The guide, Christopher, for the Kenya section( lake Naivasha, Amboseli national park): had a excellent knowledge of the flora & fauna. His ability to anticipate the movements of the animals was exceptional. You will have sensationnels pictures. We recommend him. His English was simple to understand by french Canadian.
We changed guide at the Namanga boarder.
The guide, Amani, for the Tanzania section(lake Manyara national park, lake Natron, Ngorongoro crater& Karitu, Serengeti national park, etc):
Amani spoke excellent french. The ajustments he suggested to the initial plan were very much appreciated, such as the visit to banana & coffee plantation. We have a visit to a jewelers of tanzanite with explanation of the exploitation, we went also to a huge public market ( happen once a month). He have also and excellents knowledges of the flora & fauna in all the extraordinary safaris...Furthermore, he demonstrated a great respect for the animals in their movements. He educate others guides , Masaï to the environnement, it was remarquable. We enjoyed his knowledges & personality.

By the way, we saw a lot of jeep (of others company) with mechanics problems or flat; we recommend a guide like Amani because he take cares of his TOYOTA jeep 4x4 Landcruiser( fitted with a roof hatch). There ´s no towing in this part of Africa. It must be frustrating to wait in the jeep for a mecanico!
Wé ve got to mention, the food and accommodation were always excellent quality.
We really enjoyed finishing our safaris with a small trip by internal flight in Zanzibar for a relaxing end at the beautifull Royal Zanzibar beach resort with all inclusive on the Indian Ocean. We were in the luxurious place to end our trip as rich & famous people!

Explorer Kenya organised a custom safari itinerary for me and my wife for our honeymoon, and the experience was nothing less than incredible. From the start, Robert was incredibly easy to work with, booking everything for us and making the process very simple. The safari itself was amazing, hitting many incredible spots around Kenya, and staying in beautiful and luxurious lodges and camps. It was one of our best life experiences. Our driver Moses was excellent - very friendly, knowledgeable of Kenya and animals, and was great at identifying exciting animal moments and when to exercise that little bit more patience to wait for them (we saw the big 5 within the first 2 days). He also did the entire 9 day safari drive around Kenya flawlessly without looking at a single map or GPS, showing his clear expertise and experience in being a safari driver. Overall I can highly recommend this company for your safaris, and Moses for your driver!

I went on a private safari tour with my husband for our honeymoon with Explorer Kenya and everything was amazing. The booking process with Robert was very easy, everything was sorted for us and the itinerary he chose was perfect (Nairobi, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli). He even added on a trip to an elephant orphanage for us and moved things around seamlessly when we requested. All of the lodges and camps booked were incredible in terms of location and facilities and all of the national parks and conservancies we visited had stunning scenery. We saw all of the Big 5 and many many more animals including cheetahs, a serval and lots of baby animals. Our guide, Moses, was amazing. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about animals as well as the geography and history of Kenya. He was clearly an expert guide and driver, driving us around Kenya without ever having to consult a map and helping us spot all of the animals within the parks. He also always checked that we were happy and comfortable and looked after us very well throughout our trip.

Siamo partiti da Mombasa con il nostro autista Jimmy che ci è venuto a prendere all'hotel dove alloggiavamo. Il safari è durato 4 giorni, durante cui abbiamo esplorato Tsavo West, Amboseli e Tsavo East. Il secondo giorno purtroppo abbiamo avuto un problema alla macchina, che fortunatamente è stato risolto abbastanza in fretta, in circa un'ora e mezza. Hakuna Matata :)
A parte questo imprevisto che è stato gestito molto bene, è stato molto bello, Jimmy è stato davvero un bravo autista e guida, ha una vista eccellente, ci ha mostrato animali che noi non avremmo mai notato, spiegandoci tante cose su di loro: come distinguere maschi e femmine, abitudini, caratteristiche varie. Più tante informazioni e curiosità sul Kenya e sui vari parchi. È sempre stato puntuale e presente prima degli orari stabiliti. Siamo davvero soddisfatti!

We have the most amazing trip planned by Purity. We went on a fantastic 4 day safari to Ambroselli and Tzavo east and west with John Mohui as driver and guide, he was very knowledgeable, drove nicely and looked after us very well, we will choose John again next time. Purity had booked a hotel for us in Nairobi for the first few days, and a beautiful beach hotel at Diani Beach. She had booked a train ride from Mombassa to Nairobi for us and arranged all transport. Everything has been 100% in order and Purity has responded to email correspondence quickly and efficiently. We can only give our best recommendations and will definitely order here again.

Kenia explorer is a reliable agency. I had a wonderful Safari trip with Samuel Ndungu as a guide, who is the friendliest man with a hart for his customers and the animals.

We just got back from safari (July 21-30) with this agency. Everything went very smoothly with every string well attached throughout. Pre-planning with the owner Robert was diligent and very professional. His suggestions were to the point and very helpful. They custom built the safari to fit our particular needs and requests, as far as itinerary, safari experience and lodging options. The guide they appointed to my wife and I (John Muhoi) ended up a friend. He was kind, open, knowledgeable, quit-witted, contemplative. Everything you could ask for and more. We learned a lot about the flora and fauna, of course, but more importantly about Kenyan people and society, its struggles and prospects. All in all, we found great personal value in this safari and we recommend this company strongly. Asante sana to Robert and his team.

We had the most incredible week of our lives in Kenya with our amazing driver Joseph, who is truly the BEST guide in the whole of Kenya. He went over and above to ensure we were happy, comfortable and had everything we needed. Our entire trip was made as amazing as it was because of Joseph.

