The teachers and the Main office was very helpful and they really try their best to help and encourage you. I would definitely recommend YOU to do your training here. I was with them for 8 weeks and I wish I could stay for another 8 weeks lol even tried to fail but they that good it’s impossible. Learned a lot and left that building with alot of confidence and knowledge. Honestly Thank you for everything. 3 Musketeers

Recently completed an electric three phase course with MARK JARMAN at ECTA.
Firstly I’d like to point out that all the staff at ECTA are absolutely Fantastic. From the cleaner to office staff to the trainers, everyone is always positive and bubbly and genuinely good craic. My trainer mark is a credit to the business, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is a very approachable guy. He delivers his training in a professional and understanding manner and there is no such thing as a stupid question. Iv thoroughly enjoyed this course, learnt a lot and look forward to my 3rd visit in the near future.

Great training, professional level and lot of friendly people, very happy to be there 6 weeks gone so fast.

Having now completed my training qualification in smart metering and successfully passed, I can honestly say that the training team have proven that they are all enthusiastic within their training roles and including the back office, and all will do their very best to overcome any unexpected obstacles encountered during your time at their training establishment and during the six weeks away on the mentoring phase of training.
I have undertaken numerous work related courses over recent years both paid (renew or lose qualifications) and employer sponsored and can normally judge which trainers just "want to tick boxes" and finish the week off and those that have some sort of genuine interest in their subject.
I am happy to say that the E.C.T.A. team fall into the latter category.
You get what you pay for in training courses..Accepted I could have saved a small difference on a similar training course arrangement down in the south east with just a tick boxing exercise but not had any back up when a none E.C.T.A. training issue complicates things. Not to mention willingness to answer all questions thrown at them.
Well done team ECTA..
Looking forward to attending another training unit with them next summer.

I’ve been coming to ECTA for nearly 10 years now. Re-sitting my gas quals and more recently completing a level 4 in gas safety management.
Not a bad word to say, top bunch of people who make learning easy!

It is encourageing to read such glowing reports about ECTA training at Stockport who also help finding a suitable employer for their graduates. I believe the current cost for training & quaifying to install SMART METERS is some £7,440.00. However there is a saying "if it seems to good to be true - IT USUALLY IS". This statement deserves some explanation, NO NAMES - NO PACKDRILL. I know someone who is eminently qualified to retrain for a new career as a SMART METER INSTALLER but has been waiting to be placed by ECTA on one of their SMART METER courses since last December 2020 when he was successfully interviewed & passed a colour blind test approved by an independent qualified Optician. He has been dealing direct with a particular member of staff who has consistantly strung him along each month asking him to get back the following month to date with negative results. This month October 2021 he once again telephoned this ECTA member of staff only to get his answer machine but was then prompted to contact ECTA'S office number whereupon he discovered this male had left ECTA's employment in January 2021. Without knowing more detail about this person who has masqueraded as an employee of ECTA since January 2021 I cannot comment further but as a retired Police Officer a number of thoughts spring to mind. This person i know has been assured by another member of staff at ECTA that they will continue to first seek out an employer germane to the applicants post code address prior to arranging for him to undergoe their training course. To date ECTA have not come back with any progress they have made or update! A depressing state of affairs for someone currently unemployed and trying very hard to retrain for a new career!

Just completed my acs retake and was very happy with how professional but also how relaxed the course was delivered.
Would highly recommend to anyone.

Excellent training and 1sf class Instructors

I've just received my LCL Level 4 Gas Safety Management which took a little longer than I expected due to Covid causing ECTA staffing problems. Then along came Dayman Shears as my "new" mentor. From that point onwards the support was second to none - Thank You Dayman.

Have just completed QCF Level 4 gas safety management (non domestic) with Ecta. Having had a few delays along the way with covid & tutors isolating, Dayman Shears pulled out all the stops and got me over the line including squeezing in my recorded professional discussions at short notice. Thank you Dayman for all your support!

I took part in course for dual smart meters engineer and my experience was very positive. The course was conducted professionally and thorough, with both theoretical and practical knowledge. Marc and Evie made the course interactive and engaging, taking time needed to ensure everyone is in understanding of the matter. I would recommend the center to everyone eager to develop their skills - both begginers (like me) and experienced engineers.

Deliver a full training course in 12 weeks for an excellent price. Handled the coronavirus situation well. Made the learning enjoyable and friendly recommended ETCA to anyone.

ECTA training centre offer excellent facilities and excellent tutorage. Staff are really passionate about making sure you understand the concept of whatever you undertake.

The training doesn’t stop when you qualify, the doors are always open to those who are struggling out in the field, the staff will do their utmost best to make sure you’re comfortable and will offer advice to you even when you’ve completed your course.

Asking a question is no problem and they will always answer and give guidance where needed. Once you’ve qualified and out in the real world in any given situation, someone or another will give you advice if you ask. They also prepare you well for the exams.

Their methods of teaching such as mock tests, practicals and powerpoint presentations are great, a mix of learning to make sure it’s drilled into you, and I assure you it’ll stick.

The information you will learn is all relevant to your chosen path. It’ll all process better when you go out there during your placement. The tutors allow students of different abilities to learn at the same rate.

I’m overwhelmed in qualifying in smart metering, a career I’m going to take on with open arms. I’m really happy with my progress and support from all tutors and assessors, without them my personal learning journey would be extremely difficult. They deserve all the gratitude and appreciation, making a difference to lives and being part of the process in changing lives for the betterment of not only self belief but long term careers. They’re very knowledgeable and supportive too as they’ve been out in the field so know exactly what to expect.

I took a leap of faith when I changed over from my previous career. The smart metering course has earned every single mark I've given it. Coming from my first week at ECTA to now, I didn't have a clue what to expect. You’ve got to trust the process and take onboard everything you’re told and I promise you it’ll change your perspective on life itself. I feel like I’ve pushed my limits and have done what I would’ve thought I could never do and that’s all down to the team at ECTA.

A heartfelt thank you to Evie, Mark, Archie, Kaya, Andy, Dennis to name a few who have made their mark on helping me achieve greatness and pass the course. I’m truly grateful.

Again, I cannot thank enough to all who taught me whose anecdotes helped embed the learning and provide a valuable insight into the smart metering industry. They always go the extra mile to support everyone to achieve their objectives. Without their strong teaching skills and their God given ability to impact knowledge on people, I’d be completely overwhelmed. I am honestly indebted to my tutors for my success.

I feel more confident that I made the right choice. I would definitely recommend you to train at ECTA, it’s worth every penny into investing in your future.

I’m very impressed with the training at the establishment and would highly recommend to all to look into ECTA and what they offer. I don’t regret a single day commuting to Stockport, it’s been amazing, this is down to the facilities, equipment and professionalism of the instructors.

Training at the centre itself has been perfect, everything has been well organised and explained well especially during the current pandemic. Everything was delivered to a very high standard, if you’re looking for a family like training centre, ECTA will make you feel at home.

Without their help, myself and my 3 colleagues would be in a very different position today to where we are now.
Not only are they dedicated and professional training organisation but the staff there are a genuinely super group of people who have gone out of their way to help in any way they can.
Both the theoretical and practical elements of the training are really well put together and presented in a way that helps you work towards the final exams making the whole course really clear and manageable.
I am now looking forward to a new career in the smart meter install industry and would not hesitate to recommend this facility and thank all the team once again for all their help.
