mother hen level attention from Eargo. The hearing aids are literally invisible as I have shocked many people when I show them. But even better, they really work well. My wife no longer has to yell in my ear and a happy wife brings a happy life. My right ear device became problematic and Eargo replaced it with no hesitation. I am happy with my Eargo 7 hearing aids.

Sound quality excellent
Sound quality excellent. Fit is comfortable. App is easy to follow to get everything set up. All the videos are excellent and easy to follow.
I had asked an audiologist which of the in the canal OTC hearing aids I should get, and she said Eargo. That made my decision easy (been considering a hearing aid for months but way too hard to come to a final decision from reading all the articles/reviews). As importantly, the 45-day free trial let me feel confident about jumping in.
A Long-Time Happy Customer
First, they make great hearing aids that improve with every new technical generation. Second, their customer support, including professional support for personalized best usage of their hearing aids, is superb. Third, though expensive compared to the cheapie products advertised in popular media, their products are professional-grade at a fraction of the price.

My experience with the EARGO team was great. Maegan "May" was incredibly nice and very helpful up front teaching me about the product offerings. After the product was delivered, the information was very intuitive and setting up the ap was a breeze. The hearing apparatus is reliable, easy to use, the company gives great support, they are comfortable and are not too expensive. I almost got into the shower when I first started wearing them, forgetting that they were in my ear as they were so comfortable.

Iâm spending time to review Eargo hearing aids because they are a life changing product. Many of us struggle with devices that require difficult steps to use and often donât do a good job. This brand is wonderful. I like the fact that nobody sees them. They are easy to use and quick to insert, remove and place in the night charger. The company is very helpful with any learning or adjusting to your needs. They are well worth the price. I was thrilled that health insurance covered them. As we age, tasks grow harder and making sure you hear whatâs happening is very important. I would rate this company and their products as a 10!!
