English Like A Native レビュー 

Hi everyone! I would like to share my personal experience with the English like a native, the Pronunciation course in particular.
It was my dream for many years to have perfect British accent. Having said that, I am British, living in England, but been born in another country. As a result I have an accent which I wanted to remove.
The course is structured perfectly to my convenience. I can do the exercises whenever I can. Unlike some of the other courses I was considering, it does not expire. This is important because due to my personal circumstances I could not begin my practices for at least 2 months!
I am now working on my pronunciation for about 4 months. These are the changes that I recorded:
1. I can’t remember when somebody would ask me to repeat myself because they couldn’t understand what I was saying (happened often in the past 🙈)
2. I started to enjoy me talking and stopped been afraid of my own voice.
3. I speak much slower now which contributes greatly to the p.1
4. People started to notice and giving me compliments which is very important. It gives the correct motivation to continue.

Hello everyone, I'm Domenico, and I recently took the IELTS exam, which might seem challenging to many. I'm taking a few spare minutes to write a review of my English learning experience as an ELAN member back in 2022, if my memory serves me correctly, to express my gratitude for having been part of the community, resulting in an outstanding 7.5 in the speaking section of the IELTS exam. I would like to emphasise that ELAN allowed me to develop the necessary communication skills, along with a wide range of vocabulary related to various topics that commonly come up during the IELTS exam. Looking back, I must say that I'm incredibly satisfied with the teaching I received. The constant feedback enabled me to develop a well-rounded understanding of the nuances of the target language. Consequently, I could effortlessly use the language that I learned during my long language journey, filled with ups and downs, with the same demeanor and confidence as native English speakers. Without a doubt, this made my speaking enjoyable, entertaining, and, above all, engaging. By the way, it even made my examiner grin from ear to ear on test day. Therefore, I can't help but be grateful for the excellent help that exceptional teachers, like Anna, Anne-Marie Butler and Andrew provided to improve my language skills, helping me convey my thoughts and ideas fluently and effectively in English. Personally, I will cherish this experience forever, although I have a burning desire to rejoin the community once I'm settled. I look forward to continuing to share my thoughts with both friendly teachers and members of the ELAN community.

The best course I've ever tried! In less than a month my fluency improved consistently as my confidence in speaking. Anna and her team support me effectively in succeeding my goals for a fluent English, lots of resources are at my disposal for organising my pattern accordingly to my needs. Practising my conversation skills is no more a problem as I joined the ELAN community. Definitely worth its cost!!

This is definitely worth it! I took ELAN's pronunciation course and that set the roots for my lifelong journey into British English pronunciation. Moreover, taking individual lessons with Anna was both illuminating and inspiring. She's such a great teacher. Huge value for money.

I'm delighted to find Anna's course and let me tell you why?! Having lived in the UK with the level of English that only gets you by definitely reflected on the quality of my life. This is a great English learning podcast. But not only for learning English it's just same as listening to a friend. Anna's voice is very clear and joy to listen to.

I've subscribed to the ELAN Community since January 2022 and have access to the Conversation Club, the Live lessons of Anna and Mike, the podcasts+the bonus podcasts and the different contents available on the website (recording of the live Events, videos and articles used to prepare the Conversation club session, podcasts with transcripts... and the short videos Anna makes on a very regular basis on different topics (vocabulary, grammar)). I especially love the podcasts. I listen to them when I commute from home to work. I find them really interesting and I learn so much vocabulary.
Being part of the ELAN community has really helped me improving my skills in English. Now, when I am listening English songs, the lyrics of the songs come to me without having to concentrate. I understand most of them without any effort. That's really magic! I'm forty-two and I thought that "at my age", it would be very difficult to improve my listening skill, but thanks to Anna and the members of her team, it works!
Each month, you receive an email to to notify you that you are about to be billed so it is easy to unsubscribe, and I find it very honest from Anna.
I can just encourage you to subscribe to the ELAN community, it is very worth it.

That course was OFF THE CHARTS! You can't only ameliorate your english skills in an engaging way, but also enjoy the uplifting reminder emails.

I'm enjoying listening to and speaking English for many years. But my pronunciation leaves a lot to be desired. All the words coming from my mouth covered with thick russian accent. And listening to all the media in English (films, tv shows, podcasts, youtube) didn't help. Recently I've decided to try and tackle this problem. And stumbled upon this course. I've started with an assessment and was glad that got it in one day instead of a week. Anna helped me to pinpoint the exact sounds that I mispronounce all the time, so I can focus on correcting them. After reading the assessment I realised that I must buy the full pronunciation course. A few lessons in – and I have not a single regret. Thanks, Anna!

