Fairfield Wreckers stocked a large part I couldn't find anywhere else. They sent it clear to the other side of Australia for me, well wrapped and in perfect condition. And all the way through, the communication from them was excellent. Really impressed.

The staff worked extremely slowly. Customers had to wait more than an hour even though they said it would only take two minutes to bring out the item to view. This is by far the worst service I’ve experienced in any parts shop. The staff were indifferent, unhelpful, and only gave half‑hearted answers. I wasted so much time and ended up leaving. Truly one of the worst companies in terms of customer service

Overall terrible service due to multiple reasons.

Job - Engine supply and fit by Fairfield autoparts

Time frame - from original 2-3 days was more than week. Always delaying the final day, left me without ute for more than 7 days therefore impacted my ability as tradesman

Unsure but possible steal attempt - asked speficaly to keep my injectors from old engine ( they were brand new genuine retailing over 4000$ ). After job was done they gave me back some different aftermarket cheap injectors. After noting that they start sending me different ones. Only after realising I have picture of codes on them they have sent me back my old ones.

Quality of work - right the day of the pick up my car jumped into limp mode and engine is noisy around 2k rpm to this day even when I was told it was driven and checked.
Contacted fairfield auto and had to deliver car to them again for inspection. They came back telling me that my exhaust is not genuine and it is causing all these issues ( standart 3inch exhaust, nothing unusual for hilux 1KD engine) also telling me this car was tuned ( never tuned it ) and this is causing issues. Day after they came back and told me it is only turbo charger actuator and rest is good.

Car damage - they have returned my car damaged on side. After bringing this up they denied any faults on their side and did not even bother checking cameras. Manager told me that I have to pay him 100$ to check this. His name was Elias I believe, which is extremely rude and u professional.

Would never deal with this business and never would recomend to anyone. You might get lucky and there won't be any problems , but if there are you can be assured that these shady guys are not dealing with them.

Incredible service easy to deal with one of the parts where wrong part and one phone call they sent the part from Sydney to Mackay in two days, full pellet of parts and all where like new and as described, the packaging and amount of bubble wrap to protect the parts where first class its a shame I didn’t get a photo of it all wrapped, highly recommend a Fairfield motor wreckers Sydney
