Absolute joke of a company I ordered some Mary Jane’s style shoes I think I paid about £40 for them but they were meant to be a lot more than that double that I think… they arrived in a plastic bag and they look like they’re made out of felt and plastic cheap ..nasty ..nothing like I’ve ordered quality is awful. They’ve definitely come from China screams of Temu on a really bad day. It took ages to arrive also I couldn’t even be bothered to deal with the palaver of a refund. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬

DO NOT BUY! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. Extremely poor quality and a nightmare to returnI Clothing was not was even close to the photo or what I expected.
When I tried to return, I spent almost one month NOT being able to. First, they represented themselves as NEW YORK but I had to return to CHINA with postage starting at $24.95. The very friendly (and totally inefficient) customer service continued to offer a 35% refund and I could keep the clothes. It was a long, frustrating ordeal. I eventually settled for a return of 45% because of the high cost and very long time to return and (maybe) get a full refund. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. DO NOT BUY FROM ELLA JAMES BOUTIQUE. THEY ARE A SCAM!

Oh, my! I ordered a jacket in XL, and when it arrived, it is marked XL but fits like a Small. Instead of their “money back guarantee”, I was told I could keep the jacket but would need to send $12.50 to cover shipping. Assuming it was a single jacket that was mismarked, I ordered another one. It, too, is equally small! But guess what? Now they are offering a paltry 10% discount to spend MORE money with them? Ridiculous!! SCAM… SCAM… SCAM!!!! STAY AWAY!

I unfortunately fell for this joke of a company as I purchased a dress from the website on September 21, 2025 and received the product on October 8, 2025. What I saw on the website, was NOT what was delivered. What I got was a cheap as sh*t shapeless dress, nothing compared to what I ordered. I took one look at it and wanted to send it back but when I tried to initiate a return I was told shipping was my responsibility and that I would have to pay at least $25 to send it back to ASIA. When I looked up the reviews, I learned that others had gone through the process only to be told that the package never arrived, leaving them ripped off of the refund with the added insult of paying them to do it with the shipping charges. I should have investigated this scam of a company before purchasing. Lesson learned. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS CRAPPY, DISHONEST, ILLEGITIMATE WEBSITE! Hopefully more people will see these reviews and not be scammed like I was. The dress I received is a joke and unwearable.

Ordered three casual shirts large…..took weeks to arrive….fit like a small to medium. Asked to return for larger size they said keep the shirts, send $24.50 to offset shipping and the would send a coupon equal to my original cost. Wish I’d read the reviews before ordering! Crap!

This company is a scam! They promise a refund within 30 days on their website. However, they tell you when you contact them they can't give you a refund due to high costs of shipping, etc. They finally offered me a 10% refund of the cost after multiple emails. The quality of the item was terrible. The size medium is more like size extra-small. I am incredibly disappointed. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

This company is a total scam. The fabric is closer to cardboard than clothing fabric and there is no way to get your money back despite what the website says, they will not take returns.

I would give a minus star if I could. Ordered a coat, which arrived weeks later, didn’t even come close to fitting as described, the material was subpar. Attempted to return it and got several run around emails, offering me different levels of discounts on a new item, but never a refund. Do not order from them

I ordered a jacket and was alarmed to find its cut did not at all correspond to the sizing guide offered on the website. Bust size was described as 43.3 inches but was instead 35.75 inches. If this was not bad enough when I attempted to return the item, despite the promise of a full refund stated in their return policy they offered me only 10% cashback. After several rounds of discussion their offer increased to 35% which still did not adhere to their policy. I strongly urge consumers to steer far away from this company.

I don’t even want to give them one star!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! They should be put out of business. The quality of the clothing is absolutely awful. Then I have emailed them probably 12 times and then they said they would give me 10% of what I paid for my order and I could give away the items or gift it to someone🤯To say I have learned my lesson is a understatement!! Two jackets that could fit a toddler. This shop is not in NY as stated it’s in ASIA

Just don't buy from them. Poor quality and incorrect sizing.

I ordered a jacket and was disappointed in the quality when it arrived, and it's absolutely not sized according to my expectations. Perhaps I missed a sizing chart on their site, but their "large" could have been called a small or a medium at best.

But the worst part is that when I tried to return the jacket they told me "return shipping can cost up to $24.95 and may take 2–3 months due to customs clearance."

They offered me a 10% refund if I wanted to donate the jacket somewhere.

I could have checked their return policy more carefully; it's toward the bottom of the page that they say I should expect to pay at least $25 to return an item. Nowhere do they mention that it can take months for a return to complete.

I'll stick to Amazon.com or retailers with physical locations nearby where returns are simpler and free.

If I could give zero stars I would. First, the product is cheap and poorly made. It is not sized based on the info on the website and is so small I don't know adults who could wear it. If you then attempt to return, you are met with emails offering you 10% refunds to "donate" the product since the shipping back to China will be a hassle. Wehn pressed, they admit that the shipping will START at $25 and then someone will review the product to see if you actually will get a full refund. Do not buy from this company. It is a scam and they are awful.

I would give zero stars if I could. Based in Boston, called Ella & James New York, and you can't find an address to file a complaint with BBB. Same experience as everyone on here- they send you garbage that looks nothing like the picture, and then when you try to return it, they offer you 10% of your money and try to gaslight you with how returns are terrible for the environment. Second offer, 20%, third offer, 30%. This is what is posted on their website as return policy that they clearly violate regularly:

Falsely advertising a store in NY then when you order it comes from overseas and what you get is horrible quality and not even close to what you thought you ordered. Saying 30day money back guarantee however when you try to get a refund they don’t respond
