Horrible
The receptionist told me that the consultation (less then half an hour) was £170 but they charged ne for £185.
After the consultation I had a scan (No even 4 minutes) but the doctor didn't told me that I have to pay more for this, and she told me things that I already know.
Anyway I payed totally £435 for 35 minutes that I was there.
The receptionist put the wrong price at the payment time and after 2 months they took £155 from my bank account without my agree...unbelievable
Staff rude,no one take care of you and they are interested just about the money...

Fast and very friendly service from a professional team. From initial diagnosis, xrays, a scan and follow-up consultation took 8 days, all appointments at our convenience. Excellent experience.

I attended the Edinburgh Clinic for cataract surgery performed by Dr Andrew Tatham.
I self funded my treatment as I felt that my nhs wait of several months was having a detrimental effect on my health.
My experience was positive and has made a significant improvement to not only my vision but also my general well-being. I have greater than 20/20 vision, no longer suffer from glare and headaches and have resumed rowing. I have no doubt that my successful surgery can be attributed to the skill and expertise of my surgeon and care provided by the team.
I was treated with professionalism at every stage from clinic visits to post operative care.
I would highly recommend the Edinburgh Clinic .

Really lovely staff. So friendly and welcoming. Made me feel so at ease. We had a few giggles too with some of the procedures!

I attended The Edinburgh clinic for an MRI scan this morning and was very impressed with the friendly staff. Lindsay, the lady who carried out my scan had a super manner and talked me through the whole procedure in a very reassuring manner!

I was referred by the NHS to this clinic for varicose vein treatment. As a general summary the experience was one of all round excellence. Walking in I was met with professionalism at the reception area. During assessment and then the procedure, the nursing staff were professional caring and friendly. The consultant surgeon inspired confidence, with his explanation of the procedure and what would be involved. This followed through on the day of the procedure with exactly the same caring professional attitude being shown by all members of the operating theatre staff, including the anaesthetist and the recovery nurses. After the operation I was looked after extremely well with everything that I needed to do after leaving the clinic explained patiently and in detail. I have the greatest respect for all medical and nursing staff, whether in the public or private sector but I can certainly, without hesitation, recommend the Edinburgh Clinic.....well done!!

A diagnosis of cataract prompted me to seek lens replacement, hoping for better vision than I have ever had in my life ( myopic from 5 years old). Mr Jonathan Ross recommended trifocal lens implants, and I am absolutely delighted with the result. I am driving happily, I can read and thread a needle without correction. The procedures were quick, with only minor discomfort, and everyone in the team made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending the Edinburgh Clinic and especially Mr Ross.

I went to see Louise at the Edinburgh Clinic for a consultation about lens replacement surgery in November 2018.
From the first consultation, through to the operations (performed by Dr Tint) and, crucially, the level of attention and concern given to the aftercare service, the whole team were absolutely fantastic.
There was absolutely no pressure on me to go through with the procedure. In fact the advice struck me as being ultra-cautious. I found that re-assuring.
The set-up itself deosn’t feel overly clinical, the atmosphere is extremely professional but relaxed and friendly too.
The procedure (two operations) was swift and easy. The nursing staff and surgery team were very skilled at taking the edge off any nerves I had.
But perhaps the most impressive part of the service was the aftercare. Dr Tint texted and called me in the days following the ops to check how my vision was progressing and answer any questions. It was clear that I could call him at any time should I feel the need.
I’m pleased to say, ten days after the second op, my vision is making rapid progress. It’ll probably take another couple of weeks to settle down completely but it’s already pretty much where I hoped it would be.
Thanks so much to Louise, Dr Tint and all the team. Having the surgery was an unsettling thought, but they made it an easy experience.
The staff are a credit to the clinic and should all take pride in that.

I visited the Edinburgh Clinic in September 2018 for a consultancy with Dr Tint in the hope I could undergo refractive lens replacement surgery. I was very short sighted with a prescription of -18.75 in one eye and -17.75 in the other. I wore rigid gas permeable contact lenses daily which I’d worn since I was 16 (now 47) and these would make my eyes dry and tired on an almost daily basis. I also wore extremely thick glasses (in the confines of my own home) to give my eyes a break from the lenses. I had worn very thick NHS glasses in a myriad of different colours since I was 5 years old which wasn’t always easy as a child but certainly led to a strong resilience as an adult!!

The clinic itself is light and airy and has a relaxed ambience so I felt at ease immediately and all the staff that I came into contact with were very kind and went out of their way to help me.

I met with Craig initially who assists Dr Tint. He was very approachable very knowledgeable and also very patient. He took the time to listen and fully answer my barrage of questions.

