I won and paid for an item on auction. Seller did not send and did not respond to my numerous messages. After the appropriate time I contacte eBay. They contacted seller on my behalf and also did not receive a reply. Ebay gave me a full refund.

It's the worst e-commerce company. They made something wrong and put the loss on the customer.

Trying to sell anything is a nightmare. I used to use it all the time 20 years ago and it was great. Now buyers can just walk away if they don’t want to pay what they bid on. Happens about 30 percent of the time. Also, can only leave positive feedback for them? Is this kindergarten where we don’t want anything negative? EBay is a joke, I’m closing my account.

I'm getting the impression..any junk people want to sell online..they stick it here...gotten a few sour deals over the years & months, especially electronic products, and only some have refunded. May have to find other mediums like Discogs, Amazon, Kijiji, etc.

Buyer beware alot of fake gold bars are being sold on Ebay.

After I finally opened my EBay Canada account less than a month ago, I keep encountering abnormal & deviant sellers on this platform.

In particular, a seller with EBay Canada user name as vipoutletcanada whom I placed & paid fully an item on Feb 13/26 with promised delivery date Feb 15-17/26 to my shipping address.

No tracking number or any shipping movement for 4 days, I then did an "order cancellation" request on Feb 16. This vipoutletcanada seller responded only after 2 days on Feb 16 & declined my request by claiming , OR LYING!!, that "item has already shipped" .

Now with a tracking number, I discovered that not only I was correct that no shipping attempt whatsoever has been made since Feb 13 but the carrier still did not have the package at all as on Feb 16.

I contacted vipoutletcanada again on Feb 16 requesting a full refund as I did not get this item & it was already late & they made no shipping attempts at all for over 4 days. I also contacted EBay Canada & after so much efforts fighting & struggling with their autobot, I was finally able to speak online with a JB person from EBay Canada who, to my understanding & in short, told me I shall get my full refund in 3 days & he would notify the seller and so on . JB assured me to "rest assure".....& EBay will make sure that I get my money back, their whatever money back guarantee, etc. confirming that no shipping at all Feb 13-16/26.

On Feb 20/26, I still not getting my money back, so I contacted & fought again with EBay autobot. This time, I was only allowed for Ebay to call me.

For about 40 minutes I was speaking to an "Acil" person from EBay over the phone. Amongst other things, "Acil" said I shall receive my full refund by no later than Feb 24/26 and that I could " throw it away", "do whatever you want" if I received some item from vipoutletcanada who not only not refunding me but carried forward the already late item shipping which I had indicated to them repeatedly that I did not want this anymore but a full refund.

I even gave this "Acil" person my compliment as a new EBay user about this policy of EBay, under the circumstance, I did not have to contact, struggle & waste more of my time to arrange an item return, if I would receive some thing from this seller at all.

I had to spend way much more time with EBay Canada when I still not getting my money back on Feb 24/26. Part of my totally frustrating email exchanges with EBay Canada on Feb 24:

No wonder EBay Canada was not letting me a second online chat with a human but a phone call that EBay Canada would not give me a copy of phone communication records or email confirm what their people had promised me on the phone as they could lie whichever way they want & have no accountability at all AS I SIMPLY CANNOT PROVE IT OTHER THAN MY OWN WORDS........

The item didn't arrive and now I have to pay 5 more for it. But eBay will not even bother to reply, they've either been very rude or repeatedly ignored me. I don't think I'm asking too much, just to pay what I would have paid had it been delivered the first time and eBay charges a lot for delivery btw.

I registered on eBay to sell one item — a watch. Within 2 hours, scammers started calling me. It has now been over a week and I receive multiple scam calls every single day. My personal data (phone number and email) was apparently leaked or scraped from eBay almost instantly after registration. I also received unsolicited purchase offers by email after simply browsing similar listings. The watch is still unsold, and I'm left dealing with constant harassment instead. eBay does nothing to protect new sellers from this. I deeply regret sharing my personal information with this platform. Not recommended.

When I tried to report the seller for not responding eBay refused to take my Complaining without any reason which make believe eBay trying to protect the seller and not the buyer
Therefore, I will not recommend eBay to any of my Friends

I called to change my phone number. Have an account there for 20 years, they just blocked my account because I can't remember the postal code. I provided 10 years of postal code, old phone number but they blocked my account.....don't loose your time with EBAY.

Despite being both a buyer and seller for years and having 100% positive seller reviews, eBay cancelled my account, banned me from future selling or buying and has held onto my sales proceeds for the last 5 months. When I asked why, I was told that I did "something" that endangered users and violates policies, but they refused to give any details and thus denied me a chance to defend myself against their accusations. I suspect that their AI had some kind of hiccup but without the opportunity to speak with someone or even know what I had supposedly done there is no recourse for me, plus I am out of pocket for the items I sold and shipping because they insist on putting a hold on my funds for at least 6 months in case the customer demands a refund. A truly despicable organisation that has no integrity or loyalty to either their sellers or buyers. Luckily there are more and more alternatives such as Etsy. I just wish that Trustpilot would allow a zero star rating, because even one star is too much.

Of course it will depend on the seller but I had a very positive experience. Item arrived two weeks ahead of schedule.

What scam!!!! Item never arrived and then had to wait an extra day to open up an INR case, and then had to wait for another 6 days after that!!!!! What a load of BS!! Such a scam! These people should be sued to the ground! There should be legal things put into place to protect the buyer when a purchase is made!

False advertising on delivery dates!!

I have used eBay for 20 years and held a 5 star rating with perfect feedback as both a buyer and a seller. I was recently sold a pair of fake boxing gloves. This is the first time I’ve ever tried to utilize the authenticity guarantee. EBay had me return the items but then denied my refund AND did not send me back the item. I paid for the item, paid to return it to eBay and was refunded 0. I deleted my eBay account and have never been so disappointed in customer service. It’s inconvenient for me to not have eBay but I will no longer give business to eBay after this experience

Ordered razors recently and received half of my order, Ebay asked me to call the police to get a refund. eBay is a joke avoid at all costs

would not even recommend to my enemies. when you sell something you almost end up owing them there are so many fees and are so high. then when you sell something offering free shipping they hit you over a month later with the shipping fees and directly tap into your bank account that you use for them, putting it into overdraft even after you message them telling them you will cover fees by end of week, and even though you make arrangements they ignore and push the payment request through anyway creating overdraft fees. use at own risk!! better off just giving items away to strangers on the street....

This is the worst service out there. Its a pure scam. Its beyond embarrassing at this point. The customer service is terrible. Id give it 0/5 if possible

Don’t use eBay no matter what, it’s a site that will let you down

EBay decided to refund the buyer directly from my bank account
I was a 100% transaction buyer/seller for 25 years
I closed my Ebay account
Never I will return to Ebay
