I wouldn't do it again...
I was impressed by how fast the process went with my refund. However, the requests for supporting documentation was ridiculous. Not everyone files a police report for concert tickets being stolen especially when it is under $100. That is a complete waste of resources. Additionally, seeing a doctor every time you get sick is also not always necessary and many do it through ZOOM so getting a "doctors note" is ridiculous. Providing proof that you are permanently disabled should suffice!

I was very impressed with the service…
I was very impressed with the service from FanShield. We had a death of a parent in our family and all I had to do was explain the situation and send a copy of the death certificate. The said I would hear back within 24 hours. Within an hour I had heard I was getting a full refund.

Beware - predatory and not consumer friendly
Purchased refund protection for a work trip through an affiliate site called requestmyrefund.com. A few days after booking, I receive word that due to an unforeseen circumstance out of my company's control (the details of which are covered by an NDA), I had to cancel my hotel booking. No big deal, right? I paid for the package that allowed me cancelation protection. Nope. Wrong. I didn't purchase cancelation protection. I fell for a scam.
This company made absurd documentation requests before ultimately declining my refund. They made no effort to work with me and in actuality, made every effort to prevent me from receiving a refund and hid behind their garbage TOS.
Even the policy from the booking website said I'm entitled to a partial refund if made before a certain date - which I was within those date parameters - and they're still trying to avoid paying me my money back.
Sure, this might be a legit company that technically provides a service. For example, you would probably get a refund if a loved one died as long as you provided a death certificate and a picture of the corpse. But it is absolutely predatory and should be avoided at all costs.
