Wish I had seen these reviews before booking. This was a company travel booking and car collection and handover was good. I was surprised at the amount of damage recorded on the handover documents with a significant number of panels having recorded minor scrapes and dents. Checked all over and some were extremely hard to spot. But signed and took the car away. On return the area was extremely busy and a young lady took the keys. Confirmed what bay I had parked the car in and then said thank you, I’ll send over your agreement by email. A week later I have been presented with an invoice for alleged scrapes to a wing mirror. I can categorically state this did not occur during my hire period. I’m now left trying to resolve this remotely. Absolute scam artists. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I hired a car from them when i got to the check in a couple of extra charges went on which i wasn’t happy about but accepted .
Went to pick up the car and thank god myself my mum and partner all went round the car and took very detailed photos of all of the car inside and out we then uploaded all of the damage that was on the car to a damage report which needed to be done within 24 hours of the start of hire .
Dropped the car off was told to just park it and leave the keys in the car which was my mistake i should have got an attendant to go over the car with me but i didnt .
Got home the deposit was refunded to me and i thought no more of it until nearly a week later when they took £401 out of my account for a scratch to a alloy said scratch had already been reported on damage report with the meta data . So after many weeks talking to enterprise in the uk i have finally managed to get my money back, refunded today 😀
But honestly I don’t think i would have got it if I hadn’t been so persistent .
And I wished i had read the reviews before i booked the car because by the looks of it I’m not the first that these totally corrupt individuals have tried to rip off and i wont be last 😡😡😡

I am incredibly disappointed with my experience. We were wrongly charged for vehicle damages that were already present when we picked up the car on 8th March 2026. Despite us providing clear, timestamped video with metadata and photographic evidence proving the damage existed prior to our rental, the company has completely ignored our dispute and simply taken a large amount of money (£730) without any communication or reply and it's now been over three weeks. Zero.
Their own checkout report was poorly documented with no supporting photos, yet they are holding us liable for pre-existing issues.
I beg you, avoid this company at all costs or consider walking. Their customer service is non-existent and their billing practices are completely unjust.

Absolute con artists. This company is breaking almost every rule on the ECRCS rental guidelines and commiting insurance fraud in my opinion. Returned a car which had done 36000km and had any email about a 3-4mm scratch on one of the alloy wheels and have charged my card 427chf but have provided no evidence of the condition before the rental or the repair after. Have raised a ticket and plan to make a chargeback on my credit card and report them to ECRCS as should not be trading like this.
Very poor
Very poor. It took nearly 30min to check in. In that time all 3 of the previous customers had arguments with the check in staff about damage. On my rental they claimed that there was a scratch on the inside of the passenger door. It was certainly not me as I was by myself and only used the drivers door and the boot. They suggested I should have taken pictures of absolutely everything. So you are meant to open all doors and photograph! They have now opened a claim. I have been hiring cars for years and I have never seen such a return procedure with lights all over car and really looking for anything. Clearly seem to be incentivised to find damage. Avoid like the plague. I will never use this company again and will discuss with our corporate travel provider to black list them. You have been warned!
Perfect experience at Enterprise rental in Geneva Airport
We had a great experience with a rental car hire from Enterprise in Geneva Airport! I am so shocked to read some of these dreadful reviews because we couldn’t have had a better experience. There was no queue at the collection desk which is well signposted in Geneva Airport, a small shuttle bus to the car collection port and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We collected the car smoothly, and upon return found the same helpful and friendly experience. Our car was checked back in easily and we even got given a small bag of Easter eggs as it was Easter Sunday! All in all - fantastic service, and I would not hesitate to book again. Not sure what these other 1 star reviews are talking about?!!

Returned a car in the same condition I picked it up. They are trying to charge me 480€ for an alleged wheel rim scratch (1cm long!) that I did not do, with pictures that don't proof the scratch is in the I car I took, without allowing me to be present during the return inspection or without any proof that they actually did indeed fix it and underwent a cost to replace anything. Moreover, first they billed my card and THEN they wrote to me to explain the charge, generating defenselessness for customers. I am obviously disputing the charge with my card issuer, and considering sue if they don't reverse the charge.

Had pre existing stone chip measuring 3mm on windscreen that looked insignificant on collection but when returning the sales agent went straight to the chip and charged me £2250 say it was me that had damaged it.
Car fire almost killed us
Enterprise at Basil Airport provided us with a car that exploded into flames nearly killing the four people in our party.
Despite the seriousness of the incident Enterprise don’t care and have made everything incredibly stressful. They offered us a replacement car the next day after we complained on social media, but the replacement was 100Km away. They didn’t offer any help in getting to the replacement despite us now being stranded in a tiny town.
We’ve yet to receive any kind of apology or resolution to this incident and thus far Enterprise have treated horribly.
SCAM ALERT
SCAM ALERT - I had some pre existing damage on the bumper which was pointed out to the Enterprise representative before I got in the car. They purposely did not make a note of it and then sent me an invoice for 1539 CHF and charged my card plus another 130 CHF for handling fee.
Customer service is non existent and after getting the charges reversed by the credit card company, they threatening to take me to court. Absolutely ridiculous

