Earthbound Expeditions レビュー 

This was my first trip with Earthbound Expedition Ltd (EE), as recommended to me by my sister who had previously done several other trips with Badri. I was simply blown away by the meticulous planning and exceptional care and attention given to one and all in the group. No doubt a group of 20+ comes with various challenges, needs and requirements, and yet Badri somehow managed to accommodate everyone.
There is plentiful food in supply... at all times... and in accordance with ones dietary needs !!!
The Inca trail is no simple feat and Badri and his team of porters and guides made an extremely difficult trek achievable with the constant encouragement and physical help where needed and got everyone to the finishing line in sickness and in health. That first glimpse of the Machu Pichu Inca ruins from the Sun gate followed by a full guided tour of the site itself made every painful step getting to it, and even the camping part, Well Worth It!!!
The whole trip was well organised with a full itinerary including other amazing sights to the breathtaking Rainbow Mt, the incredible Uyuni Salt flats (Bolivia), the beautiful landscapes of Colca Canyon and majestic Condors in flight!
Badri gives a truly unique and personal experience, which is lacking in so many other tour companies. His sunny disposition and charming personality is infectious and he has a lot of trekking experience. Basing on my personal experience, I would highly recommend Earthbound Expedition to those seeking adventure, group comradery and personal experience. I certainly hope to join in on other expeditions with this company.
Only one observation, the group was 100% Indian and many of them had done one or various previous trips with 'EE'. Of course, this also speaks volumes for customer satisfaction...

I would not travel with this company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone undertaking a pilgrimage as sacred and once-in-a-lifetime as Kailash.

I want to begin by recognizing the local ground staff. They were compassionate, hardworking, and often did everything they could to care for travelers in extremely challenging conditions. They deserve recognition for their kindness and dedication.

Unfortunately, my experience with the company itself was the complete opposite. The journey was marketed as a deeply spiritual yatra, but it felt like a commercial operation wrapped in spiritual language. There was a significant gap between what was promised and what was delivered.

The most concerning example occurred during the parikrama. We were strongly discouraged from continuing beyond the first section and were told this was due to safety concerns. Many pilgrims questioned this assessment because the weather conditions were favorable. A large portion of the group ultimately chose to continue and completed the route without the issues that had been suggested. This experience left many of us questioning whether the decision had truly been based on safety.

Throughout the pilgrimage, we were also repeatedly encouraged to shorten visits to important sacred sites instead of being given the time outlined in the itinerary. Rather than facilitating a meaningful spiritual experience, the focus often seemed to be on moving the group along as quickly as possible.

The accommodations were also not represented accurately before the trip, making it difficult to prepare and creating expectations that were not met.

The handling of dietary requirements was also disappointing. Although our dietary needs were collected in advance and occasionally accommodated, they were often not followed, with no communication when this wasn’t possible. I understand the challenges of traveling in remote regions, but if dietary accommodations cannot be provided, that should be communicated openly so travelers can prepare accordingly.

Most disappointing of all, I personally witnessed travelers who gave additional cash to members of the local team receiving greater flexibility and preferential treatment than others. Regardless of the reasons, this created the perception of unequal treatment among pilgrims and was deeply unsettling.

Kailash is not simply another tour destination—it is one of the world’s most sacred pilgrimages. It deserves to be led with transparency, honesty, and reverence. While I remain profoundly grateful for the mountain itself and for the remarkable local staff who cared for us, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

Just did my third trek with Earthbound/Badriji and needless to say it was exemplary, perfectly executed.Badriji delivered on everything and more. this was my third trek with him_others being Mont Blanc and Machu Pichu.
A warm welcome in Kathmandu with marigold garlands and a complimentary Kathmandu trip preceded the adventure where Badri and team were omnipresent to remove every obstacle and iron out every wrinkle. When nad weather prevented our chopper from landing in Lukla he procured permission to have us dropped in Phakdimg and himself ran down from Lukla[where he was with other half of group] to greet us in Phkding. We had excellent lodges with on suite toilets on most days, electric blankets and hot food along with Badrijis supply of masala chai, snacks and pickles. He was the doc for this group of doctors and expertly managed those of us who got sick with altitude sickness. He even threw in a complimentary back and leg massage for the sore legs.
His team was super courteous and helpful ever present to serve us hot tea, food and just be there.
Before I left for Nepal my friend asked my adult daughter how she felt about me going to EBc and her response just about sums it up-Badriji is there. She will be fine.

