❌ Avoid Enterprise / Alamo / National – Arlanda Airport, Stockholm ❌

Absolutely appalling customer service from start to finish.

I rented a car from Alamo (part of Enterprise/National) at Arlanda Airport, and they’ve since charged me for a parking fine I had already paid directly to the Swedish authorities. To make matters worse, they’ve added an admin fee on top, despite me resolving the fine myself.

No proof of the fine, no correspondence, no explanation — just a charge out of nowhere. I’ve received zero documentation about what the fine was for, or why they thought they were entitled to take additional money from my card without any communication.

This kind of behaviour is dishonest, disorganised, and completely unacceptable from a global brand. If this is how they treat international customers — charging people for things already paid — I’d strongly advise you to AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

🚫 DO NOT USE Enterprise / Alamo / National at Arlanda Airport. You’ll regret it.

DO NOT USE THEM if you want a car that is safe and roadworthy. They will give you a car with problems and you end up risking your life on the road and when something happens there is no responsibility or support......

They provided a car that had a wheel fly off while driving which means it would've never passed the test to be on the road as wheel nuts were missing. Almost got into a car accident because the wheel fell off and what did they say? (Sorry we can't help you) a JOKE I can not clarify this enough but they are cheats and irresponsible. If there was zero stars available that would be their rating. (Minus -7000 star rating that's how poor this company is)

Probably the most efficient, friendly and helpful staff I've ever found at a car rental. I was almost taken aback at their chattiness. Car in excellent condition and with new winter tyres.

We rented a car through Enterprise rent-a-car at Malmö central station i January of 2017.
Everything wen't very smoothly with only one area of annoyance. In the invoice we received the deposit for the car was listed at 8500 SEK, but since we rented a large car (Mondeo station car) the actual deposit was 10500 SEK.
Beside the difference in the deposit, there is nothing to complain about in our experience with enterprise rent-a-car at Malmö central station
The initial inspection of the car went smoothly and we were encouraged to do a thorough check of the car, upon return, the inspection was of the same type as when we received it, and it was very reasonable.

Side note
Upon renting the car we looked up enterprise rent-a-car on trustpilot and saw a very grim picture. We did not experience any of the scams that has been described in those complaints.
We asked the attended about this, and were told that enterprise rent-a-car is a franchise business, which means that business practices will vary dependent on the specific location.

I can therefore only recommend enterprise rent-a-car at Malmö central station. But everything about the renting was very smooth and pleasant.