I then saw Dr Tint who candidly discussed the risks and the benefits of the procedure . Because of my high myopia and other complexities relating to my prescription there were no guarantees that I would not need a small prescription for distance/reading glasses after the procedure but I was very happy to accept this as I knew I’d be able to own a pair of nice glasses for the first time in my life. I also found out at this consultancy that I had cataracts forming in both eyes which I had been blissfully unaware of but had recently noticed an increasing glare whilst driving at night.

I booked to have the procedure carried out in my right eye first. It was completely painless and was over in around twenty minutes. The next morning my eye didn’t look or feel like anything had been done to it but I knew even though my pupil was still dilated that I could see better. I was able to get up and make breakfast two days later with only the right eye and no contact lens in the left. Amazing!! Ten days later my optician confirmed I had 20/20 vision in this eye. Three weeks later I had the left lens replaced and again 20/20 vision. Incredibly, I will never need to wear contact lenses again thanks to surgical expertise of Dr Tint.

I now only require to use a pair of +2 reading glasses and nothing else. I can’t believe how well I can see. My vision is considerably clearer and sharper than it was with contact lenses or glasses and my vision at night for driving which had been a concern to me is no longer an issue.

This really is a dream come true for me and a thousand thank yous would never be enough to express the gratitude I feel to Dr Tint, Craig and Louise and everyone else who helped make this possible. You’ve changed my life forever. Thank you!! 😊

Great service, all the nurses and doctors were friendly and helpful. I wasn’t in for long which was surprising.

14/11/18. I was due to get my operation on the NHS next month. I was referred by NHS to the Edinburgh Clinic, i had my operation done hassle free. The clinic is very well presented, staff were very helpful and friendly. They made sure i understood everything. It was a very pleasant experience i was at ease for start to finish. Thank you Edinburgh clinic.

I approached the clinic after a recommendation from a friend with a view to having PRP treatment on a hip. I was in considerable discomfort, my foot had turned in and the way that I was walking was causing pain in my knee. I have since realised that I had also developed a stoop.
I had waited 8 months to see a NHS surgeon with regard to replacing the hip but he was not keen to do this as I ride horses and he considered that there was a good chance of dislocation , should I have this surgery. I had experience of PRP through the veterinary world and, after a friend recommended the clinic I decided to try it. By now, just 2 months since seeing the surgeon, I was virtually unable to ride, and my other loves, golf and walking were also becoming impossible.
Mr White and I discussed the details around PRP and I decided to try and see if this would help. What I hadn't expected was to wake up totally pain free the following morning!
Since then, things have improved day by day. Golf? Check. Walking? Well, I spent 3 hours walking around Cordoba this weekend- cobbled streets and quite hilly. No pain at all from the hip. Unbelievable.
I had thought that the riding was the one disappointment as this was still painful, but I rode last week and, as I mounted, realised that I was almost pain free. Things on this front are improving as well.

The procedure was no problem. No discomfort at all, and I was able to drive home 60 miles with no trouble after the treatment. This was at the end of September, so I wait to see if there are any further improvements and how long the results will last. For now, I am delighted. I was taking pain killers at least 3 times a day, every day. Now? Nothing.
I am really happy with this outcome, and the treatment that I received at the Edinburgh Clinic.

I attended the clinic yesterday my surgeon was Professor McNiell. Everything was fantastic I was nervous about general anestheic but they made me feel very relaxed thanks to all the people that looked after me and a special mention to Ali .

I found everyone to be very friendly, skilled and efficient, the examination through to the surgery was excellent. I am completely delighted with my result and only wish i had plucked up the courage to have it completed sooner, if nothing else, i would have saved a fortune on contact lenses. I have no hesitation in recommending The Clinic, Craig and Dr Tint to anyone and everyone.

Would have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Tint and his colleagues. All staff from reception team to Dr Tint were very welcoming. A special mention to Craig Macdonald who was the first to discuss procedure with me and immediately put me at ease and was very kind and helpful throughout. Can't praise highly enough Dr Tint who performed my procedure (I was not the simplest of cases!) I am delighted with result which is due to his expertise and care.

AMAZING. I had severe myopia (minus 13) and Dr Tint performed refractive lens/cataract surgery on me. I am delighted with the results and genuinely didn’t know people could see this good. I cannot praise him/his ability enough and he put me totally at ease throughout the painless procedure. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Tint. He has changed my life forever and I will be eternally grateful to him for that. The clinic team were all very friendly and I cannot fault the aftercare.

You have emailed me asking for a review. I sent a review last month, which you posted, and my opinion has not changed in the slightest!

Can't recommend enough. Had procedure today. Staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Everything from the procedure to the aftercare was explained thoroughly and clearly. Thank you to all staff involved in my operation and aftercare.