I did my first ever Himalayan trip to Goyko lakes and EBC with Earthbound expedition and Badri Ji. My experience was beyond amazing. I was with a small group of 10 people and we all received incredible services by the team . We had requested for 2:1 potter ( and 1:1 at EBC ) and the potter was hip to hip throughout the trip. Badri Ji hiked with us and took care of each one of us with exceptional care. A few of us developed acute altitude sickness, and he was there with his expert guidance, medication and help. Our original itinerary had to be changed multiple times including changing tea houses, change in helicopter rides and Badri Ji managed that without hesitation . He also ran down for three hours from Gorakshep as there were not enough time and provision of helicopters due to helicopter restrictions at high altitude flying !! I am beyond impressed by my experience and can’t imagine a trip of this level without Earthbound expedition

A Journey of a Lifetime – Mount Kailash & Mansarovar Yatra

I recently completed the Mount Kailash and Mansarovar Yatra, and I can confidently say it was a phenomenal experience with no stone left unturned. Every detail was meticulously planned, and the execution was flawless from start to finish.

The energy throughout the journey was truly transformational. Our leader Badri Gajurel was a powerhouse of positivity and strength, constantly uplifting the group and keeping our spirits high even in the most challenging moments. His passion and dedication was contagious, creating a momentum that carried us through the entire pilgrimage with grace and enthusiasm.

From the sacred serenity of Mansarovar to the awe-inspiring presence of Mount Kailash, every moment was infused with spiritual depth and emotional resonance. The support, care, and camaraderie among the group and the supporting team from Earthbound Expedition made this not just a trip, but a deeply personal and soul-stirring experience.

If you're considering this journey, I wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s not just a travel experience—it’s a spiritual awakening.🙏

The EBC challenge was simply my best trip with Earthbound team. The Earthbound team led by Badri, is just ideal as they make the experience all worthwhile - motivation. As the motto goes - "there ain't mountain high enough"

The worst tour ever. Signed up for an itinerary that changed everyday. Wake up and something was omitted from the tour. Almost everyday something was eliminated or changed Big rip off. Stay away from this company.

I have nothing but great things to say about the team at Earthbound! I did EBC + Gokyo Lakes trek and loved every second! Very well run, organized, and accommodated.

Our group had an excellent trip to Nepal and trekking the Annapurna Circuit. The trek is stunning but the trip was a success due to the organization, logistical planning and personal touches provided by Earthbound Expeditions.

Phenomenal 9 day trek to Annapurna Base Camp with a couple days on both ends in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Rajan and his team were simply amazing. Earthbound handled everything from airport transfers, meal reservations, teahouse accommodations, and even offered assistance in wondering the shops to find the best deals. Earthbound's reputation as a top notch tour operator is well-earned. I'll absolutely be back and will be booking directly with Rajan!! (If you're curious, most western outfitters subcontract to local guides and Earthbound is usually there first call. Skip the middleman and book direct)

Earthbound Expeditions organised a 28-day trip for us that combined Manaslu and Upper Mustang treks, with a short rest in Pokhara. Everything was organised via email before our arrival in Kathmandu, and the few necessary changes during the trip were minor and seamless (28 days is a long time, some changes are bound to occur due to weather or other circumstances!). We had the absolute BEST time! Naresh (guide) and Som (porter) certainly contributed to make our trip one to remember for all the good reasons, and deserve two massive thumbs up for their professionalism and overall kindness. And Rajan was the perfect host, passionate about his country and a great story teller.

Rajan ji and his entire crew made the Annapurna Circuit Trek an experience we will remember forever ! Thank you for your attention to detail and for all the help and care! I will be back in nepal am sure many times over thanks to Earthbound expeditions !!

Nepal is not just known for its great mountains but also known for its great people, their friendliness and their openness to people from far and near. If this is how people of Nepal are, Rajan and his team are the Crem de la Crem of hospitality. He and his team have mastered the art of trekking and guiding novices to fulfill their trekking dreams.
Any trekking operation is built on a few fundamentals that make it successful.. Safety, understanding the trekker's ability, the journey and finally, fun.
Earthbound Expeditions, under Rajan, made sure that all of these were considered each and every day of the hike. This may seem natural and trivial, but setting this precedence early on ensured that our team of 30 (kids & adults) knew our priority at any given time or day. Some of our guides had done multiple Everest rescue missions, Annapurna circuits, EBC and knew the lay of the land to guide us where to rest, where to eat, take pics or even realize that someone is having issues due to altitude sickness etc.
I am glad we went with Rajan and team. Though it was the first time for me with them, many of the folks in the team had already trekked EBC with Rajan and the team a few years back. 
I would highly recommend trekkers to choose Earthbound Expeditions.

