Eppli sold a very expensive watch in comission on my behalf (40 K +) I have to say that their communication is terrible - i had no or little response to my emails, no returned telephone calls (if you can get through) and had to drive to Stuttgart to get an answer with regard to the status of my sale. I discovered the watch had been sold by following it online, and had to wait a considerable time to recieve the funds. Additionally they did not provide concrete evidence of the sale price. The service is the opposite of the impression their shop gives. For selling an item i would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

AUKTIONHAUS EPPLI tried to remove the below review from Google, stating that it is "Defamatory". I agree that THEIR behaviour to ME in 9 years ago was defamatory! Scraping bad reviews off the web in 2026 is dishonest so I am sharing the review on other platforms so their dishonesty is not edited from the internet.

AUKTIONHAUS EPPLI: GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. They accepted a EU 2,000 bid from me the day before an auction (6th October 2017) and confirmed the bid by speaking to me on the telephone, and then did not apply it to the sale. The item was sold for EU670 to someone else. The auction house DID NOT apologise, but suggeseted that I may have "better luck" next time. More likely that I will need a MIRACLE to succeed in buying from EPPLI , if they take a bid in writing, confirm on the telephone and then sell the Lot to someone else for 1/4 of the price I have offered.

Eppli ist ein Auktionshaus in Stuttgart, ihr Leitspruch "wir schätzen Werte". Im März kaufte ich bei EPPLI über die Drouot Plattform einen blauen Zirkon, die Beschreibung von EPPLI lautete "Loser blauer Zirkon von 5,78 ct, Ceylonschliff, antik, ca. 9,0 x 7,6 x 7,8 mm, handelsüblich erhitzt, attraktives blau, hohe Brillanz, guter Zustand".
Ich erhielt den Stein schön verpackt und sofort. Leider hatte der Stein einen 1mm grossen Schatten, der wohl durch einen thermischen Schock während der Erhitzung erstand (Expertise von einem Gemnologen, den ich anfragte). Leider von EPPLI nicht erwähnt und auf den Fotos nicht ersichtbar. Ich schrieb an EPPLI und erhielt zunächst keine Antwort. Ich liess nicht locker. Die sehr überhebliche Antwort von Stefan Müller

Mineraloge M. Sc. für Eppli e.K. Expertenzentrum kam, er meinte "Tension fissures are common in blue zircons due to the standard heating process" (das stimmt nicht, ich besitzte mehre Edelsteine, die erhitzt wurden, keiner hat einen Thermo-Schock) und "Why did you bid 3x the starting price for the zircon" der blaue Zircon wurde von EPPLI am Reservepreis 200-300€ angesetzt, das ist üblich. EPPLI bestreite nicht den 1mm grossen "Einschuss" noch, dass der Zirkon NICHT antik, u schlecht geschliffen ist. EPPLI ist zZt nicht bereit den Einkauf rückgängig zu machen