I took the pronunciation assessment on englishlikeanative.co.uk and was very satisfied by the output as well as my interaction with the assessor, Anna.

I come from France and I have lived for 5 years in the UK; however, my accent doesn't sound British yet, which is my desire. I asked Anna to offer me guidance on how to steer my accent towards received pronunciation. Anna provided a detailed breakdown of each sound I made, as well as a general assessment of my speech. Her analysis was very precious to me because it helped me pinpoint what I should work on to improve my accent. This is rare insight that even native speakers cannot usually provide. In addition, Anna kept me up to date with the delivery of the assessment, which was much appreciated.

Armed with the knowledge provided by Anna, I am making sure to pronounce my /t/s, lengthen my /a/s when required, and overall work on greater articulation, for example. I decided to try first the Pronunciation Course and I was fascinated by the dedication that Anna showed in the assessment. Since I was impressed by that, I chose to take part in B2, C1, and Business courses and I'm glad I took this decision because I've improved drastically my English and that helped me climb the ladder in my career. Anna and all the teachers of the community are awesome and I believe that learning English on Elan is different from other websites/channels and for sure more fun!

A very useful challenge on phrasal verbs. It has quite broadened my vocabulary.

Hello, I am very comfortable with Anna English like native becaouse she answers mail very fast, she has cheap courses everyone can buy, these courses have eay information to understand and to remember, Anna is trying to take care about everyone in the world, Anna has good Analyse to explain every side of English lunggage, her pronunciation is very clear. He loves her job therefor is succefull, she is very positive and very nice.

The feedback provided by Anna has been great, it really is very specific and detailed; it's not just a general assessment, but there really is an indication for each sound that needs improvement, as well as some quick tips on how to improve pronunciation.
I've loved it and I'm very happy with the feedback, now I know exactly what to focus on to keep improving.

Had a great experience I must say Anna is the best British Accent trainer in the world but also even after being that popular all over the world she is still very humble and down to earth , still replies her emails with in few hours , her British Accent training course is the best in the world has everything one would need to be able to Speak in British Accent and the way she explains hit the nail on the head, I would suggest do not waste your time and money joining other instructors then you will end up coming to anna after wasting a lot of money and time so just join the best and get the best results , Anna has done amazingly well specially for her age she is my role model it has been a real pleasure being part of this course learned lot

I want to share my experience with the IPA workbook.
I think that learning the IPA is much underrated, in fact I had never thought about it before to try this method.
Anna created this super handful workbook that teaches how to write and read the phonetic sounds, and this is an unbelievable booster for pronunciation.
Learning the phonetic alphabet helped me isolating the sounds which I usually tended to confuse with those of my native language (Italian).
As a result, when I hear a word which I am not sure about the pronunciation, I immediately recognize the sound and I double check the transcription with the Oxford dictionary.
Of course I still have to work on my pronunciation but now that I know the IPA, that work is much more effective.
Also, when I see the phonetic transcription of a word I immediately know how it is pronounced, without the need to listen to the audio.
The great thing about the workbook are the exercises, they help a lot to familiarize with the symbols, and by the end of the book it becomes pretty easy to write/read sentences in IPA.
I believe that for a learner who want to speak the REAL (British) English, this tool is amazing! and it's super cheap, I would have paid more for it, especially now that I reap the benefits.

This month I had my English exam, for intermediate level. We were tested on 4 skills, grammar, reading, writing, and speaking. And I got 25/25 in speaking, which was amazing for me, I couldn’t believe it. In the exam, I felt very confident and fluent. In the others skills, I got almost full marks too. And I realised that since I started your conversation club, it has forced me to speak more, to try to learn more vocabulary, to get out of my comfort zone. In my other English course here in Paraguay, we had very little opportunity to practice speaking. That is why English Like A Native is so good. The Conversation Club gives me more tools to practice.
And finally, I just want to say that, not only has the Club helped me, but all your live lessons, and videos too, they are really useful for improving my listening skills. So thanks for everything.

I want to say that I love your pronunciation course, I have improved so greatly. I practise day in and out, I struggle a lot with the rhythm may be, however, I see there is a shadowing part that I haven't seen yet since I am in the fricatives part.