We have just arrived back from an absolutely fabulous 2 week family holiday in Nepal. This was my 4th time in this incredible country but my 1st time since I had children. I have been here as a solo traveller, with parents and also on my honeymoon, and every time I have used Rajan and Earthbound Expeditions. In fact I would never use anyone else. I completely trusted Rajan to create an itinerary perfect for my family. We have 3 children aged 9, 7 and 5, and Rajan didn't disappoint, providing a varied and interesting itinerary, which would be achievable for all the children.

In the 2 weeks we toured Kathmandu, went white water rafting on the Trishuli River, visited the beautiful Newari town of Bandipur, did a 4 day trek in the Annapurna Himalayan range, spent time in lovely Pokhara and last but not least went on a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park.

We all loved every part of the holiday, enhanced by Rajan always providing such excellent and professional guides. Namaraj, who was with us from the Kathmandu tour to the end of the trek was first class, and we were joined on the trek by Som and Robindra as porters and also extra help for the children, and the kids loved them! I think the highlight was making dance off videos with them for TikTok!

Rajan remained in contact throughout the whole 2 weeks. When we decided that the drive from Pokhara to Chitwan was a bit too much for the children (a little bumpy and slow going at the moment whilst they upgrade the roads), he very quickly booked us onto flights. He also changed a hotel for us at the last minute because we thought it would be nice to reward the children with a pool after they had done so well on the trek.

Overall I have nothing but positive things to say about our experience, both of Rajan, Earthbound Expeditions, and Nepal in general. It may not seem like an obvious family destination, however the people were incredible with the children, the experiences are life enhancing for the children, and even on the trek there are always food options, even for fussy children albeit basic. It is very accessible and children and parents alike will never be bored with the wealth of experiences to be had here. As their tourism slogan goes, Naturally Nepal once is not enough. Our family will definitely be back. We might even tackle Everest Base Camp next time!

גיוון הטיול כלל גם טרק בחלק ממסלול האנאפורנה, רפטינג אתגרי אבל לא מסוכן, ג׳ונגל פראי שכלל חיות בבית הגידול הטבעי שלהן, בתי מלון מפנקים, מדריכים עדינים ונעימים והכרות עם המקומיים. ארגון הלוגיסיטיקה היה חלק - טיסות פנים, הסעות, והערכת זמן השינוע ממקום למקום.
לילדים ולנו - הטיול ותכנונו היו מעולים.

Our itinerary was complicated, with friends arriving from all over the world at different times, doing different things, including helicopters and luxury accommodations along the EBC, and Rajan handled all of it perfectly. The highlight of the journey was the hike to Everest Base Camp, which is 100% open for business after the pandemic, and is alive with legendary views from the top of the world. We wish we'd taken more time in Kathmandu, which is vibrant if not chaotic, but has a wealth of things to see and experience. When my travel brings me back to Nepal and the Himalaya, I will definitely work with Rajan and Earthbound again.

We booked the Poon Hill Trek in Annapurna region with Earthbound Expeditions. The expectation of the trip was surpassed by the organizational expertise of the owner and CEO Mr Rajan Simkhada. From the minute the first email was promptly replied to, through the whole trek until the departure for home, we were so well looked after. Mr Simkhada was always available to answer any question prior to trip. He organised highly skilled team of guide and porter who displayed amazingly detailed knowledge about the area.

Every aspect of this trip met and exceeded our expectations and I would recommend this trip to everyone. The guide, assistant guide/porter (Rajan Neupane and Som Giri) were the best, super attentive and supportive. It was a great experience and great adventure with a professional and friendly team.

Back in Kathmandu, our day sightseeing was also organised through Earthbound. Our driver (Raju) was exceptional. Very professional and friendly service, they listen to what your preferences are and build your holiday around them.

Everything was superbly organised, absolutely reliable service at its best. I can strongly recommend Earthbound Expedition and will be booking with them again on our future adventures in Nepal. Our plan is to continue doing climbing trips in Nepal and we will be sure to book their services again.
