I ordered a red velvet cake for a friends birthday which was amazing. It was finished wuixkly, and not being the biggest fan of cake myself I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. They were really friendly and helpful and really took the time to tailor the cake - I’d highly recommend

We were standing outside the storefront of Eat the Damn Cake in August waiting for them to open, so that I could buy two of the tote bags before returning home to the US. But they never opened. So, I saw on their website that I could make a purchase online and they would be delivered to my house. A couple days later, the transaction was cancelled, and I never received the bags or an explanation as to why. These tote bags would’ve been the perfect souvenir from London for myself, and a very close friend of mine. Even with what looked like a seamless transaction at the time, I was left very disappointed.

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the unethical and manipulative practices I experienced while employed at "Eat the Damm Cake." As a former employee, I feel compelled to share my experience and warn others about the toxic work environment that exists within this establishment.
During my time working at the bakery, I was subjected to a range of manipulative behaviors that made the work environment both mentally and emotionally taxing. The behavior I witnessed towards employees has led me to strongly advise against anyone considering working at or visiting "Eat the Damm Cake." The treatment of employees is unacceptable, and I believe it is important for potential customers and employees to be aware of the reality behind the scenes. It's crucial to work in an environment that respects its staff, fosters growth, and offers a fair and healthy workplace culture - none of which are present here.
I hope that this complaint serves as a wake-up call for the management to reevaluate their approach to both their employees and their business practices. No one should have to endure such mistreatment in order to earn a living, and I believe it is important for the public to be made aware of the toxic work environment that exists at "Eat the Damm Cake."
