Great tasting biltong made with simple, natural ingredients. I like the texture as it's softer than jerky and has a satisfying meaty flavour. A nice portable snack to keep in the bag or the car, and it helps me hit my protein goals every day in a tasty way.

Great high protein snacking options

I'll admit I'm a massive carnivore, and not always wanting a high sugar snack, that's where this Biltong comes in.

Absolutely perfect when you need a snack, high protein & tastes amazing, a small amount leaves you satisfied for hours.

I've bought the original biltong 40g many times from a local shop and it is quite tasty and full of protein. Easy to chew and a great snack given it is low in carbs.

Finding a convenient, savoury snack that isn’t loaded with hidden sugars or artificial junk isn't easy but Ember Snacks has solved that problem. Their biltong is pure quality—just clean, air-dried silverside beef with simple seasoning. With over 20g of protein per pack and around 110 calories, it's the perfect snack. It feels premium, tastes great, and the seasoning is spot on without being overly salty. The texture is perfect—tender and succulent, not chewy, dry or leathery like standard jerky. It’s packed with flavour, totally satisfying, and has zero sugar. The fact that it's made from high-quality British beef makes it a winner for me. 

I do love a bit of Biltong, and this Biltong is yummy. Nice choice of flavours (the Lea and Perrin is moreish) and the variety pack gives a good choice and range of flavours.

Good taste for the Biltong, it's chewy and has a good bite at the same time. Easy snack on the go or even as aperitif.

A really good quality, top grade biltong. One of the best biltong I've tried. Really tasty, not too chewy, low in sugar and packs a protein punch. Great range of flavours, with my favourite being the Lea and Perrins. Fantastic as a guilt free treat.

I eat biltong every day because it's an incredibly convenient dense form of protein that's really satisfying in terms of flavour and satisfying my appetite. Ember is incredibly good quality being leaner (less fat/gristle) and more tender than many of the other brands I've tried.

I’ve seen how this company makes the product in Earls Coln and it’s not how described. Meat bought in from supplier and they mix different grades of meat so the product goes further and the management on site is terrible. Avoid

The beef jerky had 0 taste. Had a chemical aftertaste and definitely wasn't worth 3.50. Even the texture was disgusting. Don't waste your money on this!

Although the taste wasn't to bad it was very thinly slice and not much to get your teeth into and only lasted 30 seconds so for £3.70 not much satisfaction

I've tried many of products like this and this is one of the best. Many have chewy bits you have to spit out but not in the Ember products. Great stuff & keep up the good work!

Best Biltong I've ever found. I tried a variety of Biltong companies, but Ember came out tops for me. Tastes great. British and Irish Beef. No dodgy ingredients. Genuinely ethical company (I appreciate every company is trying to convince us that they're ethical but you have to REALLY prove it to get B-Certified). Credit to the company. I get mine on a rolling subscription from Amazon. I have half a packet every morning with a handful of mixed nuts. Tastes great together, it's quick, naturally high protein and keeps me going till lunch. (Forget protein bars, they're a chemical soup). I could do this for the rest of my life.

Absolutely delicious, perfect post-gym snack, 50% protein and no added sugar. Especially recommend the Tingly Teds, just the right amount of heat!!

I’ve tried a few biltong brands, but this is by far the best. I’m in love with the taste, it’s delicious, made with top-quality ingredients, and the perfect protein snack to satisfy my appetite. It feels great to support a small British business instead of the big guys!

Mould in your product!

Disgusting food full of mould! Don't buy this product, thank god we spotted this before biting it, I hope we don't get food poisoning from this garbage.

Salamis ok but customer service non existent. They just ignore emails.

I love jerky having tried many from across the world and many different animals. I'm sorry to have to say this but Ember is the worst one I've tasted so far. The recipe just isn't up their compared to so many others.

Although I adore their venison charcuterie the company itself leaves a lot to be desired. After discovering this product I soon realised I was buying volume quantities at retail prices. Lo and behold its possible to order straight from the company. Great right?

At first it was as I had 3x250g bags delivered every few weeks. Until one week my order didn't arrive. And then another order was missed. And another. Upon inquiring it turns out that Ember had cancelled my standing order without bothering to tell me.

I can understand having to cancel if the product on offer was no longer available but to do so without even bothering to inform me is highly disrespectful. So while the product is tasty the company itself takes it's customers for granted and treats them poorly.

If you're hankering for some tasty charcuterie treats buy straight from your local store and don't bother trying to deal directly with Ember Snacks.
