My experience with the staff at Express to Russia was excellent. Communication was clear, any questions I had were answered efficiently. The actual holiday went smoothly with no problems.

So far, I've used the Express to Russia service twice. I am very satisfied with them. I received a letter of invitation the day after the application was submitted. The agency is reliable and I will definitely choose it for the next trip to Russia.

Booked a river cruise Moscow to St Petersburg.
The Pros. Express to Russia very responsive to all inquires.
The English speaking manager of the Cruise and all local guides outstanding.
We had a suite, but conversation with others told us that all rooms were clean and comfortable.
Food was good.
All programs on the boat were excellent.

The cons. We were not on passenger list when we arrived.
The English speaking group were all from A1 travel and we were not included in the English speaking dinning room. 2 other couples also not included in English speaking dinning room. We were step children, basically. The manager was excellent and included us in all activities and we rode the bus with English speaking only. This could have, however been a big problem, if the manager was not so good. They spent 3 meals a day with each other socializing. We had no English speakers in our dining room.
It was a bold face lie by company that there is A/C. THERE IS NO A/C. The units are as loud as a jet liner and blow around the air in the cabin. We were lucky to have cooperating temperatures if we kept the windows open. Again, despite the claims there is no A/C. All passengers told same story.
It is a bold face lie that there is internet. THERE IS NO INTERNET. I REPEAT, THERE IS NO INTERNET. Because I was informed that there was, I told my family. Then I disappeared. No contact in when in port mnext to a terminal building with strong internet. THEY LIE. STATED SIGNAL "can be weak". No, there is no internet and they know this.
There is no coffee or tea except at meal time. I felt sorry for those who got up early and had to sit and wait for breakfast to get coffee. SHAMEFUL. We had a suite and the ability to make coffee at will. I was so grateful for this.

In summary the trip was awesome but there were problems as stated. The wonderful staff made up for all ills.
Express to Russia should have arranged English speaking meals for us as other companies did for their clients. At the lest, we should have been informed that we would be the step children.
We certainly should have been informed that their was no A/C and no internet, by Express to Russia, instead of them perpetuating lie.

We suggest to Express to Russia they they actually take a river trip on each of the trips they book. Then, honestly, report the real situation to potential passengers. We may have booked a different ship if we had known the truth. Misrepresenting reality is never a good thing.

I also travelled from Moscow to St Petersburg on a Sapsan train which arrived exactly in time (much better than often in Germany!) :-)
I also get some sandwhiches, chocolate bar, water and slippers for free what I did not expect.

Only one thing which could be improved. It was not on this turn.
But I "booked"/"reserved" another train more than 60 days in advance. They told me, that the price can change a little bit. But as I could really buy the ticket the prize was doubled ... I suggest either to not show the price in advance or keep it for "first come first served" customers.
But again some positive aspect of this: The refunding was done quickly and without any anger.

So summarised I would recommend "Express to Russia" at any time :-)

The hardest part of the whole thing was getting the visa; having filled out the forms online and printing them to take to the Russian Federation visa office, we were told that they were incorrect and we had to fill them out again. We did this providing identical information and they were accepted within minutes - hay ho. From then on everything went well with fantastic flights (KLM) and hotel (The Roses). What can I add to what has already been written about St Petersburg - it's magnificent. The people are charming and amusing and the Hermitage is astounding. Don't believe all the propaganda stories about Russia/the Russian people. It's an amazing place - go and see for yourselves. Express to Russia are spot on for advice and very professional. The web site is user friendly and responses are quick.

This was my first travel to Russia and used the services of Express to Russia on a 4 day private trip to The Golden Ring. Everything went exactly as planned, the attention form the staff in the buying process through the internet to the last day of the trip. The drive, guides were extremely polite, and the hotels have matched the expectations. I would recommend their services without hesitation.

All booking and payment procedures were quickly, efficiently and professionally completed. All office staff from St Petersburg to Irkutsk and Ulaanbaatar provided excellent service. Special thanks to Anastasia Tomnikova in St. Petersburg for answering so many questions promptly and for ensuring all bookings were finalized. The train trip was simply amazing and went without a hitch. As far as I could research, the cost of our tickets were cheaper from Express to Russia than from any other similar service provider. The trains were clean and punctual to the minute at all stations of our 8,000 plus kilometers of track. Employees aboard the trains were very customer oriented and did an amazing job in upkeep of the wagon facilities and restaurant car. In fact we lost an IPad at one station and discovered it missing after we left the station and within 20 minutes the head of the staff on our train located it and had it sent on the next train 2 1/2 behind us where we recovered the lost item. I can whole heartedly recommend Express to Russia too anyone contemplating travel in Russia. From our experience I have 100% trust in the company and its staff and that is invaluable. I will use them on any further trips to Russia.

Had a very good experience. All our questions regarding the cruise we're answered quickly and professionally. We knew what to expect and we're pleasantly surprised when some aspects turned out to be better than expected. Highly recommend this agency.

Excellent service! Loved Russia and Express to Russia made it so easy for us. We do not like organized tour groups. The private tours we did in St Petersburg and Moscow were great. Excellent our guides who spoke perfect English.

Had a lovely smooth journey on a Sapsan train from Moscow to St Petersburg. I was well looked after by the staff who served up a nice meal and a drink ( Could have had Vodka but settled for a large can of Beer) I was also given slippers to put on for the Journey. Train arrived in St Petersburg on time. Very pleased with the service. Would highly recommend. PS. This was business class.

One of the best tour companies that we've used. Hotel was great, guide was great, driver was great.

I was travelling and had not slept for the entire night. The staff had my room prepared first (prior to my scheduled check in) so that I could sleep early. the location was ideal and close to everything. I appreciated the hotel's willingness to accommodate me. Would stay here again!

We are singaporean and visiting Russia is a challenge for us. We enrolled Express to Russia to procure tickets for us. In the process ER answered many of our queries very promptly and professionally. Payment was also done securely. In fact ER approximated the cost for our tickets and refunded immediately the balance to us once the ticket sale was opened. My Wife and I are grateful to ER for helping to make our journey smoothly.

So we booked two tickets first class from Irkutsk to Vladivostok. Express to Russia had a very professional communication, immediate response to questions.