We went to Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru which was the perfect trip. Joseph had over 20 years of experience and expertly found us beautiful animals, including even some of the ones that were hardest to find!

My partner had been planning to surprise me by proposing to me on our 3rd day. He said Joseph helped him hide champagne and prepare the most stunning location to propose with a sunset viewpoint of the Masai Mara, which was so special. Joseph was very thoughtful and considerate throughout, and also organised for us to have breakfast in bed one morning as a romantic treat.

I felt quite anxious about the long car journeys as I have a very weak stomach, but Joseph made me feel safe and stopped for the washroom whenever I needed to, which really put me at ease and helped me to relax and enjoy my holiday. Joseph was great at telling us stories so that the hours in the car flew by, but also very considerate to let us drive in silence when we needed a nap!

The whole process went really smoothly and the company was responsive and supportive. If you’re looking to go on safari and trying to choose a company, I would highly highly recommend Explorer Kenya and I would recommend you specifically ask for Joseph, as you are guaranteed to have the time of your life.

There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for working with EKS on our 12 day journey through Kenya. As a professional photographer I need to rely on the very best and that mission was certainly accomplished. Expectations were certainly met and from Day one having Simon Peter , Simon and Jonathan guide for us provided the best service. They knew where all the animals should be and their knowledge of all local wildlife is surpassed by none. I have never photographed so many animals and scenes in such a short span pf time. The Big Five was covered right away and from then on the trip just got better each day.

I am especially lucky to have spent all 12 days with my new friend Jonathan, His humor, professionalism, and his genuine passion for producing the best safari experience was always first class. He cared so much about my experience and it is shown is professional. As a photographer I hoped to be put in the best possible positions to get the shot and there were so many times that John just knew what to do without even me asking. That is instinct and service you need to rely on. I will never entertain coming back to Kenya without working with EKS and John. I without a doubt recommend this guide service and in our 12 days together we had an amazing time and all of our needs were met beyond expectations.

On a personal note I will certainly miss Jonathen, Simon Peter and Simon. Getting to know them was really great and feel like I have made 3 news buddys that I will always want to share Tuskers with…

We were fortunate to work with EKS for our 12 day safari. In 20 years of travel as a professional photographer, this group was first rate. Their knowledge, professionalism and and humor made our trip stress free. 12 days is a long time to spend with anyone and they made it feel like we were with friends and never strangers.

Simon Peter, Simon and Johnathan couldn’t have done a better job as our guides. As photographers they strives to put us in the best positions and also did a great job spotting and educating along the way. If you are making the journey to Kenya, EKS is the way to go.

We had a wonderful time with Explorer Kenya. We stayed at Masai Mara for 3 days / 2 nights. Our guide Jonathan has more than 2 decades of experience. He knows the entire area and showed us lots of different animals, including lions, giraffes and hippos.

In one morning drive, we were lucky and saw a rare encounter of three male lions and a lioness who have taken down a hippo, and were taking turns to eat. It’s a National Geographic documentary in real life!

Jonathan was an amazing driver, was very knowledgeable of the area and where to look for animals. All the drivers talk together over radio to notify each other when and where there is something cool to see. Our car had incredible suspension and comfortable seats. Got to see virtually every animal plus watch lions mate from 20 feet away. Overall just an incredible experience.

This was the most amazing safari experience - exceeded all expectations! We saw all of the Big 5 on our game drives and our guide, Jonathan, allowed us to steer in places we wanted to go!

My husband and I went on safari for our honeymoon and are still overwhelmed. We saw the Big 5 right on the second day. Our friendly and experienced guide Jonathan told us a lot about the wildlife, gave us insider tips and knew every place incredibly well. He gave us a very pleasant trip with his authentic, friendly and yet professional manner. We could always say where we would like to stop and watch the animals and we got the time we needed. We saw sooo many animals in 4 days. I think even pretty much all there is to see at Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. In this few days we just could switch off our mind and enjoy our honeymoon to the fullest. We can absolutely recommend Explorer Kenya and hope to come back soon :) thanks for everything Jonathan!

We had a wonderful safari trip! It was an amazing experience with amazing people. Thanks to our experienced and always happy guide Jonathan we managed to see all of the big 5. Jonathan has a lot of knowledge and told us so much about the animals and the country. The lodges are beautiful with stunning views, good food and perfect services. We had the best experience on our 4 days safari at Siria escarpment.our driver guide Jonathan took good care and we enjoyed his services. He's very friendly and professional and knows quite a lot about the Mara triangle which was quite fascinating!

I highly recommend the Explorer Kenya safari with driver’s Johnathon and Simon Peter. Our driver Simon Peter is very knowledgeable and has a great personality. He gave us plenty of time to watch the animals and is very good at spotting them. He definitely knows all of the different species. He answered all of our questions that have to do with the Safari and questions about Kenya. Simon Peter is a fantastic safari guide and very highly recommended.

My group spent 4 days with Jonathan and Simon-Peter and I had an incredible time from start to finish. From the start, they were very accommodating and made us feel right at home. We were a large group so we had two vehicles and they worked very well together to keep the group close together. During the game drives, they were very knowledgeable about all the wildlife and were patience as we stopped and took photos and videos. They made this trip better than I could have ever imagined and I am already recommending them to friends back home.

My family and I spent a week in Kenya with Jonathan and Simon-Peter of Explorer Kenya. I cannot recommend them enough. If we’re ever fortunate enough to come back we will seek them out.
