Very disappointed in the quality and life of the faux leather dining chair seat pads.
Having spent £3k on an Ercol dining table and chairs in 2018 the faux leather has cracked along the front edge of all seats. I appreciate it's 8 years old but, when we bought Ercol we thought we were buying something that would last.
Having reviewed online Ercol state Guarantees of 10 & 15 years.
Having contacted Ercol direct and then the supplier (in January 2026) who sold us the furniture, Ercol have said the seats are only covered by a 5 year warranty. Neither can they supply replacement seat pads.
It's not as if the seats were well used, once or twice a week and not all at that.
I would be reluctant to buy such Ercol furniture ever again.
In my opinion Ercol are not the high quality brand that I believed.

I recently had a new sofa delivered, and within a few weeks, I happened to notice a fault. I contacted the retailer, and they have arranged a replacement sofa from Ercol, after an independent repair team came to look at it. Back to delivery time of 12–14 weeks 😀. In the meantime, I can continue to use my current sofa.
Initially, I changed my review to a negative as I was very disappointed, but now that the issue is being resolved, I’m happy again. The fault appears to be a manufacturing defect.
I will stand by my original post that stated the sofa is absolutely stunning

Lovely dining chairs, at a very good price

The item was delivered in a lorry that was so large that it could not negotiate the private road that leads to the house. The delivery men insisted that my 75 year old husband should drive his car down to the main road where they had parked. They helped him to load the item into his car which by chance was just large enough to accommodate the item. They drove away leaving him to unload the item once he had driven back to our house. Having paid for the delivery, included in the purchase price, I do not feel that it was acceptable that we, as pensioners, were left to deal with a heavy table by ourselves in this way. We also had to arrange for the disposal of the packing materials.

It would be good if we could get an update as we waited 2-3 weeks till we got a call for delivery arrangements.

Very please with my sideboard

Having had a long family connection with Ercol furniture ( my mother bought chairs in the 1960's and loved the quality) I always liked the design and brand. Now I have finally managed to buy two sofas and I absolutely love them !! Modern design, good quality and beautiful colours. Delivery was on time and very efficient. Well done team Ercol !!!!

Ordering was easy and the delivery was exceptional. The delivery men explained everything in detail regarding unpacking and what to do if something wasn’t right when we unpacked the item.
The cupboard was packed so very well.

Excellent service and top quality sideboard

I always check Ercol’s outlet page when I’m looking for something new for my home. I recently bought a dressing table with mirror. It was delivered sooner than expected. The whole experience was easy. And the quality is second to none - I’m delighted with my purchase.

Beautiful and well crafted piece of furniture. Ordering process was straightforward. Delivery was not perfect. Wrong item delivered which I spotted in time. Item was not well cared for in transit but was not damaged.
