My vps was down for atleast 25% of the time, got deleted and got it back for almost a month and it got deleted once again and didnt come back. All my shit, 2 months of work, gone. And its been a Hot minute with no refund still.

Overall great service but slow support times. I purchased a VPS from these folks. The website did not have a valid SSL certificates from a trusted certificate authority, making me have to lower my browser safety settings to access the VPS Cloud Panel. No more than a few days later, Embotic suffered a huge data breach, leaking the info of nearly all of their customers. The cloud panel isn't on, and I am losing time on my service. Their statement said I could request a 2 month extension free of charge or a full refund by opening a ticket and pinging the owner. After opening a ticket and pinging the owner, someone (not even the owner) said to stop pinging them in tickets as they were quite busy. It has been multiple days and I have not heard back from literally anyone at the Embotic team at all, despite most of the staff team being online

Be aware that this website abuses the flagging tool by flagging 100% of the negative reviews in the past 12 months for bogus reasons. I initially had reservations about the maturity of this host, and unfortunately, those fears were confirmed just now. This provider admitted to a massive security breach affecting the majority of accounts.

This was not a minor incident; the leak included critical data such as usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, audit logs, and encrypted passwords. For a hosting provider to lose this specific combination of data across most of their user base demonstrates a fundamental lack of security protocols and operational experience.

While they did disclose the breach, the fact that unauthorized parties could access this depth of data suggests the platform is not secure enough for serious use. There are plenty of other actually competent platforms around the same price.

I'm a Former Paying Customer for Embotic, and was not overall pleased with the service I was provided.

Embotic has 0 security measures, and therefore recently suffered a massive data breach which resulted in the breach of their Customers Information (Emails, IP Addresses & Passwords to Portal). This meant that paying customers, and also some of their free-customers, signed up to have their data breached. People in the discord server were also muted amongst finding out that Embotic suffered a data-breach, and mentioning it inside of their chat.

Amongst them finding out as well, the best they could offer was 1 months refund, or 2 months free on their service, without coming clear it was a data-breach. They provided a lack of apology, and just said "We'll do better in future", without acknowledging the issues present within the breach.

Aside from that, upon the forefront their business doesn't have a home page, however than a login portal, which doesn't give a good look to myself if I was to use Embotic for my business. There "home page" is a login screen, and a privacy button and a terms of service button, without mention of Pricing and overall design to their brand.

My best advice, want a VPS then host it yourself, it's going to be cheaper over-time if you get an Old Office Computer and boot Linux / Ubuntu onto it, however If you wish to have a VPS with quite horrible uptime, then go with Embotic. There is so many more better companies, who may charge you £2-3 more but you're getting a better service and more or less with a more reliable and known company.

This is not real hosting — it’s a scam disguised as a service.

I paid £45 per month (about $61 USD) plus a setup fee, expecting a proper dedicated server in a datacenter. In total, I’ve wasted over £200 ($260 USD). What I actually got was a server shoved in someone’s shed, running on Starlink satellite internet. None of this was disclosed when I signed up. I was led to believe this was a standard hosting service, when in reality it was just a backyard hobby setup.

It took them two weeks after payment just to power on the server. And when it finally came online, the networking was a disaster. Instead of providing proper datacenter networking, they stuck me with WireGuard IP tunnels. They never mentioned this upfront. These tunnels were unstable, broke constantly, and caused hours of downtime and lost revenue. No legitimate host in the world would run servers like this.

Uptime was abysmal — around 30% downtime overall, sometimes offline for days at a time. When I asked for a proper 99.9% SLA (the industry standard), I was told “Starlink dying isn’t our fault.” Yet they still charged full price.

Refunds? Completely refused. Even with constant downtime, delays, and instability, they made it clear: no refunds, no SLA, no accountability. On top of that, they claimed I didn’t even own the hardware — despite charging me both setup and rental fees.

The kicker is this: for the same price I was paying here, I could have gotten a real server in a professional datacenter with proper networking, guaranteed uptime, and transparency. Instead, I was tricked into paying datacenter prices for a Starlink shed experiment.

So to summarize what I paid £200+ for:

* A server in a shed on Starlink (never disclosed)
* Two weeks just to activate it
* Unstable WireGuard IP tunnels instead of proper networking (never disclosed)
* 30% downtime, sometimes offline for days
* No SLA, no refunds, no accountability
* Misleading claims about hardware ownership
* All at a price comparable to a real datacenter provider

This was false advertising, misleading from the start, and completely unprofessional. Embotic is not a hosting provider — it’s a backyard side project being sold as if it were enterprise-grade.

If you value your money or your time, do not fall for this scam.

My experience with this service has unfortunately been quite negative, leading to my eventual ban from the community. I feel it's important to share the issues I encountered.

First, the community moderation feels inconsistent. There have been instances where conversations turned to sensitive topics like politics, and personal jokes at my expense made me feel targeted and unwelcome. A more professional and consistently moderated environment would greatly improve the user experience.

The service's performance was another major issue. The free hosting tier suffered from frequent and lengthy downtime, often for less than 6 hours at a time, making it unreliable for any project. While I understand the limitations of a free service, the uptime was poor enough that it felt unusable. As an alternative, I've had a much better experience with Galactic Hosting. The paid VPS options also seemed quite expensive for the performance offered.

Unfortunately, my interactions with the support team were frustrating. Ticket response times were very slow, and the general tone from some staff members felt harsh and dismissive. I was repeatedly asked for extensive evidence to validate my concerns, which made me feel as though my feedback wasn't being taken seriously. It was also concerning to see knowledgeable and helpful staff members suddenly leave the team for unclear reasons.

The control panel was another source of frustration, with frequent lag, bugs, and glitches. On one occasion, a file I was working on was deleted unexpectedly, causing me to lose my work. Furthermore, there appears to be a pattern of critical reviews about the service being flagged and removed, which makes it difficult for potential users to see the full picture.

Overall, due to the unreliable service, unprofessional community environment, and unhelpful support, I cannot recommend this platform.

I have multiple VPS servers, never really had problems and when i had one, i would dm luke and he would fix it in a few minutes. Their free hosting is also very solid. Good Host!

I've had nothing but a great experience at Embotic. I use their services for everything, no matter what. They provide top of the line VPS at a price of a lower-end, not great VPS. This makes it amazing for my small business, we get the cheapest price and the highest quality.

My only 2 downsides is that most banks flag Embotic purchases during the Invoices. I know this isn't their problem though. The website is also a bit confusing to navigate for the first time, but otherwise their services are my go-to!

I would take Embotic over any other host, they have little to no restrictions and put security first. I am hosting my FreePBX on it and I'm confident in it's uptime and security.

Still the best hosting, only negative they take away my credits