Ich habe mich bewusst für Enterprise entschieden und zusätzlich eine Vollkaskoversicherung ohne Selbstbehalt abgeschlossen, um eine sorgenfreie Anmietung zu haben.
Trotzdem wurde bei der Fahrzeugübernahme und bei der Rückgabe keine gemeinsame Kontrolle durchgeführt, obwohl ich ausdrücklich darum gebeten habe. Mir wurde gesagt, dies sei wegen der Vollkasko nicht notwendig.
Einige Stunden vor der Rückgabe habe ich Fotos und ein Video gemacht, auf denen keine Schäden zu sehen waren. Nach meiner Rückkehr erhielt ich jedoch Schadensmeldungen mit Fotos von Schäden, die während meiner Nutzung nicht vorhanden waren.
Auch wenn mir letztlich keine Kosten berechnet wurden, hat mich dieser Vorgang sehr enttäuscht. Für Schäden verantwortlich gemacht zu werden, die man nicht verursacht hat, ist äußerst unangenehm und zerstört das Vertrauen.
Mein Vertrauen in Enterprise ist dadurch vollständig verloren gegangen.
Ich werde dort kein Fahrzeug mehr mieten.
Mein dringender Hinweis an andere Kundinnen und Kunden:
Unabhängig von der Versicherung immer Fotos und Videos machen und auf einer gemeinsamen Fahrzeugkontrolle bestehen.
Unexpected charge on bank account...
Received an unexpected charge on my bank account for "refueling service fee", despite having refueled the car to its full capacity... Not trustworthy and will never book a car with them.
Do not use
Do not use! Hidden charges, in French and didn't explain what was being signed other than this is acceptance of the car. Actually charged excessive non-required insurance which we are still chasing for refund and the complaints department have still not contacted me to update on this. Poor customer service, look into the other companies first!

I'm bringing a lawsuit against this company and it would be great if others could join me so this becomes a class action lawsuit.
Even though I had opted for their CDW insurance, they claim the pre-exiting scratches they claim I caused are two different incidents so I owe them 1500CHF for each ( total $3644 ) plus collection fees and loss of use. They are after me for $5000.

Enterprise CH/Helvetic Motion AG ARE SCAM ARTISTS and THIEVES
I rented a car from the Geneva Airport Enterprise Rental Car agency on December 11, 2025. The agency did not have the type of car that I had reserved, and I accepted a more expensive rental car at a higher price. The car had some minor paint scratches on it at the time of rental. Detailed inspection of the car at pickup was impossible due to poor lighting and tight parking spaces at the airport garage. The car had low tire air pressure at pickup indicated with a dashboard warning light, but no other problems during the rental. The car was not damaged by me during the rental period, and was returned to the same agency at Geneva Airport on December 23, 2026, as scheduled. The employees of the rental car company noted no problems with the vehicle when I returned it.
On January 6, 2026, 14 DAYS LATER, Helvetic Motion AG/Enterprise Geneva Airport made an unauthorized charge to my visa credit card in the amount of CHF 609.36, claiming that there were "new fine scratches" on the underside of the front plastic bumper. In communication with this company, I was told that I needed to send them "photos with meta data" showing that this claimed damage was present at the time I picked up the car.
In response, I asked them for the same type of "proof" that the damage they claim was seen on the car WHEN IT WAS RETURNED. I asked for "photos including meta data" (date and time stamp) of the date and time that the car was returned. I also asked for PROOF that they had paid to have the car repaired or repainted -- an invoice showing this.
After several emails, this Enterprise Agency/Helvetic Motion AG FAILED to provide any sort of proof to substantiate their claim that I damaged the car or that they had repaired the car after it was returned to them.
If you search on the internet, you will see that this behavior of Helvetic Motion AG is a WELL KNOWN SCAM that they do on foreigners renting cars from them at their multiple Swiss Enterprise Locations.
Addendum: I filed a chargeback with my Visa CC issuer, and also contacted a consumer forum/ protection legal agency in Switzerland
After supplying all the required documentation, and waiting around 1 month, my CC issuing bank ruled in my favor and reversed the charge made by Enterprise CH/Helvetic Motion AG. Merchants are usually assessed a fee of $15USD to $50 USD for successful chargebacks made against their charges, which may give you additional incentive to go this route.
I was also contacted by a lawyer from the Swiss Consumer Forum (google for 'Swiss Consumer Forum") / Schweizerisches Konsumentenforum
who offered to confront Helvetic Motion over the charges they assessed to my Credit Card 2 weeks after the end of my rental.
This is to encourage others who are victimized by this unethical company to pursue all avenues open to them in protesting these sorts of charges by this company. Better yet would be to avoid renting from them in the future.

They make money by charging people for damages that were never repaired and never reported.
I rented a vehicle between 01.01.26 and 04.01.26. Although the document provided to me stated that the vehicle had no damage, I noticed existing damages, including scratches on the front bumper as well as scratches on the rear bumper and the right rear door. I reported and documented these with photographs within the first 6 hours.
However, I would like to emphasize that none of these damages were listed in the damage section of the contract. Therefore, these damages were intentionally overlooked during the inspection conducted before my rental.
Despite this, a report was issued to me as if these pre-existing damages were new and had occurred after my rental period. This was extremely unfair and unjust reporting. Although the photos I provided, they still went on the with the charges.
I will NEVER work with you. I will also report this in social media, including my account that has 156k followers.

Let's c 1st went to sulphur LA to rent a car since I just moved here from different state they wanted 3 bills with my name n address on it mind u I rented from them at least 19 times from my previous state. So they believe state if Louisiana real id us fake if they asking for bills with my address on them never heard of such a thing

I rented a car from Zurich airport from ALAMO/Enterprise. On the way back, nobody picked up the car, you just throw the keys in a box. the car was returned without damage. Now with 2 photos of the top part of the car. without date and time, without showing the entire car with the numbers and the damage, they are asking me for over 1000 euros for alleged damage. I ask them to send photos with dates, time, the entire car and they don't respond
